[Q] Slider support in custom Roms? - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

Hello everyone,
More and more Roms getting Dash Charge support because the drivers are released but what about slider support? I liked RR, CM, Bliss on my previous phones but I don't like having hardware which is not working.
So on which custom Roms is the slider feature working?
Thanks

Alert slider work on RR and Nuclea for sure

Essentially all the recently-updated CM/AOSP-based ROMs. You can literally pick a random ROM on XDA for the OnePlus 3 and not have to worry about the Alert Slider working.
Couple things to know about the Alert Slider on custom ROMs: with the exception of Paranoid Android, you can turn off "Do not disturb" mode through the quick settings or volume controls, even when the switch is all the way up. I find this behavior strange but understandable since this switch isn't found on Nexus devices (Google didn't code the OS for Alert Slider). To re-enable the effects of Alert Slider, slide the switch down and up again.
Also, I find this pretty annoying: when you move the switch, you don't get a banner in the center of the screen like Oxygen OS - just a weak vibration feedback and a new statusbar icon on top. I find the banner useful since the vibration motor is weak and the icon on the status bar is small. I take my OnePlus 3 out in bright sunlight everyday and being able to see what mode it's on easily is a somewhat big deal for me. I don't want to accidently put the switch to Total silence (I've done that a few times by mistake), and I don't want to put my phone to my face just to see the statusbar what mode my device is on.
To sum up, the slider works fine on pretty much all ROMs on the OnePlus 3 bar minor quirks, so I installed Paranoid Android and I'm using it as my daily driver ROM. Much better battery life than Oxygen OS, that's for sure.

Thanks for your fast and accurate answer. I don't like the fact that my volume Buttons still would work but I guess I Have to take it for what it is (however I might even be able to make a commit to fix that). Thanks for your answer I can now happy flash a new ROM

[Q] Connectivity bar?

I don't quite know what the thing is called. That's basically my question:
Can the pull-down connectivity bar at the top that allows you to quickly turn on or off wifi, Bluetooth and GPS as well as switch between vibration and ring tone be installed on a Sense ROM?
I've encountered it on CyanogenMod 6.1.1 and rather liked it. Unfortunately, I prefer some of the HTC Sense functionality, so I switched back to the stock ROM (after learning how to uninstall uninstallable apps, that is ). But the stock does not have this bar. Where it would normaly be, there is only my network provider's name and a delete button for the messages.
How do I get this functionality back?
Regards and thank you,
it's built into the framework of a rom. If you want the feature then I suggest you install a rom with it or just use the power widget thing
Seriously? The only option is a widget? That's sad.
Afraid so, the widget notification bar thing is one of the tweaks and features Cyanogen put in CM. It is quite handy.
Back when I had my Evo there were devs making flashable zips for notification pull down controls for this so I'd assume they're around for the G2 as well. On the Evo it required a Deodexed ROM though so you might as well just flash one that already has em in it at that rate.
Hmmm... I'm just warming up to the Virtuous ROM so I don't think using Cyanogen again will be an option.
Ah, what the heck, whether I pull down the menu or scroll to the right once doesn't matter much, does it .
Thanks for the replies .

