I used a app called root app delete to remove the stock android browser "internet". Was curious as to know if there is a app I can install? I don't want to use another web app. Would appreciate it.
I'm confused on what you are asking..

I'm sorry guys. My girlfriend didn't back anything up and used a app called root app delete to delete her stock internet browser. She is rooted on 4.1.2 stock Rom. She doesn't want any 3rd party apps and I can't figure out why not save me the hassle and deal with chrome.
Anything would be great. Tried searching for a apk..
i think he wants the stock browser apk
You didn't search hard enough...

Well, technically chrome is not baked into this particular Rom. There are two points.
this is right from the stock rom out of system/app folder
Just follow that huge link I posted.

Are you odexed or deodexed? Because if you try to use the deodexed file on an odexed rom, you will get issues.
Permissions should be set to 644 or rw-r--r--.

Thank you, odex is what I needed. Went very smooth & had no issues what so ever.
Thanks to everyone who tuned and chimed in to give their two cents.
Very much appreciated.
Happy camper!
Which ad blocker are you guys running on your Nexus 7? I'm running Adaway and it's not really working for my Nexus.
A lot of ads that I normally don't see on my phone, I always see on the Nexus.
Any advice?
I use Chrome browser if that matters.

I haven't rooted yet, so I'm running Adblock Plus via proxy. Seems to work pretty well. AdAway is working fine on my phone.

AMAZING! works great as an adblock, plus it has so many other root features. It's full featured root app.

Try adblock plus from here
Note that it will not only block youtube ads but also any other ad in any app or while browsing.
It works with or without root(without root only on wifi i guess)

AdAway. Get it here.
And make sure to open the app once in a while to update the host files. Also do that as soon as it is installed.
