what happened to my green battery icon? - Verizon Note 7 Questions & Answers

On my replacement Note 7 , i received and installed the update that would show the battery icon green. Just recently, I have noticed that my battery icon in the Notification shade is NOW white. Where did the green icon go? Did anyone else lose their green icon? My particulars are below.

have you rechecked your IMEI using their online tool yet? I wonder if some they thought were good were in fact not... as that could lend to yesterday's story of one popping on a plane.

Here is wierd thing.... I did download the update when I first got the replacement phone and the battery Icon in the notification area was green, but just recently (actually noticed it yesterday) it has turned white!
On my lock screen it shows the battery icon as green, but when unlocked, the battery icon in the notification area is white. Is that the way it is supposed to be?

Well I am using Good lock and I didn't think that it could "re-theme" the Battery Icon. I thought that the the green Icon was something that could not be changed as it is supposed to show that it is a "Safe" Phone.

I'm using smart lock and my icon is green

Just so i am clear... your green battery icon that you speak is in the notification area along the top of your unlocked phone?

Yes

The green icon/White icon is a glitch with the toolbar.. Mine is still green im on the latest update, but Go SMS's icon on the topo is mostly always white, but sometimes out of the blue it will be Green. Google wanted to lock down the top colors on the bar but sometimes it gets wonky.

Smart Lock and Good lock are two different things. Good lock is notification management with a full retheme, smart Lock turns off locking mechanisms on the phone when certain criteria is met (Bluetooth device connected, wifi, location, etc)

sorry im using good lock and the icon is still green

Status Bar Removal beta + FullScreen beta [JellyBean]

Seeing as how some were concerned with burn-in/didn't want the status bar I'm releasing a first step towards it.
The status bar has been removed, however apps don't seem to reclaim it. I'll be working on this tonight/tomorrow and post any updates on it.
This is for Bigxie's v1 version of JB.
Update:
Adding a fullscreen version that permanently remains fullscreen after 2-3 force closes (There's only a few but they stop after a minute or two and I've yet to have any issues with anything else though I haven't extensively tested it).
XDA is having issues with photos for me, screenshot is here: http://postimage.org/image/yx6en8kif/
FullScreen Mode: http://multiupload.biz/0y10uw1bgdgh/FullScreen Mode_MultiUpload.biz.zip.html
And for those with issues:
Standard JellyBean:
http://multiupload.biz/5puvw2cp7yp1/JB-Original-Navbar_MultiUpload.biz.zip.html
one questions: are only the icons removed or the hole status bar includig the black background?
the status bar doesn't burn in. the rest of the screen just loses brightness, whereas the status bar is black and doen't emit light. the oleds in this section and in the softbutton-section don't lose brightness because they aren't used that much. that's crappy, cause it is pretty good visible after just a couple of months of usage.

The whole status bar is gone, you can't even slide it down or anything. Also could you elaborate on the losing brightness part please?
Also if anyone else has ideas I'm willing to try them. Causing the SystemUI to crash it enters the correct full screen for a min or two, but that isn't permanent nor ideal.
especially the blue subpixels lose brightness the older they get. entering fullscreen mode, let's say watching a movie, shows, that the status bar and onscreen buttons area are more blue than the rest of the screen. this is because these areas weren't used that much.
samoled is very crappy when it comes to longevity. especially for power users it's really bullsh... i had it on every samsung samoled so far. only omnia 7 with windows phone doesn't show these "burned icons" because it's mostly running in full screen, except you touch the status bar, then the icons pop in.
Lol sorry to say but after reading this thread ... I'm just as confused as the box boy in your phones background... =\ not going to try this one...

I've seen a couple of requests like that one. Notifierpro apparently lets you (I've never tried it) and my curiosity as to how to actually remove the status bar lead me to this. (I'm not so worried about the burn in, and will leave my status bar there, I just know a couple of people seemed to want it gone to remove burn in)
Why not hide it with Nova/Apex launcher?

Because it will come back whenever you go into any other app. I don't care for this mod, but can see its use for some.

I might be able to make an app do it, to swap out the SystemUI.apk when toggled. idk if you can do that with the phone running though.
hi matt
just installed your Full Screen mod
and my Gnex is never starting (stays on bootloop)
I have the Jelly Belly V2 ROM
any idea ?

Probably isn't compatible with Jelly Belly V2.
I've only tested it on bigxie's v1
strange as it it is system.apk or system UI if I'm right , so must be the same on JB ROMs

Battery percentage on the notification panel

Hi everyone, just got LG G7 from tmobile. I am confused, almost on every picture on the internet I see battery percentage in the top right corner of the screen. In my case in order for me to see battery % I need to pull down the notification panel. Is there a way to fix that? I already went to battery settings and switched on the option to show the battery % in notifications panel. Please help.

I was about to post the same question so I'm looking for the answer too...
If you go into Settings and then Battery, there is a toggle that says "Battery Percentage on status bar".
---------- Post added at 21:31 ---------- Previous post was at 20:51 ----------
Ok, I was just messing with it and you are right. It will never show it in the notch but it toggles that option in the notification drop down.
I love the phone, but seriously, what is the point of calling this a second screen if you still have to pull down the notification bar to see the icons?
I hope they add an option for always show icons....