Paranoid pie options poll

Hi, today I saw a post regarding the new pie that Pie dev team is trying to achieve which basically abolishes the "Bare Pie" functionality, aka the always on statusbar with 0% navbar.
Now I have such grown to this option that disappeared statusbar ( with normal pie ) looks aweful to me in terms of aesthetics and functionality too. So I am starting this poll to know how this decision will affect your usage of future PA roms .
You just need to vote in between three options from
Bare pie ( Statusbar on) -- Phone ui
Normal pie ( Hidden statusbar )
Other ( tablet ui ) and pie combo -- Havent used tablet ui after ICS days so really dnt know how pie behaves with it.
Keep voting guys , there are lotts of PA users in our community,
I've gotta have a status bar. With with nav set to 0%. With pure pie (extended desktop) I keep missing texts because I don't see them.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Normal pie. I need my screen to be full screen or i feel like I'm wasting space.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Will vote from a PC later but yeah. I like having choices. Options. To be able to set up my phone my way. And with the new PA and pie. It's pretty much this way or that way and that's how you have to use it.... Meh.
Plenty of other ROMs with pie let me choose my pie style with or without status bar and don't make me remove my nav bar or enable expanded desktop either. So I run them. Plus most have DPI/Layout or "hybrid" options as well at this point. This is android and I personally feel like limiting users to either A or B isn't cool. That's just me. No disrespect to PA dev team at all, but I specifically bought a nexus because of the development for it and specifically flash for mods, hacks, features, etc. that can't be found on stock or any other phones... Minimal AOSP base ROM + hybrid & pie isn't enough to keep me using it anymore. Like I said that stuff is in plenty of other projects which have a lot more features without affecting stability.
Not bashing PA at all. I'm a huuuge fan. It used to be my goto ROM. It was the first thing ever flashed on my nexus and I loved it. ICS-JB(4.1.x) nothing IMO could beat it at the time, nothing.
... but she changed and she'll never be the same I think. As much as it hurts, I think I need to move on...
Normal Pie for me, Bare Pie looks imbalanced. You have top inactive screen without the bottom. It's weird
I love the pie, but also need my stausbar to be visible. If it only replaced navbar it'd be fine. One more thing, the trigger area is either too big (prevents effective use of keyboard buttons), or too small (too difficult to access pie controls). No matter what side of the screen you put it on, the trigger area blocks the use of something.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
I don't use pie in PA since it hides the status bar and the reasons stated above - either doesn't active 75 percent of the time because the detection is set low, but when setting it higher it blocks certain keyboard keys/menu buttons from being detected.

Alert slider options?

Is there any custom ROMs or tweaks out that can change the functions of the alert slider?
I would love to have one for silent, vibrate, and ring. I am not really a huge fan of the priority and silent options that are available now.
If there isnt anything out now, I think it would be awesome to see someone come out with a lot of customizable options for the alert slider or maybe even the recent and back buttons if possible.
Also, was there any customization on the Oneplus 2 alert slider?
As far as your first question, you may want to specify your device. The alert slider on the OnePlus 2 should have minor customization from Oxygen OS. But as far as I know its only to the point of what each profile does. I haven't heard of any modules or other ROMs that give you the option to change what they do.

I posted in the OnePlus 3 Q&A so I figured everyone would know. I made a reference to the OnePlus 2 to see if anyone knew about any changes with the alert slider to see if there was a possibility to do the same to the OnePlus 3.

OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X has an xposed module called Alert Slider where you can set the slider to silent, vibrate and ring.
But this is not working for OnePlus 3.

Very interessting discussion.
I for myself dont really use that slider. For the same reason the OP was talking about. I just use silent everything for the night, vibrate during work, tone for the rest, thats all. That would be perfect for the slider options.
Thanks for bringing this up

Exactly same setting is required in my case. Silent at night with no ring and vibration just alaram, Vibrate at work with no ring for calls, Tone for rest all calls and sounds.

I think it would be a great addition to OxygenOS. I just don't see many people really using the existing features that are in there now. I think it would see much more use if it had ring, vibrate, and silent functions.
Actually this works perfectly for me: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...h-between-ring-vibrate-vibrate-silent.451867/

This app works for OnePlus 2 and I hope it would work on OnePlus 3 in a next update.
Edit. It should work with OnePlus 3 as well but at the moment there are some bugs in all OOS3 versions:

I was running either bliss or vanilla unicorn and it had slider settings you were able to tweak built in.

Force apps to 18:9 (full screen)?

I enabled full immersive mode to help prevent screen burn-in and now I'm finding that a couple of apps, namely Spotify, won't utilize the full screen area and keeps a huge black bar on the top and bottom of the app. On my LG V30, there was an option to force apps to utilize the full screen and this worked perfectly with Spotify. However, I'm not seeing this option on my 2 XL.
Does anyone know how to force certain apps into full screen on the 2 XL?
Same problem here, would love a fix for this so I can use the whole screen
Accessibility has a magnification option when triple tapping the screen. It zooms in a bit too far but it does go full screen. I wonder if there is a way to lower the zoom amount somewhere.

The LG V30 handles this really well. Little button on nav bar to switch between full screen and regular and the setting sticks per app.
This seems like and option but I haven't tried it out yet myself.

