3.5.2 weird Notification Slider - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

So, I've been using FreedomOS for a while now and I've tried the 3.2.6 Version and the community build version 3.5.1 and 3.5.2.
I love the look of the community build mostly and I would like to use it as standard but the notification slider is somehow different from the normal version.
I would like the top position to fully mute the phone, mid to let through priority and bottom to just vibrate. That works on the normal build, but on the community build I can't get the soundslider to vibrate only. Why is that and how can I fix this? Because right now, I'd have to use the muted top position with vibrations turned on and ignore the slider...
Or could I somehow get the launcher and other apps on the 3.2.6 version?
I hope this hasn't been asked before, I've look for a solution for some time, but haven't found anything useful.
Edit: I just saw someone asked this recently and I haven't seen that. Sorry

[Q] MIUI Status Bar Text

Hello, I came across MIUI Freshly Squeezed Edition. However the first I was exploring it, I found that the Status Bar text can be customized, so that it can display the Date & Time, however once I started to fiddle with it, I can no longer find that option. Could someone please help me out? Thanks!
I also found that I can move the Icons and texts in different places on the bar, but I don't see that option anymore either... so either I am blind, or I am missing something here, thanks!
Ah, the Extended Control right? By the way you said, is it the settings or the app itself vanished? Anyway, there's a separate flashable zip of Extended Control for MIUI which can be found on the web (in case of the missing app). Just make sure that you flash the right version of each zip and the rom version accordingly.
Yup! That was it! Thank you very much for your help! <3

[Q] where is pulse in eaglebloodrom build 2.04?

Thank you for your attention and patience readers. I rooted my GSM Galaxy Nexus when i got it a few weeks ago. I of course use Rom Manager and I quickly discovered my liking for and preference of the Eagleblood mod. For the past few weeks I have been using the Eaglebloodmod version 4.0.3 BUILD 2.01 and I loved it. It seemed perfect. One of the features in it's main settings menu was pulse. It allowed me to set the color and duration and frequency of the pulse notification led light on the face of the phone at the bottom below the screen. I just updated to the Eaglebloodmod version 4.0.4 BUILD 2.04. Right away it seems faster and even better with more great settings options and etc. Overall I like it even more than the now much previous build version.
NOW HERE'S MY PROBLEM. Where is pulse in the settings? Hopefully I'm stupid and you guys will show me where I'm not looking or something, but anyways. It is no longer there as far as I can see. In fact, before I even noticed that pulse was missing I noticed that I no longer had to scroll down a little bit to see the "Battery" option. Before I had to because pulse was also in the line of things and it pushed battery a little farther down making me have to scroll down a little bit. So it's not like there's something there instead it's just not there. I'm curious why would a later build be missing something an earlier build possessed? PLEASE SOMEBODY TELL ME WHERE IS THE PULSE SETTING IN THE SETTINGS. and if it simply is no longer there, well jeez Eagleblood.....jeez. I know it may sound like such an unimportant little thing but i really liked and got really used to having my pulse light go off BLUE every 1 second for 1 second.
i'm on eagleblood build 2.1 now and still the pulse colors option in the settings is gone. it used to be there in the 4.0.3 version. i don't understand why such a nice feature is gone now
You don't need two of these threads. Install the app lightflow.
okay thanks, i'll try that

[Q] Blu Kuban 1.0.4.2, some assorted things

So I finally scratched the itch and installed Blu Kuban last night. Thanks to various people on XDA, the install went smoothly. No moments of panic or anything. I really like how fast it feels, and the levels of customization. Not to mention, Sprint really pissed me off with their handling of our device, so I like having some power now with my phone.
I do have a few questions/observations. I'm new to the board (as a poster), so I know I can't post in Dev, so I hope this is all right and proper.
1. I looked through the various ROM options last night, and I could swear I saw some mods for switching/removing some of the toggles on top of the notification window. There's a few I don't really need. But I'm having trouble finding the option that I thought I saw last night. I went through the various update categories numerous times, and I can't find them now. If this exists, can someone point me in the right direction?
2. Speaking of options, is there one for splitting the ring/notification volume? This was something that wasn't working for me on the Oneclick I previously used, and apparently it is an ICS thing. I don't know if there's a solution for this in the ROM.
3. Timeriffic is giving me a slight display issue, and I don't know if it's an app thing or a ROM thing. When I tap on a rule to bring up its settings, the buttons for each option is dark, and I can't see what it is. The clock on the top of that window also looks different than it did previously (I used an sfhub Oneclick of ICS). I really should look around their site and see if this is an app issue, but I'm minutes away from leaving work for the day.
4. I know there's a mod to change the second shortcut on the lockscreen, to launch the dialer or text, or something. Is there an option to add more?
I've had a few isolated problems with FC's. Namely, if I tap+hold on the data toggle in the notification window, I freeze and eventually System UI force closes and reboots, sans my battery icon. Just now I had a random FC on the ROM Updater when I went to look at the boot animation mods.
Regardless though, thank you RUJELUS22 for the time and effort put into this ROM. I look forward to using it more and learning a lot along the way.

