Today Samsung requested all the Samsung Note 7 Owners to Switch off their phone and stop using it.
I have a Note 7 Hongkong version SM-N9300, Which has a Green Battery and the Faulty Tests shows that my phone is NOT among the Affected ones.
My Question is "IS IT SAFE TO USE MY PHONE NOW?

As far as I know the actual recall is currently in the US only (Not Australia, according to Samsung. I asked them) however I'd guess it's going to be worldwide very soon. And this includes all the replacement ones that were deemed "safe".
So, your Note 7 will /probably/ be recalled soon enough. Nobody can tell if your phone is safe though. Impossible to know.

All would include you but it's your choice.

Samsung Hong Kong just announced earlier for all people with HK Note 7s to stop using and return the phone. To be honest, the potential battery problem ALWAYS included China and HK phones, Samsung's HK and China divisions were just shady as hell and kept selling on September 2 when Samsung headquarters first announced they made a huge mistake. Samsung HK has been getting killed online by people for weeks for seemingly apathy. I'm surprised they acted so soon this time to echo what the rest of the world is doing.
so long story short, no, your HK note is included in the call for return. All note 7s are. the phone is done.
Well my Note 7 is perfectly fine. The battery and everything is perfectly fine. NO HEAT ISSUE. i am trying to contact the person who sold it to me to check what the supplier stand on this.
Anyways thanks everyone.
I just wonder the problem is not the battery but rather the processor.
The one in China are not exynos which produce more heat
The Recall is GLOBAL, as in INTERNATIONAL. NO SAMSUNG NOTE 7 IS SAFE! RETURN IT!
Seems to me this forum is frequented by Samsung-haters and/or trolls.

The Galaxy Nexus is now available in Samsung stores in India for Rs 25,990. It comes with 4.1 onboard
This is for the 16GB GSM edition.
Samsung was supposed to launch this phone in India earlier this year but they delayed it several times before canceling it altogether. We assume that they wanted the consumers to buy their Galaxy S III smartphone instead.
Samsung Galaxy S III however is too pricey for a lot of people. Samsung does not have any new model in the 25-30K market. Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note are old models. This fits into this segment of the market perfectly.
If you are indeed looking for an Android smartphone for around Rs. 25000, this is the best device you can buy. It is a dual core phone officially supported by Google and we hear it is being shipped with Jelly Bean edition of Android!
Great!!
So we will get warranty which we bought from eBay

Umm, no. It is NOT officially launched. They are selling it in Samsung Stores unofficially without warranty (well, software-only warranty which means no warranty),

Are you for real? I called a couple of Samsung Stores and asked about the launch news today. One said next month and rest all said no idea.
Kindly confirm this please? I'm on the verge of buying one without the bill from a non-Samsung store.

While trying to sort thru IQ Sheild screen protectors and the lack of information regarding "Case Friendly", "EZ Install" and "Updated" and what doesn't appear on the boxes I now see on their website a "Version 2". At first I thought they were referring to the version of the protector but noticed the Note 7 pictured is different. It appears to have 2 additional lens just to the left of the speaker. I then saw the same phone on the Skinomi website, also called a Version 2.
http://www.skinomi.com/sk25906-samsung-galaxy-note-7-edge-phone-screen-protector.html
Anyone have a clue what this is about?
looks like a fake Note7

That's funny!
Looks like a 3D Camera if you ask me. I'll buy the Note 7.2 NOW then, where do I get mine?
Is this a CON, troll? 'ay?
Clearly Version 2 is either refurbished Note 7 with no battery defect or a brand new Note 7 with 6GB ram.

What does it say about these two companies (IQ Shield and Skinomi) advertising bogus devices?
Maybe its a cheap knock off of the Note and they made a screen protector for it cause its popular in some markets?

But they should say so. Don't call it a Version 2 of the genuine product. Very shady.
Costco states right now they are selling (version 2)... and i also ask what is version 2, that how i found this site. I dont believe Costco is scamming people.
the phone in the photo is a fake note 7, period.
look for " note 7 clone" in you tube, ther you will see, by the way, there is no 6GB ram version as rumored, v2 refers unnoficially to the safe note 7

Does it look like this? Or is just a case of a seller renaming a product?
Please can a mod sticky this - please record any issues with recall exchanged devices ONLY. Thanks
Start message with BOOTLOOP or OTHER ISSUE.
It will be interesting to see whether the bootloop issue goes away with exchanges.
I'm only getting my exchanged unit this Sunday. I've been without my Note 7 for four days now, after bootloops bricked my phone. So it bricks before my battery exploded.
I'm keeping a very close eye on this thread.

I'm suspecting other issues may be present...I really hope not though. The damage that would do to Samsung...
Bad performance could be related to battery problems. I own N7 exynox and had no problem with the device. Now I'm waiting for the replace phone.

I think all those problems are battery related
Scheduled for an exchange on the morning of 17 Sep. Hopefully I'll have nothing to report here. Fingers crossed.
Well the first problem I've found...

Some people have suggested plugging it into smart switch via pc or mac and running an initialisation and firmware recovery. Saw someone suggest it could be some battery testing software that Samsung have used before shipping and not taken back off. So a reinstallation should sort it. I can't verify personally as I'm STILL awaiting a replacement device but there's a few people with your issue it seems
Trying it now thanks

I'm looking to replace the battery in mine and I see a bunch of options on eBay that look like OEM but probably aren't. Hoping someone has a vendor recommendation
I ordered a cheap one from EBAY out of Ireland (NL myself). It should come in today. It's probably not OEM (they look like it).
I'll compare it to the old one once I have it and open my tab up.

They're the same, if you want to make sure, check the part number , like EB-BT705FBC, on your original battery. Then buy the one has matched part number and Samsung logo.
The tab S 8.4 has different models but using the same battery. Like Tab Pro 12.2, Note Pro 12.2 Wif and LTE, they are different 12.2 inches tablets, but they use the same battery and other parts.
I just installed my battery. It was 14 euro's from Ireland. I expected it to be a knockoff but it was an exact match to my old one, down to the part number. The only difference was the manufacturing date, with the old one in 2014 and the new one from Ireland manufactured in 2016, november - only two months ago!
It was a few mm smaller, which shows how much batteries swell over the years. The old one was a pain to remove as it was really cramped in the housing.
Photo for comparison, new one on the right and old on the left.

I've replaced battery in my T700 with this one:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100...32466260763.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.0.HVMxr6
I can confirm it is original and it's working fine for more than 6 monts now. Still holding excellent, in fact much better than the original one. But that's mostly cos i changed my usage scenarios

I've been told by my network in a supported country they're still waiting on Google to add it to the compatible device list until I'll see 5G
BTW I've just had a reply from one of their 'experts' you know volunteers that don't have much of a life thus spend the day there giving people false information, this one has just told me the UK isn't a supported location
I think I'm going to be selling this soon now I can't be doing with much more of this

Yep this is how Google is treating people as a whole, not just the UK and Europe
Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are not yet 'fully certified' to use Verizon's faster C-Band 5G
While the hardware is compatible, Verizon says the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro aren't quite ready for C-Band 5G, lacking "full certification."