Yeah, I pulled my V30 back off the shelf for a bit yesterday and it made me envious of how well it handles immersive mode, compared to the 2 XL. Sadly, yesterday, I started to experience the issue that others have mentioned with immersive mode enabled on the 2 XL, which is that occasionally the screen won't wake and the only way to fix it is with a hard reboot (hold power for 10 seconds). It happened to me 3 times yesterday. So now I'm realizing that in order to keep my phone fully functional and reliable, I have to disable immersive mode.
On the plus side, my squeeze for assistant feature will work again but now I'll be putting myself at risk for screen burn-in. So anything I can do to hide the nav bar whenever possible will be very welcomed. I'll give that GMD Full Screen app a try. No matter what I'm going to use Nav Bar Apps to change the color of the nav bar based on the app being used. This will allow me to prevent the black nav bar from showing up, minimizing the risk of screen burn-in.
Maybe set nav to 1 ?cuz apk need to see if there is a keyboard

How do I do that? I'm familiar with ABD/fastboot commands but not sure what the command is to change nav to 1.
Removing the navbar doesn't force apps into fullscreen
I like that my Note 8 gives you the option to force it in apps that don't support it and it remembers that decision

That is what V30 does, nice thing with V30 is you have a 4th button on nav bar that is a toggle between immersive on and off and however you set it 'sticks' for that app for next time. So it makes it very easy to setup/use. Frankly, this should be default behavior in Android and the fact that it isn't just wreaks of Google stubbornness we see where they just won't make and obvious and necessary changes because their original thinking is different than what people want.
Guys you will have to wait for custom roms to come out. They (at least some) will more then likely have features like this. The pixel is stock android pretty bare bones when it comes to things like that. Google isnt going to put a feature like that in (for some reason) that wouldnt be utilized by other phones. Now i know what your thinking. "But the pixel does have some "pixel specific software features" And this is true. But hey its Google it only took them 13 OS iterations to give us a proper ****ing battery % indicator.

Try out the app "Navbar Apps" in the play store. What it does is creates a matching color for the navbar of whatever app you're in simply lar to how the status bar works by default in apps. Some aren't accurate but you can manually set colors for apps too. Most are pretty spot on.
This works perfect to help with burn-in. The reason being is that people have it backwards, the navbar is the only thing not burning in due to black on Oled meaning the pixels are off. So by having a black navbar on all the time you're actually seeing burn-in from the entire rest of the screen with the navbar being darker since it's not active. Using the app I recommended above will basically even out the screen so it's all being used the same amount, thus reducing any noticable burn-in. It also looks really cool and has a bunch of great features.

Yeah, this option makes complete sense, actually. I couldn't understand why it would be the pixels that are turned off the most (with the black nav bar) that would cause the burn-in. So your explanation helps clear that up for me. Right before leaving for a 5 day trip in Costa Rica, I disabled full immersive mode and installed Nav Bar Apps. I spent my downtime on the plane to get all my app nav bar custom colors setup to my liking. Now all my apps have color variations ranging anywhere from red, to blue, to green, orange, yellow, white and everything in between. Everything EXCEPT black. I used the phone the entire trip for travel guidance, music, watching Netflix/Hulu, taking pictures etc.. All with absolutely no black nav bar. I just got home last night, checked the phone this morning for burn-in and there's nothing.
It's sad that this screen burns in so quickly with the black nav bar, but to me its become such a non-issue since it's so easy to avoid. The ideal setup would be to fully disable the nav bar and use pie controls instead but a ROM isn't yet available to do this. I've read that Custom Navigation bar is another solid option as it allows you to hide the nav bar by app. However, I'm not sure it allows you to change the nav bar colors and I'm fairly certain it still disables the squeeze for assistant feature because it's still technically using immersive mode in some form.

Can you elaborate on this a bit?
I tried that command but it didn't do anything. So I tried the same command with a different app, example...
settings put global policy_control immersive.navigation=apps,-com.google.android.youtube
And what I noticed is that it put the full nav bar immersive mode system wide on everything EXCEPT Youtube. This was the opposite of what I anticipated would happen. Now I'm thinking the "-" means I'm telling the system to make everything immersive except the app I specified in the above command. Is this correct? If so, the only benefit I see to using this method is to pick and choose certain apps to prevent the immersive nav bar.
Perhaps I'm misunderstanding?

Thanks for the heads up on this. Back in the day an Xposed module was needed for this and there was a spreadsheet going on matching apps colors that were detected wrong. The last good PA ROM had it baked in as well. Though I wonder how much longer this will be on the Play Store with Google set on removing anything that touches Accessibility Services that aren't related to a disability.

