Hey guys, it's me again and I want to ask you guys. Is there another to unlock the bootloader for the Xperia S? I tried the dialer method which is to dial *#*#7378423#*#* to open the service menu but that didn't work. Second, i tried to use the bootintofastboot.bat using ADB but that didn't work. Please help me. BTW my Xperia S runs on Android 6.0. And also, how do you run NEED FOR SPEED:No Limits on Xperia S? Mine keeps exiting when the EA and the Monkey logo appears on the screen.

If You are on ROM based on Android 6.0 in Xperia S, then Your phone is bootloader unlocked.

Hello XDA, I've got a rooted Xperia Play running the Xperia NXT ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1649368). I would like to unlock the bootloader and boot into fastboot mode but when I enter *#*#7378423#*#* and check the Bootloader status, I see "Bootloader unlock allowed: No". I've heard there is a way around this, could someone help me? I'd love to install the doom ICS kernel on my phone and a new ROM. Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Phone is AT&T, R800i, and I also know what my IMEI number is

Hi guys,
A friend of mine wanted to install kitkat on his xperia m, I have a xperia too (sp) so I thought I could easily help him! We rooted the device, made a TA backup and we tried to unlock the bootloader. We followed all the steps on the sony site and when we entered the command in cmd it said [FINISHED] and just that I remember when I unlocked my sp's bootloader it said stuff like this "[BOOTLOADER]unlock requested" But it didn't do this on my friends M! I thought it was fine so we proceeded and installed archidroid together with it's custom kernel. We rebooted the device and it didn't do anything at all (just a black screen, not responding to anything) so that just tells us that the bootloader is NOT unlocked and not accepting custom kernels. We had to restore the device with flashtool to get it up and running again
Does anyone know what's wrong?
Open dialer and put in *#*#7378423#*#* then go to service info then configuration and on the bottom at rooting status. if it says yes then it can be done if it says no then there no possible way to unlock it at all. Screenshot of mine

Hi guys,
First post on this forum, so I apologize in advance if this is not the right section. I have an Xperia E phone and I'm following a guide I found on the net to install Cyanogenmod in it. In order to do it, I followed the official Sony guide to unlock the bootloader, they sent me the unlock code and I used fastboot to enter the code into the phone. After that, the phone got stuck in a bootloop and I had to use a program called Flashtool in order to flash the original ROM into the phone again.
Now, when I enter *#*#7378423#*#* on the phone's dial pad and go to "Service info > Configuration", I can see the following message:
Code:
Rooting status:
Bootloader unlock: Yes
:
The weird thing is every guide I've read on the net about unlocking Xperia devices claim the above message should be "Bootloader unlocked: Yes", so I'm slightly confused (note the difference between "unlock" in the above message and "unlocked"). I guess it is actually unlocked because I was able to use Sony's Flashtool to flash the original ROM, but some clarification on this would be useful since I'm planning to install Cyanogenmod and I wouldn't like to brick the phone by flashing a custom ROM on an unlocked phone.
Thanks in advance for any help!
I finally was able to install CM11 in the phone, so I guess the bootloader was unlocked after all. Now I'm having a couple of issues, but I'll open a new thread for that, since it's a different problem.
Regards.
