Note II in short supply here

Went real early to my AT&T store here in St.Louis...and was told their shipment was still inbound...and most of all the other AT&T stores around here have none or only 1 or 2 to sell today...
Man...what a lousy way to do things for a launch day on a product...Someone screwed up big time...

seems like every store here has 20 (im in miami). I kinda regretted preordering

I wish I had pre-ordered, but I didn't think I was going to want it initially until I played with it at a local store. I have called over 30 stores in the NYC area (time to kill today). None of the manhattan stores have any. I have found a few in Brooklyn with white. Not titanium to be found.
I'll either wait till Best Buy has it or I'll wait till the next shipment.

I stopped by a Rogers store in Calgary yesterday and they told me that Rogers has only received 20 for the whole city so far! That is for a city with a population of 1.1M??? Very sad Samsung. You will never beat Apple this way!!

I don't know if this is Samsung's fault completely. It seems like Sprint here in America has them in stock all over the place, but I can't find them at AT&T. Perhaps Rogers and AT&T didn't order enough?

This is likely the case. Samsung hasn't listed any shortages of the note 2 and many Asian carriers got this phone by the droves. Sprint stores have a crap ton around Atlanta GA, but ATT stores have around 20ish (checked 2 stores) so it seems to be carrier orders that were low and not Samsung shipments.
Curiously ATT has had more growth in Online purchases than Sprint, so they may be trying to find a good balance between not over/under ordering at physical stores and relying on online purchases for the bulk of their shipments. I ordered mine from ATT online. Just thinking out loud.

I went to the Fenton store on Friday. They had 4.
With 6 people in queue in front of me, I asked the girl who checked me in if anyone else was there for the Note 2. She said no and agreed to grab one for me and check me out since I was buying it off contract.
I told her that there was another guy waiting on one (who I had met while wandering the store waiting). Hopefully he got his too!

Nassau New York, none of the AT&T stores have any yet...everyone I called kept telling me to call back in a few hours to see if the they got the shipment in. I got mine at a small non-corporate store on Friday, so if anyone around here is looking check out those little guys.

My salesman checked all of the St.Louis stores including Fenton since it's only a couple miles from Sunset Hills...they were out too...Have to wait and see if they are coming in on the truck today..My salesman will hold 1 for me along with what ever cases they have if they come in too..:fingers-crossed:

At&t in Secaucus Nj had both colors today. I'm in the best buy in woodbridge now waiting to trade in my old note for the note 2 here. Its the only one in the area that has titanium in stock today. Many stores are expecting shipment today or tomorrow though.

What about cases? They basically had only the flip cover last week.

Cleveland AT&T store had a bunch of them - I got the first one, straight out of the shipping box. I was the only one getting one that morning. It's strange how good AT&T is around here in terms of speed and everything, given what a medium market we are - must be the holdover corporate presence they've had here for years.

I didn't see any. I ordered a case from amazon previously that I'm waiting for.

I purchased mine from AT&T Roosevelt Field Mall. When I got there and asked, they said they only had 2 left and this was at 1pm. Before I finished my purchase, I heard another customer come in and ask for the other one.

The corporate store on Lindbergh in Crestwood...and they still didn't have any today as well...no shipment scheduled for today
They have checked the other stores stock via computer for me...and this is getting a little frustrating. How can you have a launch without enough stock to sell to the customers..I know I'll wind up getting one sooner or later...and as my good wife always tells me..." everything for a reason " but damn....this really aggravates me

Here in Portland, it is still coming to "select" corporate stores on the 8th. I just called and the guy said they have a bunch sitting in the store, waiting. Both colors. 16GB of course. The dummies have been there since last Wed.

i like seeing it in hand to look at it and feel if ill like it, i do think my s2 is great so id prob think s4 is great also

Here in Central FL the store I went into said it will be here on the 8th, and so my name is on the list....luck of the draw? Try finding a corporate store if your going local, they should get it sooner.

Like others have said if you want it sooner, order it online. I ordered mine a couple days ago and it's scheduled to be delivered on Wednesday. I live in a small town in CT so we clearly aren't priority on a device that is in such high demand. :silly:

Ordered 2 SGS4's, White Frost, from Tmo by phone Fri AM, took the 2yr installment plan. They didn't send the EIP document until this morning after I called. Original est. delivery was May 14, standard shipping...
Message from Tmo about an hour ago said my phones are on backorder, with no estimate on when they will be available.... *sigh*

When I ordered mine over the phone I was debating on waiting for an in store buy because I was told that the phones would be coming in to all T-mobile stores on May 8th and that all third party retail stores (walmart, bestbuy, etc) would receive them on May 15th. By "select" stores it supposedly means the T-mobile stores first. Now whether that holds true remains to be seen as the phone reps could easily be mistaken, but this rep seemed very assure of himself. I decided to buy over the phone anyway, should be getting in a day or two. I hope you all can get them this week

I *almost* did the online thing yesterday, but I've decided to wait til they get them in stock and demo models are available. I want to play with it a bit. I like the S3 because of the shutter-speed, so all this talk of slow shutter for the S4 makes me ponder whether I should wait til the S5 comes (next year, most likely).