So I spent some more time fiddling with this and tried testing the same command but without the "-". So the new command is:
settings put global policy_control immersive.navigation=apps,com.google.android.youtube
What I noticed is that the nav bar immersive setting still seems to be system wide. However, squeeze for assistant is still working with the screen off. This has not been the case with any other immersive commands I've tried. So this definitely handles it a little differently. I'll test this for a while to see if I have any issues with screen not waking from sleep.

I couldn't care less if things get removed from play store, we can still sideload and I'm sure someone as useful as Navbar Apps would just move to XDA Labs if it got removed.

Which ROM has monthly security update?

Hi I'm using whyred redmi note 5 pro.
With miui 12.1 xiaomi.eu 20.6.18 beta and stock kernel.
Android 9. Orange Fox recovery.
2020-07-05 Android security patch level.
I liked to dirty flash because of only few steps.
Just download, flash, install magisk, wipe.
Then I can get new monthly security path.
I'm already used this way for almost 1 year.
Eu team stop weekly updating this device now so I just want to change to stable version.
But the stable Eu rom's update date showed in Eu website is not new.
So I want to change new rom with monthly security update.
Before doing this, do I need to change recovery?
I've heard about the difference between Android 9 and Android 10.
I really don't know how to join in,
I remember in Android 8 up to Android 9 I changed to orange Fox recovery.
Now so many roms in this forum is Android 10.
Is that easy from 9 to 10 from recovery wiping and flashing?
And which rom is your favorite and recommended?
I will try it in my leisure time. Thank you.

First of all, apology for my bad English. Need a lot of effort to understand my words.
I used miui 12 before. There are battery saver, permission controller, app behavior history

So you can give game app blank data to play game, find out why this hour battery losing too much,
reject permission asked too often and restrict background data uploading/downloading.
But all thing are gone in custom android 10 rom.
Gallery can't let you write down words or edit picture like miui.
I install few roms and share my feeling to you. My opinions are very personall.
Not suitable to everyone.

#gaaps check gaaps version. And I decide to use nano.
https://opengapps.org/
What I know is:
super: all thing
stock: like google pixel phone
full: like stock, but do not replace original app inside from google app.
mini: include google server framework and important Gaaps
micro: basic google server framework and few Gaaps.
nano: basic google server framework, you need to download google app from playstore.
pico: lose some data in google server framework, some Gaaps may crashed.
crDroidAndroid v6.9
My first rom, first thought is there is no fullscreen gesture?
This is my first custom rom, so a lot of thought between miui 12 and custom rom.
Volume bar too short.
https://imgur.com/a/x0Fmlzd
See that? My finger is too big that I can't see it. I can't see where I adjust. Just like asus rog 3.
Pick up ringtone music and plug in 3.5mm headphone.
Heard voice from speaker and headphone. Why??
Press volume down button and no AI choose which volume to control.
Volume control is a mess.
Android 9 to 10 is very smooth though. Easier than I think.
8/5 security patch. So I get my goal.
There are so many options and very cool design than miui rom in power button.
No night light to let me protect eyes.
Maybe I don't find it. Too many settings. And settings search is bad.
I try to open developer mode to use cmd.
In miui 12 press miui version few times then developer options appeared.
In android 10 is pressing that build number few times.
lineage-17.1
Second rom
Everything is the same as crDroidAndroid without its own settings to customize.
Volume bar is bad as crDroid rom and latter I find out all rom are the same.
No night light.
7/5 security patch.
pass!
Havoc-OS-v3.8
Power button's options is good as crDroid and lineage.
And all rom are the same power button, better than miui 12.
Night light tints screen amber. Nice
Back gesture will vibrate. I found it in Buttons&Navigation.

Default with no button press vibration. *thumb up
In other rom I need to turn off. EVERYTIME!!
Long press power button for torch.
Volume button wake up phone.
My redmi note 3 pro's power button is broken.
So I really need volume button to wake up phone to avoid that.
Double tap status bar to sleep. WoW~
Slide statue bar to adjust brightness. WOWWWWW~~~~
Power button is the same good. Support reboot to recovery.
Night light.
Lock screen shortcut support.
There is an charging animation but I don't see any animation when I plug in charger.
https://imgur.com/a/dZAvtxY
Ad block in settings?
Power battery saver is the same in these roms.
Only deny or accept. ??Miui has 4 options though.
And your turn battery saver on. Off is still there. bug?
And all roms has the same bug?

