Hey All,
I was recently in a rush to switch off my phone but accidentally turned it on again...
So instead of waiting all the way through the start-up when the Samsung logo appeared I pulled out the battery and put it back in so it would switch off.
I only tried to switch my phone back on later at night, and realised it didn't switch on. I thought the battery was low so I left it to charge for a few hours...
Went back to check, the power charging indicator hadn't shown up and the phone didn't start either.
The wall power, plug and USB cable are fine as I tried with other devices but my phone just won't start
Its been two days and it still hasn't turned back on....
PLEASE HELP!!!

You've bricked it, probably.
Is there any sign of life? Can you boot into download or recovery?
You'll need to follow one of the bricked threads .......

Not that i can tell, tried charging no sign
Tried pushing power button and volume button with wall power and w/o but it wouldn't do anything.
I think that is what recovery mode is...
But what is download?
Also bricked is pretty serious....
Do u think the battery thing caused that?
What can I do now

Doesn't sound very promising. Sounds like a hard brick.
recovery is home/vol up/power
download is home/vol down/power
but if it's not showing any signs of life it won't be much help.
If you plug it into your PC does Odin detect it?
If not then sending it for jtag repair is your only chance
(unless your battery was run down past the point it can be recharged and that is why it seems dead)

I had a similar situation. No sign of life, no recharging.
However I managed to get it back to life by pulling battery and cable, and putting it back again while holding power (and maybe other buttons) pressed. Had to try some times.

Odin wasn't detecting it....
But
After I tried @sumeruter 's method my phone started vibrating in pulses and my computer said an unidentified device was plugged in

I've not found a one click solution, unfortunately.
The closest to a one click solution is doing a nandroid backup, I use TWRP. However it's not easy to extract single folders to reinstall photos or similar but is good to replace a whole chunk of your system if your phone is not working properly.
I use "my phone explorer" to sync all contacts, calendars, photos etc locally, ie without Google. It will also sync your photos, unlike most backup apps & works with Firefox & Lighting calendar, unlike most backup apps. I also use EasyBackup app. for added safety of contacts etc. but it, like must apps only backsup stock browsers bookmarks, calendars etc. Music I always only pull from my PC so that's backed up. The hard stuff is photos etc from mesaging/chat apps like Signal etc I basically do the following,
http://www.guidingtech.com/51900/backup-whatsapp-cloud-platforms/
So yes I make it hard for myself as I don't just back everything up to Google, just some things.

hi,
The something must be QLOAD_USB.
You have a hard bricked phone. Look for a debrick image for your phone and put it in sd card. Check the forum, you can find it.
I had the same problem, I can share the debrick file if you need it.
What is your phone model? and make?

So I bought 2 sgh-t989 at the same time... one for me and the other for my sister
she lives in another city but whenever we see each other, I've always tried to make sure that her phone is running the exact same setup as mine just so I can always provide "tech support" for her phone
anyway, she went on some trip and afterwards, she said her phone wouldn't boot up anymore
since she couldn't get a hold of me, she brought her phone to a store to try and get it fixed (bad bad mistake)
she left the phone at the store for a day to determine how much it would cost to fix it
after being quoted $100 for the fix, she decided it was too much to pay and just took her phone back
long story short... a week later, I finally have the phone in my hand... and this phone won't boots up, i've put in fully charged batteries and when I press (and hold) the power button, it does absolutely NOTHING... not even that initial vibration when it boots up
i've tried to plug it to the computer and it doesn't get recognize
its permanently off and i can't, for the life of me, figure out just how to even boot this thing into TWRP... just so I can attempt to recover her files
SO.... my question... is this truly bricked?
do I have to break the news to her that all the pictures she took on the trip is now unrecoverable?
plug it into the computer and see what it gets recognized as. if its qualcomm823830283203 some like that its hardbricked

I bricked my S2 last Saturday night, just got it back form Jtag service. Took a week and 28 bucks from the ebay vendor that performed the service.
Now that my phone is back to stock, can anyone help me to load TWRP again. I have odin, latest USB drivers, and TWRP for my phone...but cant seem to get to the ODIN restore screen on the phone.
Volume Up, down, left right, left right, A, B Start. Oh wait I think that was for contra.....
Please help to get me to the Odin load on phone.
I can then flash TWRP thru odin, get to TWRP and load my favorite ROM.
Any GURUS, Please confirm that this is right. I remember a complicated process when rooting initially, loading root file on SD card, similar process up down ect....
But since the rom I am flashing is already rooted, is it required to go thru the gyrations. cant I just flash TWRP and flash a rooted rom?

