The SettingsGoogle and SystemUIGoogle apps from the leaked dumps require Android 7.1 (API 25).
I changed my build.prop to 25 (on Nougat 7.0 really) and attempted to install them- the packages were valid but they had the same package as the existing versions.
If I replaced the system versions with these, could it work? Or does there need to be more work (decompiling/changing the required version to 24/recompiling like was done with the Live earth wallpapers APK) before these will run?
EDIT: Since I changed the build.prop Pixel Launcher (installed as system along with PixelLauncherIcons.apk) crashes on launch, along with Google Keyboard and Clock in certain situations. Reverting the build.prop is not fixing this, and uninstalling PixelLauncherIcons did not affect it either. This might be a problem.
In order to fix the Pixel Launcher issue you will need to reflash the rom.
As for the first issue those system ui apps will most likely have to be decompiled and recompiled like the live earth wallpapers because we are probably missing libs.

I'm running stock Nougat 7.0. What's the issue that requires a reflash?
I don't know exactly what the issue is with it. I was in the same situation as you with the Pixel Launcher where I changed the build.prop and I tried to change the SDK version back to 24 but it kept force closing, so I just reflashed the whole system image and reinstalled the Pixel Launcher through TWRP and it worked again.

Do you think the Pixel systemui.apk could work on a Nexus running 7.1 beta?

I was just going to ask if it would be a good idea to test replacing the system one with it on the 7.1 beta or not
Been a Cyanagenmod user for years, now that my nexus 5x bootlooped to death (LG hardware issue) I upgraded to a Oneplus 3. I have installed everything pretty much to my liking but I am having some trouble with installing numix icons. I downloaded numix from f-droid (I don't use play store) and can't figure out how to enable them in my system.
This page:
/iwf1. com/revamp-your-android-device-looks-with-this-gorgeous-lineage-cyanogenmod-theme
says to " go to your device’ Settings -> Themes" to enable other icon packs (but I don't have that) and I don't remember what I did for CM 13.
I know that there were some changes to Trebuchet, etc. But is is still possible, right?
I would appreciate any help. Thanks
Must be TL;DR. Let me clarify: How do you add icons (like Numix or others) to Lineage? Is it even possible?
Think I figured it out on my own. Lineage 14 doesn't have a theme engine and I guess that is needed to install icons. I have read that Substratum is needed, but if I am patient, the old CM theme engine will be coming to Lineage 14.
The app was working fine until I updated my Google Pixel 3XL to Android Q beta 4. Now as I click on the launcher icon of the app, it gets stuck in a white screen almost forever.
When I install the debug build of the app on an emulator or real device running the same version of Android, it runs fine.
What may be the possible cause of the crash and possibly its solution?
TIA
I want to install an iOs Theme because I feel it more fluid, but i noticed they all got removed from the Theme store, searching iOS you can't find anything related, not even icons, or how used to be, my iOS themes i had saved are gone, 've tried to install .mtz third party themes through different apps and they work but after a while they disable by themselves and my phone back to default theme and that's super annoying. My phone is rooted so I ask, there is a way to install an iOs Theme with magisk root or something like that. It seems the mtz themes (apply me ones) through themes store app are not fully working or working right. Or it detects them and disable them
How about substratum or hex?
The solution of this is using MIUI Theme Patcher by Kashi, a module for magisk https://github.com/Mods-Center/Miui_Theme_Mod
Thanks to the ones that tried to help me.