Volume keys wake device.
Battery charge animation.
Statue bar to sleep or control brightness.
Lockscreen shortcuts.
Dark theme like others. Furthermore, there is black theme.
Control quicksettings icon's color and adjust whole notification color.
7/5 security patch.
I think lineage rom is basic custom rom.
Aicp, AospExtended, ZenX-OS are more customize.
Black theme and color in notification are good, only this rom has black theme.
There are no 8/5 security patch and small windows.
Via browser installed. hmm....no thought.
Battery saver turn on and it said off. Still the same as others. Bug
Reboot to recovery in power button advanced options is not worked. Bug
Quickcharge setting or Smartcharge.
ZenX-OS 1.8[STABLE]
what's the difference between Gapps Version and Vanilla Version?
I choose Gapps Version.
Ok...so Google already install. What? Gcam installed already? wow~~~NICE!
Wallpaper use gps??? what's this permission ask?
Fullscreen gesture default. yeah
8/5 security patch.
Screenshot can partial or fullscreen or longscreenshot. WOWOWWWWWWWWWWW
Volume key wake up device.
Haptic feedback, vibrate when the back gesture is triggered, you can turn it off.
Ok...batter than Havoc-OS maybe.
Smart charging.
Prevent ringing, press power and volume up buttons to mute, no media.
Charging animation work and so many options.
Small windows.
Lockscreen shortcut.
Notification show battery temperature.
Advance reboot has an hot option. hot?? what is this option work for?
https://imgur.com/a/LdRpbCn
If you disable this you can get more screen view.
But I can't use back function.
And I will lose some view space. Worse than miui 12.
And now. I can't go back to eu miui.
Orangefox recovery can't restore my data.
I think the reason is android 9 and 10 maybe.
I will find some time to think about kernel or other thing to do.
ZenX-OS 1.8[STABLE] is my choice by the way.
If I said that no function in that rom, maybe I don't use it for 1 hour.
So I can't find it. Sorry about that.
You need to install rom yourself. Maybe I am wrong.
dfight said:
First of all, apology for my bad English. Need a lot of effort to understand my words.
I used miui 12 before. There are battery saver, permission controller, app behavior history
and internet tracking in miui 12.

