[REVIEW] Cruzer Lite Argyle TPU Cases

Recently picked up two different Cruzer Lite Argyle Pattern TPU cases...here's what I think:
This applies to both the Clear Argyle & Smoke Argyle Cases.
Please note, I'm NOT affiliated with the maker of these cases...just LOVE a good TPU Case!
1. It fits perfectly- nice and snug. Cutouts are just right. Easy to put on / take off. No "give" doesn't feel like it'll get loose on ya.
2. The volume buttons covered with two overlays, defining the buttons nicely. A little stiff at first, but seems to be softening a little over a few days.
3. Not overly slick. Easy to put in your pocket / remove. Seems to have enough friction to prevent dropping. Some of these TPU cases are like holding a wet fish, while your hands are covered in baby oil. This one's just fine.
4. Lightweight - doesn't add any real bulk...most TPU cases don't. Having such a slim, lightweight phone is something to show off...this doesn't detract from that.
5. Great packaging - most of these type of TPU cases just come shipped to you in a plastic baggie. This had said plastic baggie, with another layer of protection inside that...plus a cardboard cutout. (it's the little things that impress)
6. I love that the SGSII logo can be seen through the argyle pattern. This and the darker of the two cases allow for this. I like it!
7. The argyle pattern itself is sharp...I feel it adds to the classy image of this phone.
I'll say in summation, that I've had an overall pleasant experience with this TPU case...and the Owner that sent it to me. Seems like decent Customer Service in my interactions. Of course, in all honesty a TPU case doesn't offer as much protection as an OtterBox...but overall it serves it's purpose!

I like this case too. I posted a few pictures in another thread.
I didn't like how the volume rocker cover felt so I ended up using the cardboard mod that other people were using with the other TPU cases. I might consider removing that mod because I'm afraid it might damage the buttons in the long run.

I really like these as well. Looks like the smoke argyles are sold out at amazon and I cant find them on ebay. anyone know where these are in stock right now?

I love the cases, but the volume buttons are really tough. Def. need to do the piece of thick paper hack to them

I just got a clear one and a blue one from eBay. 4.99 each and free shipping. There were on my phone in 2 days. My volume buttons are easy to click. Somewhat easier than no case. It gives it more of a clicky feel. ( if that's a word?)

no worries, I was just trying to state that Cruzer Lite only selling there cases on Amazon and our own website

My case is in the mail today. Currently I have a silicone skin, these are horrible imo, difficult to put in and out of my pocket as well an eyesore. Cannot wait til this arrives!

What color did you get?

Ordered the clear argyle case, just arrived today. The case fits like a glove, the only thing is that the argyle design is scratched and faded around the corners. Maybe I'm just being finicky. But I can't really argue with the price. Leaps and bounds better than the silicon case I had, oh and it's lighter too.

The way the cases are molded sometimes small defects can be found on the corners. I am glad to hear you like the case.

Other than those minor problems, I love this case. The case seems good enough to give me peace of mind while handling my phone.

Rearth Rinke Slime Case Review

There are many hard cases on the market and most feel like hard plastic shells. This case actually feels like rubber with the stiffness of plastic. It just feels like quality. It also manages to come about 1/4 of an inch further on the bottom and top to cover more area. The cutouts around the power and volume rockers are recessed which make a world of difference when pushing the already almost flush buttons. It also give extremely good grip. I dropped my first galaxy s3 with a casemate on it and that case didn't have any bottom or top protection and my phone suffered. I posted a picture of the damage and the casemate. If it were in the rearth it would have survived without a scratch. I can't say enough how good this case feels in the hand. Its a really slick phone and it needs a grippy case.

I ordered this, the casemate barely there, the Nilkin hard case, and I bought an Affinity smoke glass hardshell from Bestbuy that I was planning to return once I got one of the cases I ordered but boy does it look nice. I might keep it. It looks gorgeous.

Is there any angle that would hit the bottom or top edge if you dropped it? like facing 45 degrees forward?

No there isn't unless it falls on a squared edge. Plus the rubbery coating gives extra protection.

if i ever buy a hardcase for my galaxy it will be this one.

Had the Slim on my SII and my Note. Absolutely loved them.
If I had a III this would be the case for me without a doubt.
It's a shame that they don't have any plans to release one for the One X.

Ordered one last night. Never used a case on my Epic 4G but that's because they were a pain to find. Looks thin enough which was my only concern. Didn't want to add on a lot of extra bulk. Thanks

I could but they wouldn't do any justice to the pics on the rearth website.

I bought one of these for my Note. For the $30 I paid for it, I expected more. Why they don't make the plastic go all the way around the bezel is beyond me. I will pass on this one for the S3.

I think it would be fragile, that the reason no cases manufacturer makes a case like this with the bottom and the top covered.

Looks nice but for me cases with volume/power cut outs just feel awkward to me. I much prefer the built in buttons

i think it's the size of the phone. large, but thin, that makes me feel like it will not take a fall very gracefully. fingers crossed until the case arrives.