Here's the thing with that. The best place to order is online, but you really have to be quick. It was on stock all of last week, and some people, including me, got it last week. It is now showing out of stock again (black and white), so you can't order online and definitely not over the phone. Those guys will tell you the same thing, won't be out until the 8th/15th/17th/etc.
For a brief moment yesterday, the black was showing as in stock so I went ahead and placed another order for the Black Mist. It was shipped last night and will arrive tomorrow. I'm pretty sure they are not all out of stock. You have to order Overnight Shipping when you order and you are nearly guaranteed to get it the next day, despite whatever the system says your estimate delivery date is.

I've called all the AT&T stores within 30 miles, both corp and resellers. Nobody admits to having any. Has anyone else found one locally here?

The Watauga store says they have them but can't sell until Friday. The other stores won't answer the phone.

please report back if you were successful in acquiring one. I preordered back on 9/25 but my order still says preparing to ship. Not feeling good about my prospects of having it this week if I wait on the preorder to arrive. Considering cancelling the order and trying to pick one up at a store. I'm in the Rockwall area, don't want to drive all the way out there if they aren't actually selling them.

I would like to know as well.. I work in farmers branch and called a few stores around here and I live in Bedford, called a few stores around there as well. All of them stated that they currently have them in stock, however they cannot sell until Friday.

same here. i've check the Mesquite, Rockwall, and North Garland stores.

Just got back from Addison. They have at least one White left. I did not ask for a total quantity, just if they had one and he brought out a gray and white, I took the gray.

Ok, but will they sell them? I called every AT&T store in and around Fort Worth. I SWEAR those two stores said they did not have them or they said they did but wouldn't sell. That's why I went to Addison yesterday.

Yes, my wife was at the Fort Worth store on Hulen, not sure the specific address or store but they would sell her the white one yesterday and said they would get black in today. I ended up going to the one by North East mall and was able to get a black(grey?) one last night.

Also, the salesman Ethan at Addison rocks. He took ownership of the old billing problem I had because departments won't talk to each other so he's heading it up as an AT&T employee.

I've seen some getting their replacements from Best Buy and a few AT&T stores seem to have received them this afternoon, but it seems they are in Maine and Virginia from what I've seen. Wish Verizon would jump on board! They should be pushing an update for the Verizon Note7 tomorrow or Wednesday too, hopefully its got some goodies inside it.

Yeah they told me a few days ago that they weren't expecting them for a few more weeks. I don't think the reps know wtf they are talking about sometimes. Gonna try again in the morning and see what happens

My manager friend whos at our reseller store said hes got as much conflicting stories as we do. He did say verizon did say its a one for all when they come in. So basically us exchanger have to be in comp with people who want to buy new ones. Which we discussed how bull**** that is. What he has done is made a list (of those whos called) and when they come in hes going to contact the exchangers and give them first crack.

I have read that the note 7 won't go on sale for new customers until October. Only exchanges till then.

I'm currently at our vacation home roughly an hour away from the nearest corporate store; been here all summer and had my original Note 7 delivered here when I ordered it online.
When I read here this morning that the VZW website was showing the Note 7 available for purchase, I called in to arrange for my replacement to be shipped to me. The Customer Care rep initially claimed that the phone could only be exchanged in a corporate store, but when I explained to her that I had spoken with 2 CC reps previously that had stated unequivocally that a replacement could be shipped, she did some checking and discovered that this was indeed an option.
As I write this, though, she's having an issue using my alternate shipping address (even though it's the same one the original phone was shipped to!), and is working with her manager to resolve that and will be calling me back with a confirmation number.
The replacement is shipping 2nd-day and I'm hoping to have it in-hand on Thursday.

I read that too yesterday but haven't heard anything to verify it. We just have to... As usual wait. ?

Just called no ETA on when they are getting any in.. My friend is a store manager for a authorized resellers that run by the cellular connection (all through the usa) and they have nothing.. Hes can't understand why they are not communicating to everyone except stores even his corporate stores friends dont know anything.