To go back to MIUI use fastboot ROM and flash it with MI Flasher tool -- important or you can brick your phone !!
Most of ROMs are based on LOS ROM.
I'm happy user of LOS ROM (official).
I never use fingers on bars (like volume, etc..) I'm using buttons. You can even extend steps with easy hack (module).
Power button action is always settupable ( like long press on screen off is gonna turn torch on, run camera on lock screen, extended power menu, etc). Same vol+ and vol - buttons (wake up phone, take screenshot, etc). Well and much more. All under settings. You didn't use it long time couse you wanna MIUI experience on other ROMs. You can forget that. LOS is Android ROM without balast.
You can load apps later if you want (gapps, full screen guestures, dual apps, etc). Its up to user decision and habits.
Don't compare ROMs like you did. Try to use it at least 1 week and mybe you'll discover some of the magic of ROM. I saw module to make for vol bars horizontally and big as hell even my grany could see that..( mybe you can try xposed app gravitybox to adds some extra options).
Good luck.
Thank you to tell me that. I will delete miui backup.
When I want to flash phone, I need to adb cmd to order phone.
Then I faced this problem.
https://stackoverflow.com/questions...missions-request-settings-cant-verify-your-re
Then I turn of night light and hide gesture navigation bar then ok.
This problem is to wired.
So I need to make a decision between android 9 and 10.
Rotate landscape or portrait function is more good than android 9.
Show a small icon in right bottom, press to change.
Long screenshot in miui 12 always failed and bug still exist in beta until now.
So I'm very appreciated to XDA guys. Android 10 is more better.
I saw the screenshot package name is asus....uh?
Another problem is I can't use link2sd app to move user app to system app.
Link2sd is over.
It's just like you use Iphone before, and then you change to android phone.
You finally understand what is customizing your own phone, not stupid to use stock phone UI like Iphone anymore.
When I come to join in this android 10 custom rom party, I found out there are too many settings and I don't understand every options meaning.
So after 3 days I try it again.
https://ibb.co/wyJSwKw
I don't like this.
Why is there a space under keyboard?
Uh...This fullscreen gesture is so wired.
So I need to get a solution to fix this.
After 2 days using ZenX-OS.
Google news pushed a notification.
https://www.xda-developers.com/resu...android-10-xiaomi-oneplus-samsung-google/amp/
ok...that's try it.
Ui is like other lineage roms.
AudioFX app to control headphone I guss so.
8/5 security patch.
Build date Aug 19 2020 ? wow last week.
It's own settings is more good than others. I mean UI is more human friendly.
Yeah After so many roms I flashed, my brain is burning. Too many settings omg.
https://imgur.com/a/Noyu7nb
Just like this ui.
If you don't find some feature like 3 finger swipe down to screenshot?
In Resurrection Remix Version 8.5.8 you will find setting easily.
Just search screenshot.
Crdroid rom's ui is fine too.
And I find out how to fix keyboard and fullscreen gesture problem.
https://imgur.com/a/fxOtFFN
Thx god. We made it.
Finally when I key any words, no space under keyboard.
Why do we have two phone app? Plus recent app, we have 3 phone app here.
https://imgur.com/a/ex8Lyll
Bug?
After I flash Resurrection Remix rom, some shadow in screen while rebooting.
Just like amoled screen problem usually, But my redmi note 5 is lcd screen.
I choice lcd screen specially for this, so impossible happened.
Boot in system, than check screen is ok.
So this is a bug? I don't know.
The most biggest bug is.
After you use recovery, sometime phone will ask you to write lock pattern to start Android.
And Resurrection Remix rom has so tiny dot that too small so you can't draw pattern to unlock phone.
I just try it so many times to unlock. WTF !!
This rom is the most bug I'v ever seen.
Yeah in developer's eyes, it's not bug.
But to user, it's strange. Two phone app? Two clock app? Two browser?
Battery icon show strange dot? And latter I found out other rom will get this bug too.
https://streamable.com/y9vyco
Roms in XDA, settings just like something different parts and combine together.
It cost too much time for noob like me.
This rom is special. But bug is the most strange one.
After 2 days using ZenX-OS, app icon in status bar is wired, data transfer in usb to pc is broken, fingerprint is too difficult to unlock screen. Reboot into recovery to copy other rom.
Change to aicp rom to use
4 hours use.
Anything perfect, and you can block ad in settings, I try few websites and work very well.
there is a default music enhance app let speaker can not be turned to small voice.
So don't use it.
Fullscreen gesture under virtual keyboard can not be disable.
Partial screenshot is not worked. But it doesn't matter.
Change to SuperiorOS-Phoenix to use.
uh...pokemon pikachu voice after reboot phone. lolllll
Via browser.
Lawnchair launcher.
Fullscreen gesture default. But SuperiorOS even has no this option to hide gesture back function space in keyboard.
So...pass it.
DerpFest-10-Official-whyred-20200424.zip
Too old to me. Not new.
I think I need to find rom which I flashed before.
ZenX-OS 1.8 no gesture option like SuperiorOS so pass.
CrDroid has Pie settings navigation mode.
Just like I played it in Android 4.4.3. Or you can chose its very strange swipe up navigation gesture mode.
Havoc OS is like ZenX-OS and SuperiorOS no fullscreen gesture. pass
Try out pixel experience rom
PixelExperience rom.
