Hi, I am wondering is there any way to prevent battery charning to completle full? I want to it stop something like 90%, because battery health.
There is an app in the playstore called battery alert 40/80 , I believe that is what you are looking for.....
Can i know why it must be stopet at 90% ... I see many bull**** posts about "don't charge over 94%" ... Whats the gain after a year if i do this process ? (Max charge 90%) ??

I can not understand why it happened to me, i have been using gio for over a year now with 2.3.3 and my battery could take out 2 days with music, wifi and games but a month back i flashed Cm7.2 and the battery drained like hell.
This battery issue is killing me and i tried everything, calibration, wiping stats, flashing other ROMs at 100% and alot of other tweeks but now i give up.
I think its battery problem but how can this problem arise, iam thinking to buy a new battery.
Does anyone has same issue and changed the battery?
Was the problem corrected after new battery?
Please reply as your replies would really help me
Thank You!
reflash but wipe all battery settings and retrain all wipes battery effects are software is obscure complaining(intelligent?) battery deductions
but once max==min it fails
wipe battery after 24h load then drain as far as possible at the end reboot untill it does not start any more or boot cwm
then rest a while and boot Rom.
maximizes spread software min and max
but you can never beat a real dead battery

Very glad with the work done
But sometimes a pusher for results( nothing bad intended)
So u saying, i shuld buy new battery?
I already said im gonna buy a new one as this one is swollen.
I asked if anyone used new battery after the battery is swollen and their experience.
Will 1500mAh battery on gio do good?
1500 is fine, just remove batterystats

I have also problem with battery after about 14 months: battery will go down faster than before (in normal use - not wifi, data, games...)
- Android 2.3.6
- stock ROM
- rooted
- battery stats/history not wiped
batteries dont life forever, just like humans. however, batteries are smaller, also in life. after some time and lots of charging it will lose some Mah and not have the 1300 like it has normally but maybe 1200, and even less if you use it a long time.

Yes it is known thing of all batteries (in phones, notebooks etc)... ...but it is good to know, that battery of Gio will go down after about one year (cca 150x chargings)
I really am close to killing myself due to sadness and disappointment because of my phone's battery life. lol. I have a Galaxy Note 2(4.1.1 ver) and my battery lasts for 12-16 hours. I use it mostly for Facebook, Google, Viber and YouTube. I have other typical social networking/comm apps (YM,Skype, Instagram,Twitter) but I dont use them often. I have less than 10 games (Temple Run2, Angry Birds, Diamond Dash) but I dont play for more than 15 mins. I have observed that when my phone is NOT in use, it decreases by 7-10% per hour (sometimes 1% per minute on idle) during the day. At night, before I go to sleep, it is a fully charged phone and when I wake up, 25% of the battery's life is gone within 8hrs of not touching it even to check the time. I dont know if its the normal draining rate of the battery, if its a factory defect on the battery or the phone itself, or if it is the app or android system. They say you need to turn off the location or something but I couldn't seem to find it. My phone is just 4 days old, or maybe 5. Im hoping when the phone turns a week old, things will be better. Or should I try to kill myself now? Any possible solutions???
PS. Please try to use "simple" instructions or terms. I really am not good about technology.
Update to the latest firmware.. and then do a factory reset.. do take up back up before doing the factory reset. what is your screen time? post screen shots of your battery stats.. and committing suicide is not going to solve your problem.. but still remarkable that someone considers this over battery woes..
please say to us which apps are you using because there are lots of draining apps. sqich off gps brightness at the minimum values and so on if you haven't done it yet
hope it worked to you

It doesn't say much, I mean are you playing games such as need for speed or similars? is you brightness at maximum? I use the battery saving feature of the phone and I have to say that there is no difference in performance but there is in the battery I mean it last a more than in "normal" mode. if you already tried it at it still has that draining do full wipe and flash a new rom.
Hope it was useful

Good Lord! You wanna suicide for some ****in phone's ****in battery life? Come on man. This is a simple gadget, not your child or family. Use it heavy, have fun recharge it, throw it when you are done, then use it when you in need again.
Anyway, I think you are using 3G, turn it off if you don't need it, you'll notice massive battery life increase, but if you can't disable it then I will say get used with that.
There are two simple things,
With 3G- Moderate battery life. You CAN NOT do anything to increase it.
With 2G- Solid battery life.
PS: IMO, 4.1.2 has even bad backup.

your phone has a decent battery life... at 50% your screen time is almost 3 hours which is good enough... Well now live your life:fingers-crossed: and enjoy Galaxy Note 2.. it's brilliant :good:
what a wicked world we are living ... suicide over battery issue?
try install betterbatterystats from xda ... it'll let u know which rogue apps sipping away your battery juice :good:
You must have high expectations, 12-16 hours for a charge isn't that bad, especially if you're actually using your phone a decent amount. You won't be getting a week's worth of battery at a time.
Nice thread!! u got everyone attention..lol
like someone in this thread already mention, turn off 3G when not use..Go to task manager & switch off all running background app..clear memory..Do it b4 u go to bed every night..Good luck!!

