you probably need MTCDtools which is created by a guy here on XDA

I want to use my in-ear sony earphones with my Desire for running. Now they don't have a mic or remote built into them, so I need a music player app that supports hardware controls for Next song, Play/Pause etc.
Could anyone suggest any good one?
Thanks guys!
Music mod has long press vol buttons as last/next song skip.
Sent from my HTC Desire
That's helpful, thanks!
Would some app allow the usage of the front buttons too?

Is there also a link for this?
It's the "feature" I really miss. It's veeeery annoying to wake and skip song.
Its on the market Im sure one will eventually, but if youre on vanilla roms, I think you can play/pause witg the trackpad? Not sure about that though.

Doesn't work for me. There is only "Skip with trackball" but this doesn't work. Maybe because I also wake my phone with the trackball. I need the controls with volumebuttons :S
You mean this one, right?

Not really, no...
I have modded my arc to the starter player and added the beats sound to it, my question though is whether there is an available mod so that you can change tracks with the handsfree button? Something similar to power amp perhaps?

Hi, I need some help with an issue I've been suffering for a while.
My phone: Sony Xperia S, unlocked bootloader. ROM: Trinity Vengeance RaptorXL V3.4 T-Core Kernel.
The problem appears with the original Sony ROM and every 4.1 ROM Based on the original ROM that has walkman app.
I can stream music with my phone to the car radio (A2DP) using walkman app. No problem (except the bad sound quality that app has)
Well, When I try to stream from another app (like poweramp) it doesn't work. The player is working a playing music but nothing sounds and the LCD of the stereo shows "Searching.."
The only way to make it work is:
While Power amp is playing music I start walkman app and push play, I listen to music from wakman app on the car and poweramp pauses, then I pause walkman app, music stops, and LCD of the stereo shows "BT Pause". Then I push play on poweramp and music is playing on the car, and LCD still shows "BT Pause".
I think something is wrong with Walkman app and how sony use de android API.
This problem is solved when I use 4.2 custom ROMS, but camera driver doesn't work very well.
Thanks in advance and sorry for my broken english.
The subject pretty much says it all, but here is a little more info just in case. I was hoping to replace my HTPC box with an OUYA with XBMC, I run XBMC on the HTPC with no issues, including streaming/recording live TV via the tv tuner. I really am very happy with the OUYA, but one issue remains unsolved, MPEG2 hardware decoding/rendering. The MPEG2 streams coming from the tv tuner box just are too much for software decoding/rendering on the OUYA and result in jumpy choppy video playback.
Can anyone comment as to if the device is able to do hardware decoding/rendering of MPEG2? I know they recently neutered XBMC when it comes to AC3 and DTS, so I wonder if this is a similar issue. I am using the previous build still that does allow AC3/DTS decoding.
Thanks for any light that can be shone on this missing link.
Did you try other media players such as vlc, mxplayer, etc.?

Are you referring to on the OUYA? If so, I tried the VLC version on the OUYA, and it does not play the stream at all. I will see if I can get another version of VLC and sideload it to see if that changes anything.
There is a XBMC bulid that will allow you to set MX player as the default player. I can not remember which on it is but search xbmc.org and you will find it.