Got my Ringke Slim the other day. Similar to my Galaxy Nexus one, except it doesn't protect the top and bottom and it doesn't come with a screen protector or rubber port protectors. Overall I love it though, very thin. But after receiving my ROCK case, I'll probably use that more often. If you're looking for something that will make it look like you don't have a case on it, this is it.

Olixar X-Duo, has a carbon fiber style back and a metallic bumper which looks SO good, I tried capturing it but my photo skills are kinda lacking, but this case looks great.
Got 2 tough cases, think I'll keep the UAG and give my brother the other as I quite like the front cover on the UAG though the kickstand is quite cool haha.
This Ultra-Thin case is ultra thin. Definitely not going to give protection but I love how near invisible it is.
Spigen Neo Hybrid, I really like the blue and it matches quite well with my phone I think.
FlexiShield, boring gel case is boring but <3 purple
The Alcantara Cover, have been using this since I got my phone and I loved it at first and it feels really good but... yeah doesn't look so great anymore. I'm quite sad about this, if anybody has any tips to keep it looking good please share!!
I thought I'd get this wallet case as I have a lot of key passes for work but I don't know, they're just not really my thing I guess.
Spigen Rugged Armor, I like how thin it is but apart from that it's rather boring

There is something weirdly uncomfortable about the statement "Old stains of unknown origin"

The way we (other owners and myself) clean the steering wheels/shift boots/ebrake boot/etc. in cars I've had that are made of Alcantara is to take distilled water and add a drop of dawn, then rub the alcantara down with that lightly with a terry rag, then use a soft toothbrush to brush it back to being "fluffy" or "full" looking and then let it dry overnight.

I'm looking for the thinnest clear case possible, how is the fit on the Olixar? Are the sides tight, or all loose and floppy?

It's really good actually, I was a bit worried about that myself cause I've had many cheap Amazon cases that are made of flimsy gel material but this one fits great. It's never going to give you much protection apart from superficial scuffs etc. but that's exactly what I want from it and the fit is good so no dirt getting in

Finally an Ultra Thin Case I love - Elago

So, I was looking for a new skin on my phone when I realized that I didn't want to do a wrap. If you're like me, you'll spend $10 and then remove the skin in like a week. After that you'll have to buy another one if you want to go through the process again. I'm not 100% into cases because of bulk and this is a damn sexy phone.
I scoured a few different places looking for a white thin case when I came across this: ELAGO THIN CASE
Here are my pros:
Fit is perfect
Cut outs are exact
This actually feels like it could be part of the phone
Has a Matte White look
Not TPU, its a hard plastic
Lots of compliments just in one day
Cons (Keep in mind, these are things people may not like but doesn't bother me)
Phone is still a little slippery
Buttons are now a bit more flush with the case
Zero lip over the glass to put upside down
The cut outs are exact so accessories are about 1mm from being perfect
I'm going back for the other two colors. This is an awesome case. Does anyone else have any ultra thin cases they can recommend.

It is kinda high, no promo that I'm aware of. This is more of a harder case then tpu, that's what I like about it.. kinda snaps on

Really? That's a bummer. Mine fits perfect and has no movement. I don't have any sort of skin. I wonder if that's throwing off the fit.

Nope. User a screen protector.. Cases with lips exist. This is for absolute minimalists.

Just went to the mailbox to get the Elago case I ordered after seeing this thread. I'm coming from the Spigen Slim case and, even by comparison, the Elago is ridiculously thin! I love it, but it definitely needs to be paired with a screen protector in order to keep the phone somewhat safe.

It is probably not nearly as thin as that case, but I usually buy Ringke Fusion cases for every phone I get. I love the way it adds the extra tactile feel to the buttons, and has saved me from many drops even on asphalt and hard concrete. I'm not sure how it is on the S8+ yet as my S8+ is not here yet. but I've used Ringke Fusion cases on OP3T, Nexus 6P, Nexus 6, Xperia Z3, and I have loved it on every phone.

Not even close.

Just a heads up. The Elago scratches and scuffs pretty easily. Not that I expected much from such an inexpensive case but, I've been babying my black Elago and, within 24 hours it already has 4 or 5 long scuff marks across the back. Not a big deal, just thought I'd mention. It would've been nice if they had used the same type of rubberized finish found on the Spigen and Ringke slim cases.

Lack of name leading brand cases?!

I have yet to see Incipio, speck, tech21 or any other leading brand case available. It seems they've all decided not to make cases.
I have a ringke air and a vrs case, but I'd like to get a speck. Guess that ain't gonna happen!?

I got the Spigen Neo Hybrid and I really like it... Slim TPU, extra protection on the edges and has a good feel... I know that OtterBox and UAG have also cases for the G7 but I wanted to try this one and I have no complaints...

I just got the tech21 Evo tactical. It's actually a really nice case. Smooth feeling with tactic buttons. The case is actually a really dark black. The pictures make it look dark gray, but it's not. I will use this case for now until the speck one I found online arrives Friday. I'll keep this either way and prolly switch back and forth. This case is fully acceptable tough and will disregard fingerprints no doubt.

They're my favorite. But I like the tech21 also.

The speck delivers today. Was originally Saturday. I will post pics to both soon side by side.
