1+3 Internet Tethering Stopped Working [HELP] - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

I recently flashed FreedomOS succesfully. Everything is working great so far but I've found a large flaw for me. My internet tethering stopped working. I can still tether using bluetooth but its slower than typical tethering. Does anyone have any solution to fix this? Thank you beforehand.

[Q] Wireless Tethering and Factory Reset

I had a couple of questions. First off, I'm running 2.2 and I'm rooted so I was wondering if I did a factory reset on my phone would I need to re-root the device? As for the second question, I'm trying to figure out why I can't get Barnacle WiFi Tether or Wireless Tethering for Root Users to work with my Inc, I've searched several forums and people say it's 2.2, they say it works fine, they say make sure you don't have WEP enabled, but strangely the D2 that I own works just fine with Barnacle. Any advice from anyone who's gotten these apps to work? I messed around with the duns to try the 3G Mobile Hotspot, and decided I liked the others better because they say how much data I've been using so I (think) I changed them back properly. Thanks in advance, and sorry for the wall of text!

[Q] CM 7.0.3.1 4g tethering

I have been having issues with the wifi tethering on 4g, I don't seem to get the same speed that my phone is displaying, it's usually about 1.5-2.0mb slower on the tethered device(mainly iPad). A good amount of time the 4g doesn't really work on tether and turns off to go to 3G. is there something I'm missing?
have you tried this?

Thanks for the reply. I did try that method and still not working. The Internet is running very slow or not at all on the tethered device. On the phone though seems to be working fine.

Cm7 wireless tether has to run twice to work?

Seems since upgrading to cm7, I hafta run wireless tether twice to get it to work...the first time I run it I get the limited or no connectivity on XP, but if I stop then restart tethering it works fine from there.
Has anyone else seen this and if so is there a way to fix it?
same problem here. never works the first time, always works the second time.
but the built in tether app never works and i would like a fix for that as well so i can access it from the toggle menu.
Built in tether app seems to work for me, but I prefer wireless tether for the data counter and access control...
Anyone ever figure this out? I saw a few ppl mention it in the nightlies discussion but didn't see a solution...

[Q] Help - Portable Wifi Hotspot not working!

My wife's just got a tablet so wants to get it connected via her Wildfire.
We tried turning it on last night but it's not working properly - the hotspot functionality itself seems be enabled properly, but in Wireless and Networks, the text under the 'Mobile network' option keeps cycling between 'Connected' and 'Use phone for data connection...'.
The text 'Wi-Fi hotspot active' keeps appearing and disappearing from the notification area.
We appear to be able to successfully connect the tablet via wifi to the Wildfire but there's no internet access.
The handset is completely stock and unbranded (Froyo, build 2.22.405.1). Internet access in general is fine and my wife's data plan specifically allows tethering (GiffGaff UK, using a Gigabag).
Has anyone else encountered this issue and found a way around this? Am willing to start rooting and flashing other ROMs if it will solve the problem.
for tethering try the Barnacle wifi tethter app from market - works for me
I'll give that a try when I get home and report back here.
Have you ever tried it using the in-built functionality and either found it to work or not? Considering I've not had problems with my own handsets (previously a Desire, now a Sensation) it seems odd that I can't get it to work on my wife's Wildfire.
I used the built in one on stock rom with no problems at all on 2 wildfires, I used to use all mine then leech from the girlfriends. Could it be a problem with her apn setting? Maybe call customer service and check its set correctly for tethering.
Personally I'd tell her its broke though and flash it like I did the girlfriends purely because I'm a flashaholic!!
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using xda premium
Just in case anyone was wondering (or for the benefit of future searchers)... I finally got the Hotspot working after I installed a custom ROM (DK Custom Froyo v4.7 - I didn't want anything too different to Stock).
Custom kernels etc. didn't work (in fact, the one I tried destabilised the handset), neither did other options such as Barnacle on the stock ROM.
Thanks everyone for trying.

Blue screen on laptops (Driver_IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal) when enabling wifi tethering

Dear all,
I got my new Xperia ZL I love it sooo much. Only one issue: yesterday I used all day the wifi tethering capability, I did not download much, mainly browsing and emailing all day. It worked great!!! However today I updated the software, since I got a notification saying that the new sotware was available. I downloaded it and it installed itself in 24 minutes. Everything still works well except wifi tethering. Anytime I enable tethering, any computer connecting to it after a few seconds gets a blue screen with Driver_IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal (I tried 3 different computers). Does anybody experience the same problem? Any hint?
thanks
Alberto
For those interested, after trying everything I solved activating FIPS http://communities.intel.com/thread/33490
