Can anyone tell me hot can I downgrade my m5 from MM to Lollipop in very easiest way ? Please help
use Flashtool
Thank you for your reply bro but I could use flashtool if I knew how to use it and how can I get lollipop for m5 again ? Can you help me for this ? for ex I found a ftf file , it says android 5.1 , Should I download it and install it by using flashtool ? Thats what you mean? Do I need nothing else ?
Strange...but I found mm smoother. Anyway.. flash tool is your only help
Google and read up...download LP is only available.. eg Singapore customised is still LP rom...
MM is great bro absolutly but , when I upgraded to MM from Lollipop, my front camera now really taking blurry pictures... I think thats because of MM because before updating to MM , it was a perfect front camera, but now... it takes really blurry images thats why I am trying to downgrade thank you for your reply so much

Really? Hmm.. I will check. Could be a bug and I suggest you do a clean install for mm to test again.
Anyway do a clean install also if u want to go back to lp.
by saying clean install ? I used Xperia companion to update my M5. I tried ''Restore'' part also but nothing has changed bro. Now I am looking to downgrade back to Lollipop but I really do not know how to do it.

is current xperia z1c lollipop still have memory leak issue ?
I used lollipop for 2 days already. and it always restart my game (minimized to background) after I open browser to use google (yeah only 2 recent apps displayed. chrome and game apps).
I hate this because my game need long time and heavy bandwidth at loading screen. I never get this problem when I used kitkat. I heard there's xposed module to fix this memory leak issue but my phone isnt rooted.
or is there a way to return to default OS (kitkat) like when I first bought it ? maybe I'll do this way. reset it to kitkat again. but I dont know how.
thanks.
You can flash stock kitkat with flashtool. I should have stock EU . 157 rom somewhere on my pc and can upload it if you want.
Flashing stock rom is pretty easy. Watch a tutorial or something. I can help you a bit more when back home.
Back to your question. I have no idea I'm still running kitkat as L is still not available in my country.

is it working to use your stock rom at my country ? I thought different country have different kind of rom. not sure about this if this is true or not.
flashing stock rom doesnt need root access, right ? and maybe can I also backup current lollipop OS that I have so I can reflash it when it has been fixed ?.
so far what I like from lollipop is when someone call me, I can still use other app because call notification only use small box on top of my current running app. I like this feature very much.
It depends where do you live. If in EU it should be fine. If not I can find a rom good for your location.
No, flashing custom rom does not require rooted device.
I think you don't have to do the backup as you'll be able to just update it again ( at least I think so)

Yes. But you dont have to backup the OS. You can download the Firmware using the XperiaFirm Tool >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...xperifirm-xperia-firmware-downloader-t2834142
And here is how to convert the files >> http://www.xperiablog.net/2014/08/1...re-files-using-xperifirm-and-flashtool-guide/

wow this is nice info. I've just tried using that xperiafirm tool and it shows my country firmware.
Generally you can root your phone without unlocking bootloader. It worked for me, at least on kitkat. I'm not sure what about the Lollipop though.
You should better ask someone else too as I'm not as experienced and don't want to give you false info.
But if there's pre-rooted rom here and it's working for android L you don't have to unlock bootloader to flash it.

btw, if u wish to stay in KK (since xposed in LP wont work perfectly, seen people commenting on that) there is an easy method to root..

okay I can get lollipop with root+xposed (all day tried this. I read some tutorial how to do it properly because this is my 1st time doing something like this. so tired ). although I dont know if xposed wont work perfectly like you said because I only use 3 modules so far. App Settings (keep screen on for game I'm playing) and Fix Lollipop Memory Leak and gravitybox (LP).
what I've done :
- downloaded kitkat 14.4.A.0.157 from XperiFirm. and flashed it using flashtool.
- I've realized .0157 can't be rooted for now. so I've used your link that you gave (Root FW 14.4.A.0.157 (LB/UBL) ).
- after get root access, then I installed recovery using Z1C-lockeddualrecovery2.8.11-RELEASE.installer.zip from http://nut.xperia-files.com/
- after that I flashed 14.5.A.0.242_CustomizedFR_Pre-Rooted_Dualrecovery 2.8.10 + Fix Xposed for Lollipop using recovery.
- and flashed Massive debloating and Xposed. links and procedure are also from that pre-rooted rom thread.
so far, no bootloop. dont know if I add some xposed modules again. I heard it will get bootloop if too many xposed modules is installed (?)