1st look seems like the blue bar is always on. Tap on the graph and see the breakdown further, whether is it awake due to screen on or not.
Lol. I was kidding you guys!!!! Well im not on 3g and I think I ticked the option gsm only on my phone. Tried clearing rom and I always make sure to end all activities. On that 50% I never played any games. Jisy browsing on fb and google. Just dl the betterbatt thingView attachment 1704752

looking at your pic... it looks like some rogue apps is keeping your phone awake eventho your screen is off
So how can I find the culprit? Charged my phone and will show you shots from betterbattery laters. Please guys, help me figure it out.
What does BBS say under "Process"?
Also, check the built-in process manager: Long-press the home button and click the pie chart. Switch to the first tab.
Is there an app where the CPU percentage changes even though the app should be sleeping and steady at 0.00%? I see that quite frequently. Mostly by the stock browser and the XDA premium app. Thats how I found the worst ones
You've posted 11 minute old stats, post from a full charge cycle.

It would. Well, she wouldn't care as much anyway....
Well op is right.
I have wifi gps 3g sync always on with close to his usage and I get 3 days straight.
Lol.
Overnight 1% drain max 2%
I think the op has got some reason to worry.
Other than that suicide is not recommended.

Hi everybody...I have this phone and I have a problem. When I charge the phone up to 100% battery and then take it from the charger, battery drops to 99 or less without phone usage...And when I go to sleep and then wake up,the phone lost about 10-15 percent...Can somebody plesase help me?
Check what's keeping your phone awake during idle, "wakelock detector" and "better battery stats". Though you need root for these. You've nor given us any details of what your phone is and what ROM?? Try searching for threads on how to calibrate your phone battery.
Ohh sorry...My phone is S4 mini GT-I9195 LTE....I have stock android 4.4.2 kitkat...I have already calibrated battery and bought new battery...But same problem...
Will be an app causing your phone to wake
I dont know...i searched on the web and someone said that stock kernel have some problems

Not always the case... Depends when and where your phone was made. Could be a faulty kernel or motherboard but it also could be an app or a setting on your phone or an unclean install. Have you always suffered this issue?
I got phone about 3 weeks ago...and the battery was very bad so i bought new one.I also tried CM 12.1 but the phone is heating in unnormal way but the battery there is better...
You have problems with motherboard. Go to service center to replace it on waranty.
Powered by CM12.1
But my phone isnt on waranty...i got it used haha....ahh nvm,i will live with that problem.thanks for help!
Bad luck then. Normal consumption for our device is 0.2 - 0.3 % per hour in stand by.
Powered by CM12.1
How long does yours battery last with some normal usage?
Almost 3 days with moderate usage.
Powered by CM12.1
Woww thats a very big difference haha.

Your best bet seeing as unless you pay for a new motherboard is to try one of the battery drain fix kernels on here. Though I think you may be limited to certain compatible ROMs.
Why are you not staying on cm 12.1? For me it's amazing, i observed at least 100% more battery efficiency than stock (4.2.2). I also observed the same problem with high temp too. But i think we can't have it all. When i play games and the outside temperature is about 35 celsius, i do not expect anything less, because this mobile is not designed for this android version. I think that's reasonable and i finally can use my mobile with a joyful way without having my mind always on the battery stats!

Thanks guys! And i will try CM 12.1 for longer time to see if anything will be better!
Hello Everyone,
I have bought a few months ago a brand new NOTE 4 from Vodafone in Romania.
The phone is awesome, i like it a lot.
I use it daily with Samsung Gear 2 and Plantronics ML20.
I talk about 30 minutes - 1h each day.
I use WiFi while home (12H) and while at work (12h) 3G + Bluetooth.
The problem is that if i take the phone from charging cable at 10 PM , by 14:00 the next day the battery is at 20%.
If i charge it all night and take it out in the morning by 5 PM i am at 20% .
I have the latest android delivered by OTA 5.1.1 .
The model is SM-N910F
What can i do guys?
I have only basic applications on it, i use Facebook + what sup maybe 1h a day total.
Should i want for Android 6 or roll back to 4.4.3 ( don't really want to jaibreak or reinstall the phone )
Any suggestions please?
Can you root phone? (Are you willing...do at your own risk)
You could use an app called betterybatterystats.
It gives you way more power over what is using juice and killing your battery. It comes with fantastic documentation. Search xda for it but you'll need root to use.
And if you can root and are willing to void your warranty then you could research custom rooms to get better battery life too. Forgive me if I insult your intelligence (you may have experience with rooting) but read read and read some more before rooting. It is pretty easy to do but one could brick their phone and that risk is yours to take.
Edit: If you don't want to root. Which after rereading I see you don't want to jailbreak search xda for debloater from gatesjr. It will suspend bloatware (apps you don't use) which may help your battery. You'll have to do some research on specific apps and their function.

If you can root your phone follow this guide . My battery life is awesome and it uses like 1 percent overnight definitely must have. http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-extreme-battery-life-t3095884
does anyone know about this process which draining huge amount of battery....
Those are apps you've already deleted. They'll go away once you fully charge.
