Anyone know how to fix this? I've been looking for days, cannot find a way to actually stop it, right now it's the only thing keeping my phone awake.
It's driving me crazy!

What browser app are you using???
It is safe to temper this wakelock with Amplify. Therefor, you have to install Xposed. Easy to do and works great for me

I've turned it off now with wakelock blocker in RR, however, googleplay services stayed awake for 4 hours last night even though its set not to, I used to lose 1% at night now 4-6%
I really don't get it.

Have you tried DisableService? Very usefull app, you can find it in the PlayStore for free. It simply does what it says, disables services like some of Google Services which keeps your phone awake.

I haven't, that is a last resort I guess.
But they don't seem to stay disabled anyway; it's weird. They are all disabled in RR, etc Privacy Guard, but it isn't working.
Is there any explanation to how a month ago everything was fine, nothings changed, and now it's not fine?

I've tried clearing cache, data, etc of Google play services AND google store. Re-flashed (Clean) entirely my phone, also internal storage.
I get lots of wakelocks on CM ROMs but with OOS 3.2.7 they are gone..
1h47min awake with almost two days of standby.

This is taken now..it is a new cycle, not the same as before.
Basically I really like CM but things like this and a few other issues are keeping me away from it. Flashed OOS three days ago and battery life and those tiny bugs that CM has are gone.

I managed to resolve this issue by wiping cache/dalvik then wiping data for Google Play Services from the android app settings.

Wiping cache/dalvik in twrp? and then google play services in settings > apps?
There is no wipe data in there, just cache (on google play services)
Yes wipe cache and dalvik from twrp
Settings/apps/Google play services/storage/manage space/clear all data

Fair enough, let me know if it works for you.
It was a PITA to troubleshoot the issue, I tried removing my Google account, wiping data for play store/Google now, disabling Google Now, disabling location services and after each change reboot and monitor for an hour. The fix I posted was the only thing that made a difference.

I am monitoring my battery through BetterBatteryStatus. I see that the PowerManagerService kernel wakelock is keeping my phone from going to sleep. It keeps the phone on for nearly 120 mins in a day. Any idea of what that could be? I suspect that it is due to the Smart Stay feature of Galaxy S3 and I just disabled it now.
I'm getting this on CM 10.1, so no power stay. Wondering what it is too though.
PowerManagerService is basically a catch-all for partial wakelocks (wakelocks requested by non system apps). To see which apps are actually requesting the wakelocks, go to the Partial Wakelocks screen.

Use Better Battery Stats. instead of looking at the Kernel Wakelocks, switch it to partial wakelocks, and if I understand correctly, the sum of the partial wakelocks is effectively the powermanagementservice wakelock
Just wanted to say that i too had a lot of partial wakelocks draining battery on my SGS3 CM11 (using ART) but I've managed to solve the problem via cleaning the cache in settings->storage. Have you seen any benefits by switching to ART?
If I clean the cache, what will it delete? Will I lose all my App settings and game levels? I have about 54Mb in there.

Is this normal? How can I find out which app is causing the problem?
I have a Samsung galaxy note 2 and every time I lock lock my phone it suddenly turns right back on. It's been happening for two days now. I've tried factory reset and hard reset.. nothing seems to work. Looked at several forums but none seem to help either. Use wake lock app and it says this ..see attachment
Same here with various audio partial wakelocks that add up to 12 days of kernel wakelocks. This started when I upgraded to:
gapps-kk-20140606 & cm-11-20140611-snapshot-m7-snapshot kernel 3.0101-cyanogenmod-g329d6a1 build03 #1
I have gmail sync disabled but contacts sync on. I notice CM have added apollo to the lockscreen so this could be a bug I need to search for

Ever since I rooted my note 4 all it does is lag. My note 3 runs way smoother! I'm not sure why this phone lags all I did was install a couple of xposed modules and that's it.
Any help?

