[STOCK-ROM] Looking for stock ROM for SGH-i927 || Network issues - Samsung Captivate Glide

Hi,
I have issues with network working (especially in 3G mode). Hidden menu #*#*4636#*#* says: from -111 dBm 1 asu to -97 dBm 8 asu when in HSDPA/HSDPA+ mode, I don't know what it means but network icon shows mostly 1/4 sometimes even 0/4 to ocassionaly, rare maximum 3/4 of bars. When I toggle 2G mode then I've got -97 dBM 8 asu to 81 dBM 16 asu, and mostly of time 3 of 4 bars are white. I'm using this phone in Poland where it was not distributed.. SIM card is registering under this network: https:// en.wikipedia.org / wiki / Play_(telecommunications)
Firstly when I get phone I had messy OMNI 4.4.4 HOMEMADE, many apps was not working, and got the major problem from above.
I decided to try CM11 01/2016 4.4.4 and PAC-MAN KK-RC3 4.4.4, but that not solve the problem. I'm looking for stock ROM from AT&T, I wish to try last version of GB or if no one got it then last version of ICS. I'm using TeamWin Recovery Project 2.8.4 for flashing, so I would prefer compatible ZIP, if not I think I can try use Odin.
If someone can give me a firmware file or advice (I'm not advance in this, I know only basics in this topic - seek and check right ROM, copy, reset to recovery, wipe, install and reboot)
Thanks for all help

As usual...
***I take no responsibility to any damage caused by flashing this ROM or Modems***

Many have been requesting the ROM itself as there have been issues flashing it via KIES (gee, no wonder). I'm uploading the full copy so you can flash it via ODIN... This ROM is the exact same copy you will get from KIES, with NO MODIFICATIONS.
Download Here. This is for the LATAM version of the GT-I9000T FULL ROM, should work as well in other areas with the 850 Band.

MODEM

Extracted from the latest Official Gingerbread 2.3.3[I9000TUBJV6] for the I9000T (thanks to caribbean_spur for the heads-up in this thread )
I flashed it myself and its working fine and fast! Download Here
Just flash it via ODIN under PHONE, select the file and you're set (don't tic repartition or other options, Keep It Simple). At the moment I haven't created a CWM version to flash it directly from the ROM; my guess is ODIN is the safest way to go.
CM7 Version (just tested under MIUI MCGv4.3 and v5.1, working fine) Flash via CWM
Post your results and enjoy!
that's mean that there is official 2.3.3 I9000T version? with I9000T 2.3.3 bootloader?
Posted the complete ROM.
thanks for this nice to have an updated modem with the band activated will try it out

It's working with MIUI 2.3.4, 2.6.35.7-GlitchV9 Kernel. I guess the only way you can find out is same as me ... TEST!
I've tested it so far with Stock 2.3.3 and MIUI.
Saludos.
CWM version attached. Not sure if it's working, will test it in a second.
Granted it should work but I may have messed up.
Thanks
Working on JVH
Oh my God! I flashed it over JL2 in CM7/MIUI and it went from 2 bars to 4 bars! There is no way to force a band in CM7, so JL2 kept on reverting to the inferior 900 band.
The GPS didn't work at first. Then I looked up the right ntp server from http://www.pool.ntp.org/zone/@. Mine was ca.pool.ntp.org. I got a fix but it keeps switching between 0 satellites and 6 satellites. The fix isn't as stable as JL2.
Altogether- JV6 must be focusing on the 850 band because I'm getting four bars now. This is good news for anyone in Canada!!!!

My friend... there IS indeed a way you can force WCDMA in some CM7 versions, I guess you divorced the search button?
Punch *#*#4636#*#*, go to Phone information go down to the Pull-down menu and select WCDMA Only.
Give it a try and see what happens.. I'm glad the modem helped you up there!
Cheers

Not the same thing. You can't force band selection under cm7.
Modem is working well after a day of use under cm7 nightly 05/21. Idle drain may be a bit higher then jl2, but too early to say for sure.
Sent from i9000m on cm7, with xda premium.
I know you built this specifically for the 9000T.....do you know if I'll brick my device if I flash it on my i9000? (International) version. Thanks!
I flashed this modem to my i9000 international with early 10.1 RE and works great.

Well, I lost my IMEI flashing to CM7 also, there is a guide in my signature how to backup/restore the IMEI(only if you have the nv_data file) , that's a MUST The most important file ANYONE should keep handy is the nv_data.bin
It actually depends on which ROM you come from, I didn't lose anything when flashing to this, so everyone will have a different results.
It's not ONLY for 9000Ts, Its a 850Mhz Oriented modem (very popular in Latin America, Australia, Canada, Caribbean, Mexico, Argentina and Brasil). I have flashed 9000m, and 9000 ROMs on my SGS, all are the same. The only "functional" thing that changes are the CSCs and the Modems.

were you able to adjust to a 850 signal? I am running latest MIUI and still haven't figured out if it's hardware or a modem.bin that can dictate an 850 signal. I would love to run 3G on my i9000 international but it's still a mystery to me.
Would be grateful to hear if anyone has some insight.
BTW I flashed it last night...batter life is significantly better but still on EDGE only.
Deodexed UBJV6 CWM package
This is the deodexed UBJV6 CWM package which have been requested by some members now:
PDA/Modem/CSC:
UBJV6/UBJV6/UUBJV6: Download (159.5 MB) (Double-Click to extract) MD5:c27a5d73dc5f6c23c206b7cad57bba3d
As you all know by now so you need to have GB bootloaders in order to run GB firmware, this means that the same rules applies to this package as it does with the stock GB, Froyo bootloaders are no-go.
I haven't tested this package on my device (don't have I9000T), so I cannot tell how it performs, I hope that you will not face any problems using it.
Good luck to all of you.
UBJV6 for Odin by Hamad here (with bootloader).

