Help with Installing CyanogenMod on Xperia Arc

So I've been trying to install this thing for the past two hours now and I've been running into a lot of trouble. I'm using a branded Rogers Xperia Arc and it seems like the bootloader is locked and I don't know how to unlock it. I've tried searching around on the forums but I haven't been able to debrand my phone or unlock the bootloader. Can someone help me out, I would really appreciate it.

[Q] any free way to unlock r800x bootloader

hello,
i was was wondering how i could unlock my bootloader? i know i can pay $25 but im a little tight on cash right now
thanks
No not at this point in time there was a free way to unlock the 800x awhile ago but that got shutdown by Verizon. A couple members on this site were generating unlock codes for them

that sucks but thanks one more question is it possible to install a kernal like doom kernal on a locked bootloader (sorry im new to the xplay i got it like 3 days ago)
No can't do it without having fastboot enabled but I know there are other devices out there that can flash a kernel without the need of fastboot. It would be pretty cool if it was possible to just flash a new kernel thru CWM or adb

[Q] Anyone know any ROM's for xperia play r800i locked bootloader?

Does anyone know any custom roms for the r800i?
Since Sony dropped the ics update for my phone i immediately searched for custom roms. I'm currently on gin2ics which is awesome but I'm looking for 4.0.3 roms for LOCKED bootloaders as i have no idea how to unlock mine.
EDIT:
Any Good ROMs Will do..
Thanks In Advance!
I dont think that would be possible since the sony stock kernel wont be able to boot the ICS, thats why you need an unlock bootloader to change the kernel
So how do i unlock my bootloader?

Thanks but this was the first thing i did and im told im not allowed to unlock bootloader.
For one thing i dont trust sony anymore cuz I'm one of many that had the x10 mini then got this phone. Promised an update and kicked in the dirt months later. All i know is my next phone is not going to be from sony.
Anyway, how do i unlock my bootloader when the bootloader unlock is disallowed? There must be a way...

I suggest unlocking your bootloader. Even if you find a rom that supports locked bootloader your risking yourself with a brick.

AT&T Xperia Play bootloader unlock?

Hey guys I recently got the at&t version of the xperia play and already rooted it. The thing is though I want to overclock it and possibly install some roms and I know for that I need to unlock the bootloader but so far all I have been reading shows that I need to pay to have my xperia bootloader unlocked? Is there any way around this?
I didn't see a thread like this when I was searching but if there was already one to help me out can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks!

[Q] Xperia S - Any Progress Unlocking Bootloader

As subject says has there been any progress in being able to unlock the bootloader when it says "NO" on the phone ?
I really like my Xperia S, but I'm getting increasingly frustrated by Sony's snailpace updates. I'd love to put CM10.1 on it but currently have no way to :crying:
Thanks
Sorry, friend , but I don't think its possible.

I've heard that there might be small chance of unlocking fastboot by removing the netlock. However, I'm not sure. For some people, it was just necessary to flash another ftf...
BTW, I have the same problem as you and if I find a solution, I'll let you know...
Only SONY authorized service can do that for you, but there is a chance they won't.
