Hi,
The legendary game grim fandango is stuttering on sound on my device and also not showing in game video clips which are just black, I have searched around Google and found the audio latency issue, does anyone know how to change miui 8 audio bit rates?

Hello everyone, recently I bought a Samsung Galaxy S because I needed a phone to play any video (up to 720p) without the need of conversion. Galaxy S does that well but there are some problems I found:
Some 720p video with high bitrate lag a little bit. Can I make them run smooth (is this possible with overclocking?)?
Some h264 mkv video, e.g. The episode 3 of Pokemon Best wishes from BWS (SD version), have sync problems with mvideo player. It works on rockplayer without sync problems but it has a lot of glitches (and it's only 480p!). I am not an android expert but I think this happens because the codecs being loaded from an app and this needs time and more cpu power. If the system have the codecs build in, I think the lag will disappear.
Some flash video (flv with vp6f video codec) don't play at all with the mvideo player. They work if I play them with rockplayer but, again, there are many glitches....
I understand that I can't do much to fix the first issue, but I know it's possible to fix the problem with the codecs. So, were are the codecs of a phone located and how can I edit them? Could you guys please help me out?
You might find them in the source code Samsung has released but I don't think editing them will be that easy. Rockplayer supports more formats because they use their own codecs but they lack hardware acceleration, that's why it's so slow.
if i were you id convert the video's to 480p they play alot smoother. the galaxy s screen cannot display 720p.
I had this problem since i bought One X almost a year ago. Youtube stutters a lot, almost like cpu cant catch up. Video plays fluidly for one second, then stutters/drops frames for a moment. Then another half second or one second of normal playback, than few random dropped frames again. Audio doesnt stutter or block at all. Doesn't matter if i change quality on youtube.
It's not low bandwidth, all videos are buffered far enough ahead. This only happens in youtube app and in in-browser player. If I play or stream some video in one x's default player, no stuttering. MX player also doesn't stutter at all even with 1080p mkv's.
While I play video in youtube app, microcpu shows one core constantley jumping between 10% and 100% with seccond core activating every couple of seconds. Could it be because cpu is switching frequencies/cores while playing? Or switching from that 5th tegra core to normal cores?
Anyway the effect is most obvious in videos with camera panning: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qd-_kFJn_LM.
When i play that video on huawei mediapad 7 lite (really low end tablet) or ip4, video is absolutely smooth. No stuttering at all.
Any ideas?

Try to get some custom kernel for your phone. And see what governor, IO shcaduler works best with it.
That video looks and plays perfectly on my stock one x 4.1 no stuttering at all, and I have no issues with any other youtube video's all is good for me.

I enjoy music games, but I've found that there is a severe lag between the audio and the on-screen timing windows in the music games when playing them on my Xperia ZL. My wife's Nexus 4 does not have this.
Whether the game is Cytus, DJMAX Ray, or O2JAM U, none of them will sync properly even after adjusting the timing offsets.
Has anyone else noticed this? Or if you have free time and play music games, could you test if it's also on your Xperia ZL?
Hi guys,
so I uploaded on my tablet's memory FHD movie, about 3GB with some cartoons, for my kid and it is terribly laggy while watching.
I am using VLC video player, but I tried about top10 from Google Play - everywhere same issues:
- video is laggy
- audio/video is slightly out of sync
Is it performance issue, which means that 2015 tablet is not capable of playing FHD movie or is it something else?
Cheers,
Tom
I have m2 8.0 but I have no issues with videos.
Even with movies with dolby digital 5.1 sound I have no issues. Did you try the movie on a different device ?
I use mx player pro for video playback, you can try the free version maybe.
I just bought a Huawei Mediapad M2 and 2 have been returned with Google Play Movies playback issue. Same problem - sound dropouts and video freezing. As a customer I would expect a Android device to play movies natively from Google Movies.
So far I'm disappointed....
unster, davidtamagotchi : Did you make sure that your power saving features are turned off? If you've got power saving turned on, that might be what is causing your lag. I've not experienced any issues so far with movie playback using vlc from the Play Store.
Hello guys!
I`m facing a problem on my lg g4.When i try to play some ts files , the sound is very very distorted.I`ve tried many video player ( mx, bs , vlc ) also using mx i`ve tried also the new codecs, but without any good results. The audio stream of that movie i tried to watch was 192kbps, 44.1 khz layer 3.In windows i don`t have any problem on playing that movie, but when i try to play it on my phone/tablet i can hear only distortion.