doze this require a 2.3.3 bootloader

[Q] check model type / add phone recording

I recently purchased in Hong Kong a LG G3 of whom I am very satisfied.
I have already rooted it.
I have 3 questions:
1. how can I check which model do I own? (D850? D851? D855?)
2. I have rooted it, but what will happen when I do the next official OTA upgrade? Will I lose the rooting?
3. MISSING feature: the only feature I miss (from my previous device) is the possibility to record a phone call. Is there a possibility, via a kernel or a specific apk, to restore this capability? Or do I need to flash a custom ROM (I wish not) ?
Thank you
Saulo
I have one more question:
I am currently in China. I am sure that China Unicom is currently using TD LTE (borrowing the network from China Mobile), since the deployment of their own FD LTE will start, at least in my area, in January 2015. How can then my LG G3 show the 4G icon in the top bar?
Does LG G3 have TD LTE embedded in the Ericsson LTE modem?
By contrast, my Samsung Note 4 SM-910C (which has several FD LTE bands but NOT TD LTE) is showing H+ (WCDMA) in the top bar, under the same condition, same SIM card, etc.
Thanks
Saulo
Hi all
Who can help this man?
I also want to know how to check the proper model number (D850....)
Maybe.... Settings --> Phone Information --> Hardware Information --> First entry??
If you rooted your phone and you install an OTA Update, the root is gone. That was my experience. But I saw some tutorials where other people still have root access. Nevermind... you can root with easily after your OTA Update.

1- By adding your IMEI to the end of this link in your browser you can check your model: csmg.lgmobile(dot)com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=
2- AFAIK, for the OTA updates it's more convenient to flash a stock rom to unroot and then rooting again after OTA update
3- There may be some apps allowing this feature, however I don't use any
ACR works for call record in
IF you don't want to upgrade to 5.0 yet and prefer staying on 4.4, install xposed and G3 tweaksbox, it unlocks the built-in ability to record (and auto record) all calls.
Hi molius. Do you mean that with 5.0 we do have by default the phone call recording feature? And. By the way, do you know when version 5.0 can be installed? Will it be OTA ?

It's recommended not to update OTA if you are rooted, and want to stay rooted as it may cause instability. More information on that and how to update safely here http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/psa-stop-taking-ota-updates-update-t2909412

n910p Sprint in Europe.

I do live in Uk and Spain, and I purchased this refurbished device knowing that supports 800mhz and 1800mhz enough for calls and 4G data connection in both countries.
It came from china with an unknown ROM, it did work fine with 4G Data.
But I can't live without a rooted device. So I flashed stock ALL_SPT_N910PVPU4COG5_N910PSPT4COG5 then I realized that couldn't be rooted and worse I can't roll back.
Then tried the, among several, next combinations that I remember.
- Stock n910p......OG5 + Auto root = Crash!
- Stock n910p......OG5 + official upgrade to Marshmallow PE1 + Root = No SIM signal at all
(this is odd)
- Stock n910p......OG5 + [ROM][6.0.1][TRLTESPR] Emotion AOSP R10 [OFFICIAL] = only 3G only if use menu *#*#4636#*#* toggle to wcdma
So I only need automatic gprs- 3G - 4G and Root independently of being in a custom or stock ROM. Any suggestions?
(Must be a way where sprint user can use the device in Europe and enjoy 4G and calls.)
Thanks

Flashing [ROM] [Hybrid-X] [Lollipop 5.0 & 5.1.1] [Pre-Rooted+Mods+AEL-Kernel] [8/25/2015] = If I force LTE connection I don't get any signal; In automatic network selection, max download speed is 3G or 3.5Mbps download-Test (whilst my old Note 3 in 4G arrives to 12Mbps download)
Any Ideas?
Thanks
Same problem - let me know if you work it out please!
I have the same problem but in Australia, tried updating grey market rooted SM-N910P that was working fine on Lollipop N910PVPU4COG5 to Marshmallow stock N910PVPU4DPE1. But now it appears to be a USA SPRINT CDMA version and no longer shows LTE/WCDM/GSM and SIM won't work on Australian network. Clearly I have a lot to learn.

Go back to OOS 3.2.6 or flash any custom Lollipop or Marshmallow ROM. (I'd recommend Lollipop) Go to 4636 menu. Set radioband selection to automatic. Then upgrade to CB or whatever you like.
P.S. Obviously you'll have to wipe the data while downgrading. Sorry mate.
many thanks for your suggestion
solved it using shorcut lite

will NON lte roms work on an LTE 8.9?

i do NOT care if the LTE works, i just want a rom that works on wifi. the crdroid rom i have on my non-lte tablet won't boot on the LTE tablet.
any rom EDIT: 4.2 android or HIGHER please END EDIT that is somewhat stable would be fine, any suggestions?
SIDE NOTE: i got a response from the "re-formed" liquidsmooth" team, they say they must not have saved / backed up the jem roms. that was all they replied.
UPDATE. the Android 7.11 crdroid rom works great on my wife's LTE model. HAVE NOT TRIED A SIM CARD!!! But the ROM installed and does have all the LTE data options in settings. END UPDATE.
