Hi xda.
Since i'll be returning my note7 and exchanging it for an s7 edge, i wonder if there's a way to save all the notes i made with the phone and also if theres an app the i can view them with on th s7.
I've been using the note products since the note 2 and have made hundreds of notes which i kept as i upgraded. Most of these notes are important for my work as a product design engineer(sketches, calculations) so i would really want to still be able to use them when i change to the s7. Hopefully samsung will still come up with a future note device because the s-pen is really a huge convenience for me. I've never had a non-note smartphone ever and its probably going to be hard adjusting to the s7.
Would appreciate if you could help me out.

Thanks for the quick one.
But how about viewing them in the s7? Can i install the notes app in the s7 just for the purpose of being able to view them or maybe even be able to edit them sans the s-pen functions?

I got one of these to use with my S7 Edge. That way I have something compact to carry around for spontaneous note taking. I forward calls to it from my S7 and use it with IconX ear buds when I only want to carry one device. It's a fun little tablet.

You can load S Note on your S7 and view all the notes you've created on other devices. There's a Windows version too.

Well then I guess I'll go for the s7e for the meantime but i'll definitely be getting what samsung comes up with next for the note line.
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
Does anyone how to contact Samsung for requesting them to design an official accessory? Or even an after market company if its interested in making physical (bluetooth?) keyboard for Galaxy note.
Something like this:

I don't think anyone buying Galaxy note is concerned about the size or thickness of such accessory and probably it can make gripping the phone easier. Also, it is possible to add more battery juice with such design. With all that in mind, I think there is a great market for such accessory for this phone or other phones in general.
What do you think about this? and Do you know any contact info for samsung (Not the customer service - I want to contact someone who takes my words seriously) or other companies to ask them for such accessory?
Brief info (You can skip it):
I really got tired from waiting for mobile with dual-core (now seems: quad cores are coming), good GPU, 1GB RAM & with sd-card extendability and decent screen with physical keyboard and good battery. After long time waiting, Galaxy Note came to meet my needs, but with only one major thing missing for me a physical keyboard. After seeing a physical case for iPhone, I said why there can't be any for Galaxy note? and here I am writing new thread about this.
OMG this accessory is my DREAM.
Is theire any keybord like this compatible with the Galaxy S2 ???

eBay and Google might help you in this. Yesterday, I couldn't find one for Samsung Galaxy (Only for TAB like dock) or anything rather than iPhone.

First, thanks for this useful post.
I think I needed to be more specific about this, the keyboard should be in case. I mean when you need it, you slide it out and when finish get it in. Like Droids(milestones) and Xperia Pro/Play.
It is really annoying to carry bt keyboard with you all the time (as the official bt keyboard).
By the way, Logitech keyboard doesn't seems particle. Having it seems better than nothing and I'll need to think about it more. Also, Do you think it going to fit with Galaxy note?
Edit: it seems the guy with the keyboard (Logitech diNovo Mini) attached it to his dell streak with tape.

The Logitech keyboard looks amazing. I think i will buy it and test with my Note. But it's pretty expensive. So it will take some time.
I like physicall keyboards, and I think for such a big device like the Note you can create a great keyboard, better then HTC's.
I found on amazon some interesting bluetooth keyboards. And much cheaper. Honestly they cost min. 30 €.
I think i will order one in sone weeks for testing. If it will be good, i think i can make a matching case myself.

Anyone managed to hardhack the diNovo Mini and the Note together ?
Great keyboard but expensive ... I'm looking this with Azerty keyboard and more cheaper ...
One problem with the Note 10.1 is that it's about 1/4" wider and taller than the other Tabs. That means you can't fit it into stock cases or docks without some surgery.
So, rather than people buying things and seeing if they'll work, perhaps we can compile a list of accessories we've tried and that work well with the Note 10.1.
Today I stumbled on this:

The Asus VersaSleeve for the Pad series.
It's almost a perfect fit for the Note 10.1 - and it has a loop on the side where you can stow a space pen.
Yes, the irony is delightful.
More info here: http://www.asus.com/Peripherals_Accessories/Eee_Pad_Accessories/VersaSleeve/
Also, in case you didn't know - almost ANY Wacom PenEnabled pen (ie: TabletPC pen) works with the Note 10.1
For example - the digital pen for the Samsung Series 7 Slate:
Not only works fine - it adds the eraser end which works with most app. Being longer and heavier - it's easier to use to draw and write.
More info here: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Serie...4&sr=8-1&keywords=samsung+series+7+tablet+pen
If you search for PenEnabled in Amazon, you can find other colours and styles as well.
Enjoy!