Xposed worked perfectly in KK. I tried more than five modules at a time without the bootloop issue. What I fear is the LP. Havent you checked the dev/Q&A thread of the modules?

I dont know that. But I heard that activating some module(s) when some other module(s) is(are) active may cause bootloop in KK.
Hey there, the XperiFirm dev here.
No one answered your question so I will. The answer is: No.
Sony made sure to include the memory leak fix built in (the exact fix that the Xposed module offers) for their Lollipop releases. The Xposed module is pointless.
See attached screenshot. Basically the Xposed module replaces the AOSP function with exactly the same function but with this additional "release()" line. As you can see, Xperia already has this line included.

wow thanks to coming here :victory:
lol. so it's pointless to install that module because they are same thing exactly. time to uninstall.
actually my game is still restarted after I browsing a little. although I still see a lot of free memory in here. before, I thought this is because of that memory leak issue but I'm wrong.
if only there's module that can prevent lollipop refresh/restart/clear my game at memory when I minimized it at background.
I have the same problem, only with audio apps in the background. Pocket Casts, Stitcher and BeyondPod all crash and stop playing when running in the background, after I do something else like load the game Threes. This never used to happen with KitKat. I've also noticed that iplayer radio gets very jerky and skips back and forth by a quarter of a second continuously as soon as I turn off the screen. [edit - I just listened to it for a few minutes with the screen off and it suddenly cut out. I turned the screen on an the app was no longer in my notifications tray]
If Sony fixed this particular memory leak, what's going wrong with my phone? Could it be related to the fact that I've encrypted if for the first time? I'm getting desperate enough to consider factory resetting and losing everything, because listening to podcasts and playing threes is one of my favourite activities. It's not a demanding game for my year old, top of the line phone. My cheap tablet manages it, and so did the phone on KitKat!
Hello,
I'm currently (and very happily) running nAOSPROM on my Xperia S. However, the only thing I miss from stock is the camera, both its simplicity and its quality. I tried various alternative camera apps, and they are all not very satisfactory (especially in low light) and seem to draw an ungodly amount of battery while doing an inferior job. I even tried the recent port of Z4 camera (including framework), and it seems that the XS isn't able to handle that one anymore, running out of memory and coming to a screeching halt. Not that I'd be particularly interested in placing stickers on my pictures or using AR anyway.
Bottom line/tl;dr: I want the camera back that worked so great in Xperia S stock firmware.
My question now is: Is there any possibility and if so, someone knowledgeable enough to port the bog-standard Xperia S stock camera from the latest (and probably last) JB stock firmware so it can be run on Lollipop?
Thank you so much in advance (even for a definite no)

Yes, that's the one I meant with "the recent port of the Z4 camera", I made the same experience.
I'm really hoping for a port of the original, basic, but great working camera.
i wrote to the dev and he replied to me: "to fix black screen use com.sonyericsson.cameraextension.jar in framework folder from working xperia port camera for xperia s it will surely works" .. so i will try it when i will have some free time

I'm waiting too for a stock camera port for lollipop roms (ucyan or naosp). Please let us know the outcome.
I'm still on stock too just for the camera. I'm using the EXR port from Z1 which is great but also the stock would be great.
Any news ?
I do not know if I'm doing dirty flash which find it hard but I tried to install both Ucyan as the Naosp the Ucyan in the system is with random crashes and reboots in Naosp black screen and a Rebot until not stand it and went back to SipleAOSP
Any news ?

