Hi everyone,
I've a little problem with my OP3, Yesterday I removed my OOS 3.2.6 with TWRP, I flashed the stock recovery back and then I've sideloaded the last OOS 3.5.3 Community Build. Today i'd like to flash the TWRP, i launched the Fastboot menu, nothing seems to go wrong by flashing but when i tried to boot into the recovery, the "1+ powered by android" appears for 5 sec and then a black screen, no TWRP screen... Same problem by trying to restore the OnePlus stock recovery..
I tried "fastboot -w" (wipe) this bring back the stock recovery.
I tried to sideload, OOS 3.5.3, OOS 3.5.3, ResurectionRemix 2.7.4 and CM14 but all of them failed at 47% of work...
I'm thinking that there is a problem caused by an encryption...
"fastboot format userdata" didn't solve the problem..
I'd like to know wich partition i can format/erase to remove this encryption (Loss of data is not a problem for me)
Thanks in advance
Have you tried to flash the modified TWRP ?

Yes, same problem as TWRP
Same thing happened to me on flashing twrp after sideloading CB 3.5.2 through stock recovery. But flashing the modified twrp 3.0.2-19 solved the issue.
It is newer firmware that won't let you boot into TWRP.
Flash modified TWRP 3.0.2-19 recovery through fast boot.
Then flash <=3.5.0 firmware from here using TWRP.
Then flash this TWRP 3.0.2-0 image again from fast boot.
Then flash a ROM of your liking.
If all else fails, you can try this (flash stock recovery and 3.2.4 FW) WITHOUT relocking and then flash TWRP 3.0.2-0 from the above link to see if that works.

I've been able to Flash the Modified recovery, and it booted. By flashing the patch, no problem detected, but after flashing the 3.0.2-0 same black screen as earlier...
So I flashed the modified back, and by trying to flash ResurectionRemix for exemple, no error happenned but, when boot begin, same problem as twrp ...
EDIT : Sorry guys, i didn't read correctly.. I was flashing the same patch ! The 3.5.3 and not the 3.5.0 !!! Normal TWRP is booting corectly now, i'll see for ROM !
Thank you very much to you !!
EDIT 2 : RR 2.7.4 BOOT !!! Thank you so much !

I'm not sure if this is considered the proper way to do it, but this is what i did to fix the same issue you had. I was previously on FreedomOS running 3.2.4, of which i had a nandroid backup of. Also, it should be noted that you'll need a working ADB setup on your desktop for this to work.
Download the following files to your computer:
TWRP 3.0.2-1 from the twrp website at: https://dl.twrp.me/oneplus3/twrp-3.0.2-1-oneplus3.img.html
TWRP 3.0.2-19 (the one that supports flashing 3.5.2)
Stock OxygenOS 3.2.4 ROM from OnePlus at: http://downloads.oneplus.net/oneplus-3/oneplus_3_oxygenos_3.2.4/
Once you have all that downloaded, open a command prompt and go to whatever directory you have the TWRP images downloaded in. Reboot your phone into fastboot, and connect it to your computer. Run the following command to boot into TWRP:
fastboot boot (whatever the TWRP 3.0.2-19 version is named).img
This should boot you into TWRP recovery. Transfer the TWRP 3.0.2-1 image that you downloaded from the TWRP website to the phone as well as the stock OxygenOS 3.2.4 zip. Do a wipe of everything but the internal data, just like you would when doing a clean install of a ROM. Install the stock Oxygen OS 3.2.4 ROM. Immediately after that, flash the TWRP 3.0.2-1 image (you can do this in TWRP by going to Install-->install image, and then select the img file of the TWRP 3.0.2-1 img that you transferred earlier). This will flash the recovery. Reboot the phone and you should be able to go directly into the 3.0.2-1 recovery like normal. Inside there, restore your existing nandroid back, reboot.

it is NOT WORKING - they are working on a fix for it hopefully soon
I was on OOS community build 3.5.3 with modified twrp-3.0.2-19-oneplus3.
I wiped everything except internal storage after that I tried to flash official TWRP.
After installing official twrp via modified TWRP. Niether I can boot into my recovery nor able to install any recovery via fastboot.
it I use "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
after installing recovery with this command My bootloader get stuck then I have to again restart my bootloader.
please help
You're probably stil on 3.5.2 firmware which isnt compatible with official twrp. Try and get into fastboot and try flashing modified twrp again. Then reboot in recovery and flash 3.2.6 firmware (not the rom) from modified twrp. Then reboot and flash official twrp from recovery or in flashify app.
i had this problem the other day, fixed this by flashing the modified recovery from a post here turn it off the booted it up by holding vol down + power and somehow it worked i was able to go into twrp