Hows the quality? Doe's it close nicely when the tablet is in?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
I just got my Galaxy note 8, but when I initially started using it, I noticed that the s-pen didn't seem very responsive. When I took a look at the tip, it is kind of shaped at an angle. When I look at stock pics of the s-pen online, it looks like it has a rounded dome tip on it. I don't want to have to send back the whole unit, but the pen is really the main reason I bought this tablet. Can anyone let me know if the angled tip isn't normal?
Can you post a picture of what you are talking about so we can try to help?
- sent from my Note 8.0 using XDA Developers App
Here's a couple pics, not the greatest, but you can see that the tip of the S-Pen isn't uniform.

Mine is like in the stock photos with a rounded nib, not like the one in the OP's photos with an angled nib...I have the n5110 model. What about you?

I have the GT-N5110, the brown color one from amazon.
I had one of those malformed tips as well on my Note 8 (n5100) and had it replaced with a new one (which looks and behaves alright). Just contact your reseller or Samsung for a replacement.

I agree, Amazon has a great return policy. I would contact them and ask for a replacement pen. If not I am sure Samsung will cover it with your warranty. Best of luck!

I just saw that Tab Pro 8.4 is $199 at Best Buy. I want to buy it but the bloatware on the tablet is unpleasing. Is it hard to remove the bloatware of Samsung app and get it back to stock android?

Well, you won't get it to stock unless you root and load a custom rom. You can somewhat de-bloat, but touchwiz is going to be there. You can freeze the Samsung crapware. I would install the google experience or another launcher of your choice.
Is it worth buying it at $199 or should I shell out $200 more for the Nexus 9? I had a Nexus 7 so I don't know if it last more than a year. And don't want to but it and stop working like my Nexus 7.
Seeing that nexus 9 is twice the cost and has mixed reviews I wouldn't.
I have both and Nexus 9 is so sweet. Lollipop and blazing fast. Great upgrade, but now that the tab pro 8.4 is only $200, I can only get $150 used, so I am going to keep the dang thing.
Well, I selected the Tab Pro over the Nexus 9 based on the size of my wife's hands. She cannot palm the 9. I think the Tab Pro is well worth $200. I use a Note 10 and don't find the bloat too off-putting, but have frozen several things. For reference, my phone is a Moto with the google experience launcher, so I go for pretty bare Android by choice.
Personally, I think the Tab Pro is a steal at $200 and has a sd card slot. The Nexus 9's 16gbs for 400 is pathetic.
Here is a list of the apps I have frozen on my Tab Pro 8.4 but I have way more frozen then what is actually necessary.

By frozen do you mean you went into the app listing and checked turn off or force stop or are you rooted.

I used an app called App Quarantine that does require root. Lucky there was a bug in the kernel that can be exploited to towel root without losing my warranty.
Stick with the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 on deep discount
Android Lollipop is a reason to AVOID the Nexus 9, IMO!
Once rooted, I flashed this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...-rooted-deodex-t320xar1ang1-08-02-14-t2836052
Added tweaks via Exposed Framework and Nova launcher.
To put this in perspective, I flashed the Lollipop factory image on my Nexus 7 and after 2 days I reverted to KitKat (same setup as on the Tab). The deal breaker on L was non-availability of Xposed; I'm a lot happier with my tweaked K.
Hello,
Im thinking of buying a Samsung galaxy fold z 4 for my work in the hospital.
There are two main things I want to be able to do with it:
1-Utilise portable ultrasound using a Clarius Ultrasound scanner which I have and use with iPhone at moment. Could someone please install this free app from App Store "Clarius Ultrasound App",create a free account and load a virtual scanner"demo" in the app and send screenshot in fullscreen mode please of abdominal scan?

Clarius Ultrasound App – Apps on Google PlayThe Clarius App operates Clarius Ultrasound Scanners for medical professionals.

I would greatly appreciate it as need to know if it will work for work with the ultrasound scanner I have, You don't need a scanner to view the virtual scanner in the app. the virtual scanner mode is used to show off the scan quality that can be achieved with the device.
I'm concerned I would buy the phone and the image would not work in full screen tablet mode utilising the two screens as one large one to show a larger ultrasound image.
2-Interested in using Microsoft word to annotate daily notes but may just use Galaxy notes.Let me know which is best in terms of handwriting search.
THanks for your help
Here you go.
Interface is a little big but it's working fullscreen.
About the handwriting, Note and Fold use the same system, so you're gonna have exactly the same experience, except with a bigger screen on the Fold, and that you have to keep your S pen in your pocket.

You're welcome !
If your screen is in front of you you don't even see the hinge.
On the side, with a black picture it's barely visible.
Honestly that's really not an issue and you quickly get use to it. The biggest "problem" is with the S pen when you write on it, that's surprising at first.
I come from a Note and I really enjoy it.

I think that will do a great job for keeping in pocket for when need to do quick ultrasound.
I’m Kean to see if will be good for keeping notes on for myself.
Does it search text of pdf in Samsung notes? I know it can search handwritten words and numbers which looks good
Def looks like best contender
Just tried with a pdf and yeah the research is working in the content.
That's great I didn't even know that that's gonna save me a lot of time.
