I have tried everything from flashing new Clockworkmod recovery to going back to original nothing takes.
Clockworkmod recovery v5.8.1.5 will not go away
and when I try to install ROM I get
symlink: error in /sdcard/romname.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
does anyone have any ideas?
Are you S-Off or do you have an unlocked bootloader? Have you relocked? What ROM are you trying to flash? Where are you getting your recovery? How are you trying to flash it?

Status 7 usually refers to a bad download or a wrong device Rom. Check that the rom you are flashing is the right for your device and that the md5sum is correct.
I was trying to flash Cynogen Mod 12 and my phone gave an error as this package is for device: a5,a5dug,a5dwg,a5chl,a5ul; this device is htc_a5dug.

After restarting it got bricked and it is stuck on HTC logo.
I tried flashing other ROM and also the Stock ROM as i can use CWM or TWRP on my phone and also can use fastboot.

hi all , so today i tried to flash Android 4.4.4 kitkat from this
and downloaded it successfully without errors, but when i try to flash it i get an Error about "status 0" , i factory reset and did a clear cache on Clockwork recovery but it still wont ;-; all help appreciated!
I really need help, when i factory reset my phone my phone gets switched off due to low battery and when i switnched it on it got stucked in boot lopp i was using RR rom ( andriod 7.1) then i try to flash rom it always shows error only twrp is installed i tried to install stock rom using flastool and xpreifirim and it shows error while flashing i am not able to do anything please help
Hey try flashing the twrp recovery in fastboot mode .