I just tried this fix and nothing really changed but now I am unable to restore S Health data.
It fixed it mostly.
Yeah. I can't seem to sync s health data after completing the steps from that post.
Not sure what you mean by syncing s-health, just make sure you clear data, and start fresh. I did this fix 4 days ago, and my steps are there for the past 4 days. Everything is still running smooth still also.

I tried to clear cache/data from both health service and s health and it still shows the same error.
I tried to remove and add back my Samsung account and that didn't work either.
I tried this on 3g and lte but I haven't tried on wifi although I dont think being on wifi should matter.
I did not know that back up/restore existed, so I can not answer that one. Does everything else work on s-health? Can you just start fresh and not use your back up, or is s-health not working at all?

Didn't work for me. I had to turn off Xposed for now
Double check the security file in the build.prop, maybe you changed the wrong one? I remember several files with security in the name. I am not comfortable messing with those files, so I checked and re-checked for that reason. Also, make sure you follow the order when clearing data, and and re-installing xposed. You only have to uninstall the installer framework, not the app completely, and wanam xposed does not get touched. Hope it helps!
OK I fixed my issue. I went to the s health app. I went to the main screen from the left side pull out menu. Then selected my name, then clicked on my Samsung account at the bottom and selected erase data and reset. Hopefully this will help someone else.
For people with lag after xposed, a person at s4gru said that they installed wanam and checked the circle battery checkbox and it lagged badly. He unchecked that and the lag went away even with xposed and wanam installed. I have not rooted my phone yet to see about lag but will eventually.

yeah, that would be me.
In my case, after rooting the Note 4 and installing my root apps everything was fine until I installed Wanam and checked on the circle battery setting to on. Then it lagged, especially when I click on the drawer icon. It would slowly go up like a snail. After unchecking the circle battery and re-installing Wanam, the lag stopped and its as speedy as day one. Now why the circle battery would make my Note lag when choosing the app drawer is a mystery.

I will have to try this! And my only guess is the different image files the note 4 uses and wanam is probably trying to change it to the circle battery but it just keeps conflicting together.
I have circle battery enabled through Wanam and I don't lag.
What I can't stand is the typing lag. I notice it mostly in Google hangouts and in some other apps. I've tried different keyboards and still the lag is present. I've notice this on my Note 3 as well only when I'm on a touch wiz rom. Anyone know how tor get rid of this typing log?
@DarkManX4lf Same thing here, only lag im getting is when using hangouts. Other then that no lag to be found what so ever.
I just tried hangouts and no lag.
ok, so I went back into Wanam and checked on battery circle and rebooted to see if I can reproduce the previous lag issue I had.
Result: no lag.
This is really odd.
I am currently running Marshmallow build N920AUCU2BPE5 and my biggest battery drain is Android System diagnostics.client.wakelock.

Still having issues with the particular Wakelock, ever tried ODIN flash back to Lollipop, Factory Reset/Delete Cache and then upgraded back to Mashmallow (Didn't do a Factory Rest or Delete Cache the first time I upgraded).
I created a new how to post here to show detailed process stats. Maybe someone else is having a similar issue and will have some idea on how to fix it.
What little information I have been able to dig up about 'diagnostics.client.wakelock' it appears to be a CarrierIQ issue. Which just really adds salt to the wound.

I usually opt out as well.
I went into GSam, under App Usage, selected Android System. Then Manage, DiagMonAgent and force stopped it, and wakelocks have decreased dramatically for me (I also force stopped tuiService). Before it was being held awake about 90% of the time. I did this about 19 hrs ago, and it's only showing about 1 hr of wakelock. Of course, would have to do this after every reboot, if not more frequently.
I see both DiagMonAgent and tuiService in Disabler pro - can't you just disable them there? I'll try this and see if I notice any differences.
I have tried everything. It gets under control for maybe a half day then goes off again.

Sorry you're still having this problem. Only one other person (in this thread) seems to have reported having it too.
Does the problem occur after a factory reset even before you install any third-party apps?