Hello guys,
My wifes t2 ultra all by it self one day she was starting the camera and it was all black just nothing after a few tries now camera crashes and gives error( unfotunately, camera has stopped).
I tried:
1-Clearing all camera apps data from settings(Camera, camera common, camera extension, cameras)but no luck.
2-Reseting the phone to its factory defaults several times and one of them the camera worked for a few minutes.
3-Reinstalled the official lollipop using pc tools but again the problem is unsolved.
There was one time the camera worked just by it self for a day or something then again it decided to crash again.
The phone is on 5.0.2 Build 19.3.A.0.472.
Any help would be appreciated , I've been on this for like 3 weeks, can the problem be a hardware issue or a software?
Thanks a lot in advance.
Hello, when I had Lollipop on my T2 Ultra. I did not experience any of those problems. Well currently I'm on Kitkat and waiting for 5.1.1 update.
- Try going for a different firmware. Or redownload it again. Try at Xperia Firmware app. Follow instructions.
- Try Sony PC Companion repair phone.
- Try downgrading to Kitkat.
If still persist try to contact Xperia Support on their live chat or pm them in E-mail. Or bring your device to the nearest Sony Xperia Service Center.

I have the same issue too bro
it has been same from when i bought the phone. i tried everything to solve the blurry camera and ended up knowing it was the dust inside the cover glass of the back camera.
i showed it to the sony center they cleaned it up but also said me it will keep happening as there is some room for the air and here i am. it keeps getting dusty everytime with my phone and now i dont use camera anymore !!

Hi all, so my doubt it's that I have the H815P android lollipop rooted, and I want to upgrade to android M, but I don't want to lose the root, because I have the sound mod and also the 60fps camera mod, is there any way to get at least the 60fps video recording on android M??? Or is there a prerooted image like llolipop to flash via cmd??? what I really want is the 60 fps videorecording in android M, thanks in advance for your help.

No you won't be able to do this so far. From todays point-of-view you will have to do a full wipe to get from system rooted to android 6.
Thanks, by the way I can't unlock bootloader because of my model H815P, so if I want to upgrade I need to say good bye to root?? And if so, I think just remain wait until we have root acces rigth??? Thanks in advance.

No. You can be on a rooted 6.0 for sure. If you're on 5.1 root your phone using this method, flash TWRP (There are many threads how to do it) and use this method to upgrade to 6.0 - et voila, you're on rooted 6.0.
Furthermore, the 60fps camera mod you've mentioned is working on 6.0. Just flash the zip via TWRP (I've tested it on my H815 - no problems, but just in case, make a nandroid backup)
EDIT: These threads are for H815 - sorry didn't read that you're on 815P - and I don't know if all those things work for you. Just read in the threads I gave you what the others said. Good luck
Android 6.0 needs an unlocked bootloader to get root. Updating from 5.1 will remove root. So you have to stick with 5.1 and write to LG that you want your bootloader unlocked. But lately I'd say your chances are getting worse. You have to keep this in mind when you're buying your next phone.
Hey guys I have one question to you. When I upgraded my XPERIA M5 from 5.1 lolippop to 6.0 Marshmallow, my phone doesn't work like before update. My phone has problem with taking a photos (defocus), all time the lagging and turning off often. So my question is Can I downgrade my phone to 5.1 lolippop because in my opinion this phone better working on this version software. I from poland guys and on my polish forum people are talking that flashtool doesn't good work with this model of phone for example the lot of people spoiled your phones. If you have a problem with my english I'm sorry but my english is not too good.
Flashtool works perfectly fine. I'm still yet to find how people keep bricking their phones

Yeah i agree if you use the most up to date FlashTool you should'nt have any problem's.
Even if the fsc script isn't included your ftf file as long as you sync FlashTool when you start it, it will still ask if you want to include it so as long as you answer yes you won't brick it.