Hello, I had some trouble after a CM Update. It was only possible to boot in FastBoot, now I'm a bit further and can go to Recovery and also install ROMs.
But I'm not able to boot to the system, everytime I reboot I get into recovery, does anyone has a hint for me? What to do in this case?
Right now I have this version of twrp installed: https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=21835
But with the officiall one from here: https://dl.twrp.me/oneplus3/twrp-3.0.2-1-oneplus3.img.html
I can still only go to fastboot and not to recovery, I just have no idea why...
Thanks for help allready

OOS 4 means a beta Version? Does it work with 3.2.8 as well? Thants what I would install ...
Got it a bit further, could start it by simply reboot and now I am in the system, which was installed (LineageOS 14.1) - seems to work now, thanks a lot guys!!!

Download the official recovery here:
http://oneplusroms.s3.amazonaws.com...694615&Signature=1Momnxm8gHWw03D401Oof5YxnE4=
What is the exact output if you do
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery_OBT7.img
OOS4 is the stable release. I would strongly recommend it over cm right now. It's actually quite polished.
You can download the official full zip here:

Flash TWRP 3.0.2-22 (download available in other questions. Wait a bit will link it.
Edit: https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3971072&d=1481920669 )
See if you can boot into recovery. If you can. Flash whatever rom you have or nandroid backup.
Also are you sure you're using the correct modem and firmware version? Download those recommended in the rom you're using and flash those along with the rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/one...dem-collection-flashable-zips-t3468628/page23
Recently I couldn't boot after flashing different firmware, same with different rom without its firmware and modem.
I'm on latest ob18. I am able to flash it, and run it once, but after reboot, the stock recovery gets Back. Any ideas?
Just Reflash twrp via flashify or adb in fastboot mode, that could be normal if u r flash an unmodified stock rom
Yep. On latest ob-Oos or H2o for me recovery stays, after instaltion of the rom. But on a second reboot, stock recovery shows and i reflash custom recovery again.
Guys I flashed latest H2OS beta over OOS Beta18 and lost access to recovery. These are the steps I followed, please help.
1. Backup current ROM (OB18)
2. Dirty Flash New H2OS version
3. Flash recovery image again
4. Reboot system
ROM booted without any problems and all my data is present but I lost access to TWRP.
Solution attempted: Reboot to fastboot and flash recovery image again, the process is successful but still TWRP is not coming up.
Please help. Thanks in advance
Stock rom always over writes recovery best way to get it to stick is flash stock zip than twrp reboot to twrp and reboot or flash mods/root

Thanks this worked
my flashing history:
i was on audax (oos based nougat rom) with blu spark kernel before, then went to official ob1, then back to audax, then back to stock oos nougat and now i flashed audax and after clean flashing it, it just wont boot up.
when i try to boot up i see the 1+ logo but then it reboots to recovery. i also tried flashing stock nougat again and also flashed stock kernel manually but it also doesnt work.
i always do:
1. wipe system/dalvic/cache/data
2. install ROM
3. wipe dalvik/cache
4. flash magisk (also tried without flashing magisk)
5. reboot
i've been looking on the interwebs all day but nothing worked.. help pls :/
EDIT: problem was blu spark twrp. Maybe installing Oreo ****ed it up. I flashed codeworkx newest twrp universal build and now Im able to boot again!! Btw: I also found that magisk 15.0 prohibits a proper boot up and results in a boot loop. version 15.2, however, does the trick!
when it auto reboot to recovery, formate data
When s**t happens, it is wise to start everything from scratch:
-boot in fastboot mode and flash stock recovery with "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" (rename recovery.img with your recovery filename), then reboot recovery and select english, advanced, adb sideload;
-flash stock OS with "adb sideload rom.zip" (rename rom.zip with your Oxygen OS filename).
Procedure will require some minute because of the large file size. Remember to save all your data on internal storage first!
I advice you to flash original recovery because often sideloading in TWRP leads to some error.
Your phone will boot again... after that you may reflash TWRP, Magisk etc
I had the same issue. Bootloop and jumb into recovery by itself. You have to flash magisk 15.2 via recovery and will be boot.

He says that it occurs even without Magisk... I had a similar trouble once, and the only way to solve it was the procedure I wrote above...