Yep, appears before any 3rd party apps are installed. Tried several Factory Resets nothing seems to work.
I'm pretty sure the "diagandroid.iqd" process (Carrier IQ) is causing this. You can see it if you go into "Running services" then tap on "Android System". I haven't found any way to disable it.
By the way, regarding my previous wakelock problem cause by the CVS app: the app is now updated and no longer prevents the phone from deep-sleeping even when the app's in-store (BT-beacon) notifications are enabled.

Okay:
I have narrowed down my wakelock issue a fair bit. The only ROM (my favourite rom that I actually want to use, lol)
Resurrection Remix wakelocks - the ones I get are below:

Google Play Services *alarm* and "Icing"
Gmail "Icing"
And any apps open even Facebook, Instagram, Google maps - they all just stay awake.

Google Play Store and Google Play Services are being held awake under Settings > Battery as can be seen when I press on them, they're awake for hours.
I've tried turning them off in Privacy Guard
Now; I've tried BJRR, RR official, RR Sultan-ized, Old Naman RR build
All of these USED to work, then out of nowhere they've done this wakelock stuff. Also, I've used gapps packages old and new, pico.
I've tried the exact RR build I had before and gapps package and this was how it used to be:
Now; it's always 0.6-1.2% and I have no idea what has changed to cause such issue.. I've tried the wakelock blocker in RR too.
If someone can fix this issue; without me having to dowloand apps, and so on (I mean,. it worked before, so why should I need to download apps/change things?) I will send you money. Seriously, cos this is driving me nuts
No help you evil lads.
Still trying.
I've noticed in Settings > Battery
And then the list of usage.
GMAIL, Google Play Store, Cyanogen System/Android System, Google Play Services
All "Held Awake" for hours.
Why? and what can I do
Still nothing.
tried again today, same thing.
Android system stays awake when asleep.
*alarm* (com.android.vending.Google Play Store)
also that, and every app stays awake when sleeping for like 20-30% of the time, and if i go to bed for 7 hours, they are awake like 4 hours it says.
One last try before I go to bed?! lol.

I have had the *alarm* wakelock in numbers > 1000 within 3-4 hours on OOS. I found a reddit post which said that these were like placeholders for blocked wakelocks and alarms.
Now I have removed amplify completely and I get 0.5-0.6% idle drain on OOS lite with Greenify only. Ironically with amplify, the drain was about 1% per hour

Well you can try to flash GApps again but best would be a clean install.
Hi Guys,

Att. some picture where you can see it. I have a SOT of a little bit of 1 h and have already used 43% of the battery. Something is using my power a lot. I already gave it a try, more than one reboot of the system, but still android system is at the top of the list! Overall my SOT is ridiculous.
No idea what could effect that, when i read that some user has a SOT of around 9h i'm really sad and sure that something is wrong.

I'm not sure what app is causing the issue. I get 9 hours SOT on the EU weekly for 2+ months now. I'd probably get the same results using any version of miui. I use the same apps on all my phone's and always get great battery life.

What versión of TWRP are you using?
I own a Mix 3, DO NOT factory reset. Simply go to Apps, Google Play Service, clear Cache & Data. This will solve the issue. We had a discussion on MIUI forum
I'm having this problem now too since the March update.

Yes I am actually, Nova launcher. Hm. It doesn't show as being a heavy user in the battery section though, did yours?
Not showing nova, but Android services using more then it should.. Had more then 30 %of android service usage and after switching back to miui launcher, have about 10 % max
In my case cleaning google services cache didnt solve the problem. I didnt do factory reset becouse i did it few days ago whe I bought used mix .
What I did was downloading last fw update package from phone settings and updated which means I flashed same rom I had on my mix.
Before CPU usage 100% all the time, now looks much better (see pictures)
There is a bug in the beta builds of MIUI if you are using one of those that causes ALL apps to get autostart permissions. This leads to severe battery drain. Simply going down the list and stripping most of the apps of the autostart permission fixes the problem. This has been reported as a bug to Xiaomi. I also submitted logs and bug report as I found the cause (I think) of the Verizon MMS issues.

You're right, beta builds for this device are a complete mess regarding battery consumption. Even with autostart option turned off I still have severe battery drain from "google play services".
