I just received my note 2 Lte from Rogers a few days ago. Then I realized a weird problem: there is no network signal during the sleep, and probable also when i am using Lte mobile data. I am in the area covered by Lte well, usually 4 bars of signal. My phone is now original, comes with 4.1.2, stock firmware, i haven't done any rooting or flashing yet.
Is there anyone having the same issue? Can anyone help?
Thank you so much
too update with more information, i attached another screen shoot. when i was using mobile data, the signal dropped randomly, too.
Check to see if any app like deep sleep battery saver is configured to automatically turn it off during sleep.

I am having the same problem as I changed from N7000 to N7100. I am considering going back to the N7000 if I can't find any help on the web.

Hi!
I've installed several custom ROMs on my Wildfire S. Jelly King, JellyFish, Marvellous, Sense 5, Speed Droid, MIUI, Paranoid Android, CM10 Nightlies, and other ones that now I forgot. On each one of them I have the same issue: When I turn the phone's screen off, after a while (sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes 10 or 15), Wi-Fi connection stops working, I stop receiving messages (WhatsApp, Facebook, GTalk, etc). If I turn on the screen, the notification bar shows that Wi-Fi is online and working, but it's not, i.e. I open GTalk and it's disconnected, I open a website and have connection error. I have to wait or turn it off and then on again in order to get Wi-Fi working again. On every ROM I tried I checked the Wi-Fi always connected option to be selected, so that's not the solution. I also tried various"keep wifi alive" apps, and no luck. Same thing happens with Mobile Data.
With stock ROMs, everything works perfect.
My radio version is the latest available (Radio_47.23g.35.3038H_7.57.39.15M), I updated it a few months ago. My original stock ROM was 1.76 version (Brightstar Personal, Argentina).
I want to know if this is a common error or if I'm having something wrong and it can be solved. I'd really appreciate any help to get rid of this trouble.
Thanks in advance!!

Thanks for aswering! I'm sorry if my english is not clear enough, but I said I checked that policy in every ROM I've installed to be always connected.
Any other ideas?

Already done that, tried five or six of those fixers or "keep alive" apps, nothing changed.

Yes, I think Mobile Data bug is one of the most important bugs of JB roms too, and It's usually ignored.
I have to try WeFi Pro for some hours or a day to say if it works or not. So tomorrow there'll be news
Tried WeFi Pro for a day, once or twice I lost connection as always. What could be done to solve this? I'm a developer but never touched nothing android related, maybe something can be done with source code.
Strange using this app I didn't had any issues...

On all 4.3 ROMs including stock wifi autoscanning is broken. It works for a while but after deep sleep it stops. This causes it to not connect to known networks and leaves you on mobile data unless you manually open the WiFi menu.

Really mine doesn't do that?
I'm on SlimBean Build 2 with Fancy kernel. No problems here with Wi-Fi that I notice. Maybe this isn't much, but I make full-use of Profiles such that my 'Home' profile turns off Mobile Data and turns on Wi-Fi.
This has happened on mine more than a few times. I'm not totally sure what conditions cause it to occur, but it definitely exists.
Two of us here at my office have this issue. Friday, I went back to stock 4.2.2 then the wifi was good again. Then Saturday, I let the phone update to 4.3. Wifi problem again. Today I went back to 4.2.2 again and the wifi is working again. I'm not sure why Google hasn't fixed this. Please do!
Maybe they did fix it already. Android 4.4 is already out.
Hi Guys,
Previous phones turned on wifi when I got home and turned off when I left home.
Now im having to turn it on / off manually, am I missing a setting or just stupid..........
Any help appreciated.
Wi-Fi control on this phone is a bit flakey. Use this app and your issue should be solved.

Yeah there are 3rd party apps knocking about but was hoping that I just missed a setting.
Tbh im astounded that this phone doesnt turn off wifi when out of range from my home network. Asus gave this phone every app known to man but cant auto turn off wifi ?
Cheers anyway
They will most likely fix it in an update. With early versions it would not even remember the Wi-Fi sleep settings.

I've never seen a built-in app to turn WiFi off when leaving a specific network.

My previous phone, Lenovo A830 had it, worked flawlessly, wasnt an app though, just a setting feature.
