Hi,
I want to know if i have mi 5s, chinese rom can i install play store and have OTA updates at the same time. I really need to know this for xiaomi fones.
I am using mi 5s in China with chinese rom. I can install play store and play games(because I want to play Boom Beach with my google account).
I can get ota from xiaomi and play store.
Thanx for reply, one more thing does changing language to english completely changes to english or chinese language is still there, meaning is it perfectly usable after changing to english language ?

I am not sure what do you mean completely English.
I tried to change the language from Chinese to English, all the system applications and settings are changed to English.
There are some applications I installed myself still in Chinese name on screen. Maybe because I am using Chinese version.
Thanx again, yes this is waht i meant to ask. If i change language to english the fone is perfectly usable. I hope answer is yes. Because in my last chinese fone mylti language rom was very unstable thats why now if i buy chinese fone i want a stable rom with OTA updates.
Google mi5 play installer v2, that worked for my mi5s. No issues. No FC's or anything.
you can install google installer from mi store -> search google -> search by baidu

Yes, I live in china and i bought it. I installed google play on it from the xiaomi app store. just search for the google installer and install it, then use vpn to connect to google and you're good to go. It's an amazing phone. i like it.

Where do you find this? I installed Google services from an .apk as I get no results in the Mi App Store, and that didn't work for me at all. Got access, logged in, but couldn't download apps at all...

you should find this software: 安装谷歌 (in english, it means google installer). install this one and then press the red button and you're good to go!

It is china stable....you must grant all permissions for the google play services and store

In the settings go to all apps....find gplay services and gplay store and give him all the permissions they want

But you can install miflash on your pc....then download the official global miui dev rom from miui official site and flash that to your phone with mi flash....and you have the google play officially

i did all the things u said i gave him all permission but it only shows checking info but doesnot shows any other

You will need Google Now Launcher which available on play store, but if you still use stock fw, you can't install it though,..
But, if you insist to install, try flashing GAPPS via CWM here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942

n dont forget to update google search app.. and change the language in the Google now setting to... English (uk) or english (us)...

I was able to install this ROM. But even setting the language and the country there are still many things in Chinese and I could not use them correctly.

Accidently flashed a wrong verson of ROM and hardbricked my Xiaomi Mi max and not reagateing to anything only when I connect to PC Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostic Port and cannot install a new driver to Qloader ...Any idea to fix it?

No, you can't delete it its linked with launcher (Google) & bunch of other stuff.
In the future when you want someone to help you provide basic information along with description how you got there.

Okay I get those informations on the mind.
It's basically linked to the good part of standard Gapps among them most noticeable to the launcher 3 where you can't remove search bar. Don't you think some smart ass before you had a similar idea? Well guess what it's present in micro & pico Gapps packages so you can't remove it as they certainly would if that whose possible. You can not activate it & not use it.

Think actually you didn't understand. Only way to get rid of it is to entirely stop using Google apps.

Yes, it works. You just need to be on a 64bits rom, install magisk, and install magisk module called "Arcore/playground Patcher" and guala!
Now I'm able to take pictures on AR+ in Pokemon go.

You might have bootloader unlocked. They stopped supporting after you unlock it. Use apkmirror and install it from Apk.

I'm unlocked, but not rooted. That's probably why. I'm not protected in my play store status. I installed via apk mirror.
I have it and haven't had any issues with it working. I'm rooted with an unlocked bootloader and Magisk.
Hide the Play store in Magisk Hide, and then clear cache and data from the Play Store. Relaunch Play, and your device should show as certified. Netflix will then be available and/or take updates. I have had to do it on four devices, and had to do it over on both Pixel 3s after the December update.