Wow 08/21 update
Finally I got Hide the navigation bar pill toggle to off it.
And no space under keyboard. I got my goal.
You can't use wifi display aka miracast.
you can't screenshot.
Uh...why? I just Want this gesture
So if I want to hide bar pill I need to use rom with so many bad thing.
Pixel experience or Resurrection Remix 8.5.7.
I want to give aicp rom a try. I remember there is a option.
https://imgur.com/a/q9LiOre
No this hide region of back function in keyboard no worked indeed.
I...
I use Resurrection Remix 8.5.7 then.
Hope I can draw that small pattern to unlock...sigh
https://imgur.com/a/ZDs2tMT
See this? Who can draw it ?????
sigh
There is no shadow in screen before reboot this time. Thank god.
But still 2 clock, 2 contacts, 2 message, 2 phone.
I don't flash any gaaps.
It's flash super gaaps itself?
But I need fullscreen gesture. I choice this rom now.
https://imgur.com/a/WHq2Amf
Continue facing more problem.
Screen lock in NOVA LAUNCHER is easy.
I just set gesture to swipe up to lock screen.
And swipe up from bottom to call app drawer.
But now this problem below.
https://help.teslacoilapps.com/faq/gesture-navigation
So suck.
So my question is why I can use NOVA launcher in miui 12 android 9,
and now I can't do this.
Give it a try.
Move NOVA LAUNCHER to /system.
Then delete GOOGLE LAUNCHER in /system.
Guess what?
App switcher while you swipe up and hold function is not worked.
So the fullscreen gesture is in GOOGLE launcher.
OMG...
So how to get my goal. Lock screen gesture? Over here.
https://imgur.com/a/sci0quw
Set this to back gesture and hold for a while to lock gesture.
But I miss miui 12 feature that you can back gesture and hold to back to last app.
So strange. You can just copy miui 12 fullscreen gesture.
Then delete that two gaaps in Resurrection Remix 8.5.7 while they have 2 app the same.
Delete contact, browser, message, etc.
And OK now.
I am facing new problem.
Pressing power button to lock screen is work with instantly close phone option.
Back gesture and hold to lock screen to lock, 5 sec latter vibrate 1 time.
And if you let phone face you and lock screen, face unlock function will process.
So something inside cause this bug.
https://ibb.co/J28P5vz
Turn it off, then no vibration after screen off by back gesture.
But face unlock function still work.
Uh...No solution. I'm done.
That means every time I swipe to lock phone, Phone work for 5 sec for trying to unlock.
The one last thing I can't fix is when I use keyboard, try to use swipe space button to move cursor. Swith app function let whole Window follow my finger and want to switch app.
So I need to press more up a little to move cursor avoid that.
After so many problem in Android 10.
I'm OK now.
Still need to say, why Google don't just use miui 12 full screen gesture?
While I blame on Android 10,
off course Miui 12 beta is not perfect.
Long screenshot never work and they pretend the fuction is OK for almost 7 month.
Rotation feature is bad after experience Android 10.
Dark theme in gmail, Google assistant, Google play in Android 10.
I can get skip to direct unlock pattern in Android 10 now. I can just draw pattern to unlock. No need to swipe up then unlock.
I remember I can directly unlock pattern few years ago.
Now I get this feature back.
https://ibb.co/pzZ6t3s
Facing new bug. Turn on mobile data network then phone reboot.
Do not flash Resurrection Remix 8.5.7 if you want to try these bugs.
MSM Xtended XQ Release v12.5
Back gesture and hold to lock screen will instantly lock.
aicp_whyred
Corvus_v8.5-Sage
Keyboard the same problem. Space under keyboard.
EvolutionX_4.6 and Pixys OS Q
GJ toggle off IME button space and pill.
GO in Pixys OS Q rom then phone blink all the time. Uh...my eyes...
I look around then yeah it's cool. You can disable IME button space and pill.
My eyes....
So now we have pixel experience, EvolutionX_4.6, Pixys OS Q and Resurrection Remix 8.5.7 can do this.
Pixel experience no screenshot and miracast pass.
Resurrection Remix 8.5.7 bug too many pass.
Pixys OS Q blinking screen pass.
EvolutionX_4.6 can't skip notification to draw pattern directly, but it's ok~
Uh I have no back gesture and hold to lock screen or skip notification to swipe pattern directly features in EvolutionX from.
And even no record voice app in ROM.
What should I do. How to combine all feature in one from.
I remember Pixys OS Q has two rom to download.
So try to download another rom to use.
There are gaaps inside and the other is not.
Both are blink while I pull down notification.
So I need to decide which rom to use... Every rom has its own feature and I can't find the balance.
I'm curious for one new thing.
All these android 10 roms don't have MTP mode to link to PC.
why?
I use Masik P Port now thx all.
Masilk P Port rom can't use Wifi display.
Gonna find other rom to use...Uh...
2020 09/27
There are a lot of telegram channel. So many people help me.
Now I'm using panda kernel and resurrection remix 8.6.1
2020 10/11
8.6.2 resurrection remix 10.1 agni kernel 7.0 agni firmware
I don't like pixel launcher. But android 10 fullscreen gesture need it.
I use Action launcher v46. Try to replace pixel launcher.
But no home gesture and recent app gesture function.
Swipe up to home page, swipe up and hold to see recent app.
These both is only in pixel launcher.
Come on Google, the most important feature is third party launcher.
With thrid party launcher we can do our own style phone.
Now you tell me only pixel launcher can use fullscreen gesture?
Ridiculous "dock search box" and sucked "at a glance" let the whole phone stupid.
Very genius google. :/