Hmm, that is kind of odd. I wonder the reasoning for the bug on T-Mobile version?
Oh you know what, he's right. I been too busy gaming to realize it shows all the time outside of games.
Well as you can see in the screenshot below, it does not show up on the T-Mobile version of the G7

I have T-Mobile variant and it does show on mine. Did you update the device?
I'm on T-Mobile, and it's showing just fine for me, no pull-down required. Toggling "Battery percentage on status bar" in Settings | Battery toggles it off and on (for me, anyway).
I did a factory reset and now I have the percentage in the notification bar. Perhaps it a bug??
Has to do with display size. Turn it all the way down.
Go to:
Settings

You need to enable two things for this to work.
Go into Settings and then Battery and turn on "Battery percentage on status bar". \
You also need to select Standard from New Second Screen settings.

Ok tried everything. The only solution that works is to go to display settings and move the slider all the way to the left, the smallest size. Nothing else will work.

Yes this is the only solution that seems to work, good job guys
Now the question is, how do you make display size bigger without loosing the battery % in the notification panel? ?

Question: Status Bar Customization Tool in Android P v10.0.2.0

********
Hello,
it is really annoying
I have not found a suitable app to modify the status bar yet.
You can, however, set the DPI setting (minimum width) higher in the developer options.
So everything gets smaller and it fits more in the status bar.

Hi guys,
I just updated my Mi A2 Lite to the latest Android P version (v10.0.2.0) from Android Oreo.
At the end so far so good, but... for my OCD I have a very annoying issue.
It's a bit hard to explain that, but let's try:
In my status bar, by default, I have: Battery + %, 2 SIM Signals + WiFi + Do Not Disturb
In Oreo all good, but apparently Pie added the WiFi up/down network activities "arrow" and every time those arrows come out, basically auto hide my "Do Not Disturb" icon and replace with a small dot.
You can see it inside my 2 screenshot.
As I said, this is for me it's super annoying because my eyes are distract from the status bar that keep changing every seconds.
First of all, that happen to you guys? And doesn't annoying you?
I tried to use UI Tuner, but it seems working only with few icons, not with WiFi icon.
Do you know some tool (root) that can remove maybe the 2nd sim signal? Or maybe remove the network activities.
No idea... I just want my Oreo status bat back
Any idea?
Really appreciated and thanks!

Until then, only with the user interface tuner. I do not know anything that works with root.
If you deactivate the percentage of the battery is already gaining space and if the do not disturb is disabled, you will gain more space yet.

Use "UI Tuner Launcher"
You can download it from Play Store
Same problem for me, biggest grip with Pie
Has anyone find its solution ?
Because i noticed this after upgrading to pie (on oreo the dual sim signal indicator stack one over another)
Can't we mod or just have like oreo?
I can get battery percentage with System UI tuner (Nova launcher), but...hehe...I can see now %
But alarm icon, wifi/data icon and 1st SIM icon gone under little dot.
This is really frustrating.
And 1 more thing after PIE upgrading: there is no alarm icon and time on lock screen (when alarm is on).
Pie it's not an upgrade...for me look like downgrade.
EDIT: all fine now with lock screen...by itself somehow
Having the same problem. Statusbar icons dis- and reappearing every few seconds, why someone thought this is a good design choice is beyond my understanding.
Has someone found a solution yet?

Always on display icons

Hi all,
Yesterday I noticed that my always on display icons have changed from their previously nice loooking grey scale icons into hideous colour ones. The whatsapp icon also used to show a computer icon to indicate I had whatsapp web open and the regular icon if I had an unread message. Now it just shows an ugly green icon regardless.. Has anyone else had this happen and know how I can reverse it? I didn't see any notifications to indicate an update and they're set to not auto install. My MIUI version is 11.0.2.
Cheers

Go settings-notifications-notification bar-pick android.
This doesn't affect the notification icons on the always on display unfortunately.
I fixed it! I installed the apk from the following link that I found from another thread. Apparently it adds more apps icons too!

General New System Update 62.1.A.0.617

Hi, this morning I received a notification of a new system update, release 62.1.A.0.617.
Wasn't able to find any info on the web, so I'll wait for a while before proceeding to update my Xperia.
Do someone have news?
Ciao!
Updated today, can't see any difference so far, other than the security patch level, which is now July 1, 2022.
Dito. No (new) bugs so far.
I had one problem so far - home screen now shows one row of apps less than before the bottom ones just disappeared to my confusion.
@De Greedy same experience here, before the update, my 5x9 app drawer would fit on one screen, now i have to scroll to see the last row.
I used the default display size and font size from settings before and after the update.

Right after the update the phone started acting weirdly, graphics were not smooth but kind of jumping, the wifi was off and couldn't turn it on, notifications history always crashed, but this all were fixed after multiple restarts. However, the software update history only shows previous two updates, but not the current one, despite the fact that software was actually updated (based on quick settings menu version number, checking for updates, security update date, and baseband number).
I've been using it for four days now. Haven't noticed anything bad so far.
I confirm that the spacing between the icons on the screen and in the app drawer changed a little, rows are more separated. Not a big deal for me.
The last update appears regularly in the history.
No other issues at the moment.
edit: there are new emojis

does everyone know how to change UI Color?
To my knowledge, you can't choose, it follows the main color of the desktop image.
Unless you install a different launcher(!)
