my nexus 5x is new,
- came with marsmallow (all ok)
- one week after that, receiving OTA to update Nougat (all ok)
- after that i try unlock bootloader, install twrp, root following step by step on this thread (all ok)
- then, try to custom rom with purenexus rom, following step on this official thread (my wifi doesn't work)
- my wifi problem solved by reboot to safe mode then switch to 2,4 Ghz band my wifi can connect then update all google apps.
- after reboot to normal mode i try to switch from 2,4 ghz band to auto, my wifi can't connect again.
- replace with custom rom paranoid android (my wifi still can't connect)
- flash to factory image 7.0.0 (NRD90S) (my wifi still can't connect)
- hard reset (my wifi still can't connect)
- replace with custom rom cyanogenmod (my wifi still can't connect)
- replace with custom rom purenexus again (my wifi still can't connect)
- at last my position now flash to factory image 6.0.1 (MTC20F) ( and my wifi still can't connect)
i have try to switching band mode to auto, 5 ghz, 2,4 ghz, use legacy DHCP Client, reboot to safe mode, but it doesn't solved my wifi problem.

I've been using DN3 V.3.2.1 on my N7100 (Galaxy Note 2) for some time, and noticed that the wifi (along with portable hotspot) didn't work. There's this wifi fix to install via odin to fix the problem.
The thing is, before DN3, I've flashed stock 4.3 N7100XXUENA1, without knowing that it comes with new bootloader. The new download mode restrict any rom installation except the stock 4.3 (though recovery and root installations is possible, dunno why) with an error : UNSUPPORTED VERSION
EDIT : The wifi works, but if I toggle portable hotspot, the hotspot can't be turned on and then when I try toggling wifi, it can't be turned on too. The only workaround is to reboot the phone to make the wifi work.
Is there any way to fix this? Since my main internet source is from my phone so portable hotspot is a must. Thank you and sorry if this has been asked before.
Hi there, my first post.
I've used arco68's guide to root my S4 mini LTE (serranoltexx) and flashed the CyanogenMod 11 M9 snapshot (cm-11-20140804-SNAPSHOT-M9-serranoltexx.zip), but the WiFi isn't working properly. Sometimes it connects (very rarely), but most of the time it just says "Connecting", "Authenticating..." and then goes back to say "Saved, secued with WPA" and the process repeats again.
I've tried flashing the following ROMs, but the WiFi isn't working properly on either of them:
cm-11-20140804-SNAPSHOT-M9-serranoltexx.zip (current)
cm-11-20140708-SNAPSHOT-M8-serranoltexx.zip
cm-11-20140813-NIGHTLY-serranoltexx.zip
Other things I've tried so far:
Using CM File Manager to delete contents of /data/misc/wifi and rebooting, as described here, but it didn't help.
Installed SQLite Debugger, went to Settings Storage > setttings.db > Global, where I wanted to change the value of wifi_display_on to 0 as described here, but it was already set to 0, so no luck here.
Changed the Region Code in WiFi settings (as described here) to United States, then to Europe, but this didn't help either.
Installed the latest nightly update, but still nothing.
Basically, I've tried everything I could find, but the WiFi still doesn't work, and I have no idea why. I don't want to downgrade to CM 10.2, since later when I decide to upgrade to CM 11, I'd need to wipe all the data and make a clean CM11 install. Also, I don't want to flash any other ROM except CM, so telling me to install Paranoid Android or anything else wouldn't help.
If you have any ideas how to solve this, that would be great! Also, feel free to ask for any additional details.
Update: I've just discovered that it connects to open WiFi networks without any problems (though I've only tried it on 2 so far), so probably WPA encryption or my old home router can be the cause of the problem. I can only change my home router to WPA (it doesn't work with WPA2), so I've yet to try it on another router supporting WPA2. If that works, it would solve the whole problem! I'm ashamed to say I haven't thought of this earlier...
Update 2: I just tested it on a WPA2-protected WiFi network and it connects without problems. The most likely conclusion seems that CM11 has some problem with WPA, so for the time being I'll switch to another router with WPA2. Hopefully gets fixed with the next snapshot!
Hi, I currently have installed CM13 (build 31/12/2015) and I have problem to connect to internet via Wifi network. When connected to the network, seeks, obtains IP and connects but disconnects automatically. I've uninstalled Xposed Framework via Recovery, I have made to wipe cache/dalvik and I have reset the network settings from on CM13 but the problem persists.
Finally, I have chosen to install a new kernel (Nebula Kernel), but the problem persist. Thank for your help.

Hello,
I have made a dirty flash and the problem has been fixed.
When i bought D855p it came with 4.4, then i updated to 5.1, all official. After this i installed Cyanogenmod 12.1 and everything were fine. But when i installed 6.0(poland) my network signal keeps droping the intire day, it changes to UMTS and HSPA. I cant use my phone as a phone. The only way to solve this is, every time that i turn off the cel or put in airplane mode, is enter in MOBILE NETWORKS > NETWORK OPERATORS > SEARCH NETWORKS and choose GSM. (but i need to do this EEEEEVERY TIME that my cel turns off/airplane mode).
6.0 is the only ROM that i can choose GSM and the signal keep ~stable~. At least i can use my phone as a phone !
I did a backup of my IMEI before installing cm12 as well.
Things that i already tried :
-Flash ALL modem (ALL) , including 21C.
-intall cm13 and after cm12. Using TWRP 2.8 and 3.0.
-stock 4.4 , 5.0 , 5.1 and again 6.0. Using LGFlashTools
-MANY factory resets and wipes !
anybody can help me ? :good:
Hi,
My current ROM is DN5 (for N7105) and im facing a wifi issues,Sometime even i stay close to the hotspot the wifi won't connect furthermore the signal is full of bar (when close) instead of connecting it show 'saved & secured',sometimes it gets connected but no for long and it disconnected again.
I tried to stay very close (near the hotspot) and it gets connected and when i try to stay few inches from the hotspot the device get disconnected.
My 2nd issue is my network is only ONE bar,Is there any method or fixes to fix my problem here please? :crying:
Thank You.
Is the phone running the latest bootloader and modem? Does this happen on a stock ROM? If not, you may need to use a different kernel with the ROM.