So I called Verizon again this morning, and she told me to call back tomorrow as they should be getting some in on the 21st. So hopefully tomorrow I can exchange it and stop worrying about owning a ticking time bomb lol

So how do you actually get through all the automated B.S. to talk to a person at the local Verizon

Hmmm I was able to order mine today, I also asked what I should do with the "bad one" they said to keep it as Samsung doesn't want them back...In my heart I feel this isn't true and I don't want to be charged for not returning the old one. Who else was told to keep the old one?

Looks like the promo isn't live yet but if I remember right, we needed to have the IMEI number to get the V20 headphone promo.

My rep, Denise, was great. she knew all info, had me order online, instead of on phone, saving me a service fee. She also informed me of how to order the Daydream promo via website.
As I am currently phoneless, and stuck in the dark ages (how did I survive the '70s and '80s) I too hope it ships ASAP

Yes, I'm on T-Mobile so just to make sure I got a version that supports the new bands, I decided to go that route. (That and I like the EIP option.)

Pre-Ordered Mine online today with TMO... The Pixel XL was tempting but I like the IP68, DAC, dual camera, and SD card slot. Hope to enjoy this phone for the 2 years and hope for a quick Oreo update to it.
I like that Google Lens from the event yesterday. I am wondering how/if that could be used on the V30. I'm not really into rooting it as I have Citrix Secure Mail on it for work...

Really disappointed with Moto on the updates, I know there must have been issues with 7.0 and the build for the Moto X... Oh well not my problem anymore!!

As long as there isn't anything weird where Lens requires something in Oreo, we will likely see Lens in 2-3 months. (Probably after the new year, if I were a betting man.)

No. Let us know if it has ADB flash commands with an unlocked bootloader. For the LG G6, T-Mobile/LG let the bootloader be "unlocked", but removed all the ADB flash commands. So, as of this date there's still no root, no TWRP, etc. for the T-Mobile LG G6.

I would bet they will do the same with the T-Mobile LG V30. Hope I'm wrong.

Woo hoo! Mine too! Unfortunately, my case won't be here until Saturday. I'm going to be freaking out until then. I've already watched a few videos of how well GG5 fares in drop tests. Won't get to run it through any tests until Saturday though.

Ordered mine first thing this morning... now says shipped via overnight delivery at Tmo. UPS has the label entered with tracking number. I assume I will see it tomorrow.

I called T-Mobile and customer rep gave me free overnight. Always call in. They also give free sim card instead of charging $25 if you need it.
My status just changed to SHIPPED!!!! Not sure if UPS will pick it up tonight though. Just label created and tracking number. I'm sure I'll get it by Monday.:fingers-crossed:

I called at 8am sharp and rep was not able to find the phone. I was on the call for 15 mins. Language barrier I knew right away was going to be a problem. I finally got pissed and hung up on her and called back. It was 8:30 by this time. Got a rep that got the order in. However, I have 10/5-10/9 with a status of processing. I have overnight shipping though. I'm pissed I won't have it for the weekend.

Yup, I also tried calling in right when orders opened and ended up wasting almost an entire half hour with someone who had no idea what I was talking about before hanging up and just ordering from the website. The front line reps these days are worthless on the phone and on social media.

I should have done online. I have been seeing where people are getting their phones today. I was wondering why I didn't get any tracking info. WELP....The jackoff didn't give me overnight, so it's comes on Tuesday. I called in to find out what she charged me for if it's not coming. The rep tells me the device isn't releasing until the 13th and when it ships on Monday, I'll have it Tues, which isn't the 13th. he also told me no one is getting them today. I told him he was totally clueless what his own company is doing and he's a supervisor. Ugh!

I guess it just depends on the rep you get on the phone. The one I spoke with knew all about upcoming phones, we talked about the Pixel launch while waiting for his computer to process. I checked status and I'll have my phone today!!! On schedule for delivery. I was not expecting it until next week. Weird how the local store rep told me they had them in the store but he could not sell one to me. That makes no sense. Call in they ship it but can't buy one in the store even though they have them in the back.

Totally the roll of the dice I have found after about 5 calls to them over the last month. 2 out of 5 times I got a smart and informed one. I suggest if you feel you are not getting anywhere with one of them, dont let them learn on the job with you. Hang up and call in again.

Ouch! That's just about the same experience I had last year with the V20 and T-Mobile. Rep that helped me didn't even offer overnight and some people were claiming that they were just upgraded to it. So I assumed I had been too. Then the forums started lighting up with people who had ordered getting shipping notices. At first, they were all times before my order time but then as the day progressed, it rolled well past me by hours. Calling in, I got the same run around as you did. Their processes for orders/upgrades suck! Supposedly once you order, you're locked into whatever choices you made. Which is asinine this day and age. I sent an email in that somehow ended up at the Executive Response division. Guess what I said wasn't really taken to heart though because I complained about pretty much every complaint I've seen surrounding this launch too.
