Try releasing your fingers upon seeing Samsung Galaxy Note 2 i.e upon boot up. Did you check if your volume button works? It seems that what you did was power+home+vol down that is why your on downloading mode. Hope it helped.

thanks for reply
1- the volume buttons works fine
2- the displayed screen is not the download mode (in download mode the yellow triangle appear, and a warning appear and ask you to continue press volume up,and an information of the device appear on the top of screen etc...)
3- i hold press the vol up+home+power until the "samsung galaxy note 2" appear and then disappear for the first time, in the past the "samsung galaxy note 2" appear second time then i release my fingers, then it disappear and then the device boot into recovery.
but now the "samsung galaxy note 2" doesnot appear the second time, and the "downloading" screen appear

Not loading onto Philz recovery mode screen
I added or rooted using Odin on my Note2 running android 4.3 however when I enter boot recovery it loads with the following options:
Reboot system Now
Apply update from ADB
.
.
.
.
Apply update from cache
It did say Pass on Odin when I followed the process to install Philz.
Not sure what I am doing wrong. Please suggest

[Q] Samsung Galaxy "recovery booting" cant boot up normally

i recently flashed my phone with Gapps in order to upgrade to CyanogenMod 11, after that i downloaded an app called Reboot Recovery to boot my android into recovery mode. I didnt boot android up into recovery mode manually due to the irregular booting it has recently (such as boot up then shutdown sequences) after that the screen went black with only 2 words in blue "recovery booting" then shutdown again. I attempted to boot it up with power button but the 2 words appear again and shutdown once more, also tried manually enter recovery mode, that also did not work, and i took off the battery, tried to charge with phone etc....to no avail. Please help.
Flash recovery with Odin and try again

[Q] Stuck at "Recovery Booting...." when trying to enter cwm recovery mode

Hi
Recently I tried to install cwm on my Samsung Galaxy Grand. But when I tried to enter recovery mode after flashing cwm recovery using odin, "Recovery Booting...." shows up at the top left hand corner of the phone and will not enter cwm recovery mode.
Below is the steps i did to flash cwm recovery on my phone:
1. Transfered SuperSU on to my phone SD Card
2. Off my phone and entered download mode( Vol Down+Home Button + Power Button)
3. Open up odin v3.04, selected PDA and chose the .tar file, deselected the auto reboot option
4. Click Start and its says "PASS"
5. Removed the battery for 5s and put it back in
6. Tried to enter cwm recovery mode (Vol Up+Home Button + Power Button)
7. Stuck at the recovery booting screen
The phone is still able to work and enter stock recovery when i remove the battery and turn it back on.
Please help me and Thank You for spending your time to read this

How to Enter "Recovery Mode" on Asus Zenfone 2
Turn Off your Zenfone 2
Hold Power button + Volume up
When the phone is vibrating release the Power button
Then the Display change like this
You can select "Normal Boot" or "Recovery Mode" by pressing Volume Up/Down, to enter Recovery choose "Recovery Mode"
Then you will see sleep Android Robot, Press Power button and Volume up, after one second release the Volume up
You will see Asus Zenfone 2 Recovery Mode
after that follow these steps and BOOM BAM !! I DID IT
Download and Install ADB and drivers on your PC.
Download the latest Stock ROM from the Asus website by visiting the following links. If your device got bricked after a recent OTA software update, wait a few days while Asus uploads the latest Stock ROM. On the page below, select Android as the OS and then expand the Firmware section. For non WW devices, please check your regional Asus website for the download details.
Zenfone ZE551ML Stock ROM
Zenfone ZE550ML Stock ROM
Copy the downloaded Stock ROM to the folder where you installed ADB (Generally C://adb)
In power off state, press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power Key till the phone vibrates. Release the power key at vibration, but keep pressing the Volume Up key. Wait for the phone to boot into fastboot mode.
In the fastboot mode, keep pressing the Volume Down key till you see Recovery Mode. Press Power Key to select it.
In recovery mode, select Apply update from ADB.
Connect your phone to the PC and open the ADB folder. Right click while holding down the shift key and choose Open command window here.
Pass the following command in ADB. Replace file.zip with the name of Stock ROM zip (eg: UL-Z00A-WW-2.19.40.22-user.zip) downloaded in step 2.
adb sideload file.zip
Wait for the process to complete as it will take a couple of minutes.
Reboot the phone when it is all done and hopefully your Zenfone 2 will be boot up fine, alive and working again.

Does the zenfone2 have a fastboot mode to flash the firmware manually because flashing Ota updates bricks if you never unrooted you phone. So you should just flash the firmware you were already on then unroot then flash the Ota update

adb is not able to detect my phone. is there any other way to flash the phone ?
and i am just a bit curious to know if its possible to directly flash the phone with CM12.1 without having to go through all those steps (installing the older version and unrooting and installing the OTA) ?
---------- Post added at 05:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:01 PM ----------
and how can i flash the original rom when adb doesn't detect my phone ??

Possible Soft brick

So I may have softbricked my tablet, I was running latest ytab and installed the wrong xposed version, I also had the zip to remove it, but I can no longer boot into recovery. I can boot to download, and standard boot is stuck on splash screen. I've tried adb and fastboot recovery, but neither is recognizing my device in download mode (are they supposed to?). I have odin working with correct drivers. But I haven't been able to reboot to recovery to uninstall xposed. (power,home/volume up isnt working for me)

Stuck in recovery after ADB with broken power button

Its very complicated. My T705's power button was damaged by water. And i flashed Stock MM rom with odin. It was fine after flashing, the tablet boot into the os properly, work very well in the os.
But then i want to wipe the cache and data after that, so i was using the code"adb reboot to recovery" to get into recovery mode because my power button was broken. (I thought it can be using home button to select in recovery mode)
But the nightmare is i can't select anything in recovery mode which requiring a power button. So i can't wipe the cache, also can't select the option to reboot my tablet...... I've tried to hold both the volume down and home key to go to the download mode menu, and select restart by holding volume down, but it go to recovery again even after removing the battery, i think it's because the adb command.
And the strangest thing is i can't use my volume up button in download mode menu, so sadly i can't flash the rom again,:crying: but the volume up is working well in recovery and in the os......
Is there anyway to prevent the tablet to boot into the recovery again? I'm quite sure it's not the problem when flashing MM rom, the problem should be the adb command makes my tablet boot into recovery until i change the boot setting in recovery mode.

Holding vol down + home key can boot to the download mode menu.
But the device will automatically turn on after inserting the battery, no need to press any button, but the device only boot into recovery after i use the adb boot into recovery command.

If that's the case that means the power button is stuck on or you wouldn't be able to power on or boot to Download mode.
All you need to do is flash the stock firmware or twrp and it will reboot back to the OS.
Hopefully I've got your fix:
When you insert the battery your device boots up, if so, insert the battery and press the correct key combo while the splash screen from logo.bin is showing to boot into the download mode.
After that flash TWRP latest version with Odin. Then when your phone again boots to recovery, chose Reboot -> System to boot Android.
---
If the above isn't applicable and you can start Android somehow, I will download either FlashFire or MobileOdin to flash another recovery/ROM.

And don't know why the volume up doesn't work in the download mode menu, stuck in the download mode menu and can't select the option "continue" to go into the download mode