Welcome to the rom it is pretty nice and to answer your questions
1: It's in "Labs".. Scroll towards the bottom of the rom updater options to see it
2: if I'm correct I think you mean the notification while on the phone.. That can be found in "general mods" in the rom updater.. It's called "in call sms notification'
3: I don't use traffic light so apologies to not knowing that answer
4: at the moment there is no option to add more.. May be something you could request though... (widget locker works good if you want more short cuts)
5: that is a known bug.. So you can long press all the other toggles but that one.. And yeah sometimes the rom update does hang but it's from usually using it with bad signal connection.. Best to use on WiFi... But when it does hang u should be able to back out of it or hold the home button get into task manage and close it

1. Settings, display, quick panel.
2. Settings, sound, volume
3.when you are able to post in dev, post the name of the apps you have dark text issues on and rujelus will take a look at patching it in the next release.
4. At this time, no. You could use go locker in the play store.
Also the long press data toggle fc is a known issue. Should be resolved shortly.
I think Miguel may have misunderstood some of your questions.

Yeah I thought you may have read too quickly. I had to look a few times myself to make sure. Usually your replies are spot on. Been known to do the same myself. NP
Thanks to both of you. Funny I spent all that time looking at the ROM Updater for the toggle settings, when it was in the stock settings.
The Timeriffic/sound issue I'm referring to is how ICS deals with the volume level for the ringer, vs. how it does the volume for notifications. My notifications have been coming out louder than my ringtones, and I'd like to level them. Especially since I get more texts than calls, and I don't want to mute my phone at work (hey, if no one else does, why should I!). As for the color issue there, I'll wait until I can post in that thread and I'll ask, but I'll also take some time to look around on Timeriffic's site. I had a similar issue with another program running one of the Oneclicks, so I wonder if it's an ICS issue, or the way some of those apps were compiled.

[Q/A] Some BeanStalk Questions

Hello everyone!
Although this is my first post, some of you may (highly unlikely) remember me as "WaterMan" , I created a couple of ROMs way back in the HTC Magic days
However, I am here to ask some questions about Beanstalk running on my SGS3. It is Build 4.3.07 running JB 4.3
So far this ROM runs great and I love it. However there are a couple of quirks I wanted to work out
1) Is it possible that when I pull down the notification panel, it will show me my notifications immediately rather than the "Profile" panel? I find it extremely annoying that when I pull down the panel, it opens up those toggles and I have to switch to notification view every time, a real time-killer
*Edit* Answered: Apparently pulling the notification panel down from the LEFT side opens notifications, while pulling it down from the RIGHT side opens the toggles. Still cannot figure out how to edit which toggles are shown, if possible
2) Is it possible / how can I add or remove toggles from the pull-down panel?
3) I am having issues with signal dropping randomly, is there any way to fix this?
and finally 4) How can I remove some native applications? I used titanium backup but it does not seem to work
Thank you all! Other members, please feel free to ask questions and answer them relating to BeanStalk's latest build!

[Q] Slider support in custom Roms?

Hello everyone,
More and more Roms getting Dash Charge support because the drivers are released but what about slider support? I liked RR, CM, Bliss on my previous phones but I don't like having hardware which is not working.
So on which custom Roms is the slider feature working?
Thanks
Alert slider work on RR and Nuclea for sure

Essentially all the recently-updated CM/AOSP-based ROMs. You can literally pick a random ROM on XDA for the OnePlus 3 and not have to worry about the Alert Slider working.
Couple things to know about the Alert Slider on custom ROMs: with the exception of Paranoid Android, you can turn off "Do not disturb" mode through the quick settings or volume controls, even when the switch is all the way up. I find this behavior strange but understandable since this switch isn't found on Nexus devices (Google didn't code the OS for Alert Slider). To re-enable the effects of Alert Slider, slide the switch down and up again.
Also, I find this pretty annoying: when you move the switch, you don't get a banner in the center of the screen like Oxygen OS - just a weak vibration feedback and a new statusbar icon on top. I find the banner useful since the vibration motor is weak and the icon on the status bar is small. I take my OnePlus 3 out in bright sunlight everyday and being able to see what mode it's on easily is a somewhat big deal for me. I don't want to accidently put the switch to Total silence (I've done that a few times by mistake), and I don't want to put my phone to my face just to see the statusbar what mode my device is on.
To sum up, the slider works fine on pretty much all ROMs on the OnePlus 3 bar minor quirks, so I installed Paranoid Android and I'm using it as my daily driver ROM. Much better battery life than Oxygen OS, that's for sure.

Thanks for your fast and accurate answer. I don't like the fact that my volume Buttons still would work but I guess I Have to take it for what it is (however I might even be able to make a commit to fix that). Thanks for your answer I can now happy flash a new ROM