Just Odin flash TWRP and then flash your rooted ROM.
Download mode= Volume up + volume down + plug USB into computer.

I want to know if my phone is bricked, its a Samsung glaxy sgh-T898 (but from telus) i am using a cynagenmod custom rom 10
i was using it then it went idle then when i went to unlock it back, it shut off and started to repeatedly vibrate like a pulse
so i then did a battery pull and then it vibrate and the "Samsung sgh-t898 logo appeared" for a sec or 2 and the phone shut back off and did the pulsing vibrating thing
i got the same result when i plug it into the charger and computer, even plug it in without the battery in it and pulsing vibrating happen again.
ps this had happen in the past but the phone came on like after 5 mins of, its now been hours it wont come on just keep vibrating

Thanks for replying so quickly , i think you might be right about sticky power button, because when put in the battery the vibrates begins
automatically and then i try turn on then hold the power and volume keys it entered into download menu but for 2 secs then shut off again and begin to start vibrating(pulsing again)
so i guess the download menu means its not brick, will try suggestion once i get a proper torque screw driver

1.Remove battery while device is on 2.Leave battery out for 1-2 minutes. (I usually do 2 minutes to be sure)
3.Place the battery back into the phone.
4.Push in the Power button to turn on
5.Let device power on without holding any buttons as normal Once the device is on the home screen, you should no longer see Safe mode. Hope this helps, good luck.

I have the same problem, I got stuck in safe mode after replacing my cracked screen.
I did exactly what is suggested by 'kenxda33' above
and I did the following too:
1) Factory Reset from the settings menu.
2) Wipe Partition and Reset through recovery mode,
3) Upgraded the phone to Android 4.2.2 using Odin
4) Dissembled the phone and removed the volume buttons and switched it on.
and still I have the same problem,

Hi,
Did you find any solution for this problem...
Coz i am facind the same problem...
There is nothing we can do about it?
I'm having the same problem here and i've tried everything.
I've tried kenxda33 solution and it worked... until i rebooted my phone.
I've tried wipe all, reinstall my rom, install other rom (like CM 11).
Isn't there any softmod solution for this? Like, disable safe mode for real?
Can anyone post a screenshot?
And possibly the only solution in SC. But you could try flashing with a stock untouched ROM.

And coming tohe fact, i understand you are well aware of the device and android, so am not going to explanations. So to disable safe mode, usually, keeping the battery away for a minute or two will do the job. But i guess this is not the case you have.
Just Try, Turn the phone off.Turn it back on and hold the “up” volume button.if this dont work, try holding volume up and down simultaneously whilte switching on. This is used to enable safe mode.
If u are on JB when phone is on, press the power key and hold the Power Off button on the screen for a few seconds, and see something is happening.
Unfortunately, after switching to safe-mode, a restart should disable the safe mode.

A hardware problem may not cause phone to boot in to safe mode i think. If possible.. Carry it to a service centre.
May be, it's happening because of a kind of short-circuit. Once, I also faced almost the same kind of issue. In my case, almost 2 years ago, my old smartphone (GT-S6802) was again and again going into Download Mode whenever I tried to power on the smartphone. Then I took it to the SC. And they discovered that the reason behind it was an electrical short-circuit. They worked on it, and my problem was resolved. Therefore, I'd like to suggest whoever facing such issues, to take their smartphone to the SC and your problem will surely be resolved.
Solution found at last
Solution is here
So don't worry guys anymore
It's not a big deal as some of you guys say
I had my touch replaced n had the same trouble
I simply switched it off n interchange both sims with each other (means put sim 1 into the slot of sim 2 n vice versa.)
It became OK
U can also try removing Sim 1 n letting the slot empty n using only sim2 in its slot

Sheesh, I'm glad to be done with this!

Take out battery, connect phone to charger, you should see battery icon onscreen, put battery back in,phone starts charging, switch on.
So I'm trying to fix my mom-in-laws tablet - at first it was stuck at a reboot loop.
But once I managed to switch it off and charge to 100% it stopped looping, but only goes to the logo screen then switches off.
I experimented a little - and found out if I hold the power button, it will load to the home screen.
Now I tried doing a factory reset by holding power+volume down + home button > it reaches the reboot menu but I can't make a selection because once I release the power button it switches off.
Wondering if there's anything I can do? I'd rather not buy spare parts and open up the tablet - and I'd also rather not bring it to a shop..
Any help would be appreciated!
I have more new about this issue.
I found a hardware fix for this, but it requires some soldering skills.
It seems that power consumption is triggering the baterry power protection.
I manage to bypass the battery protection circuit on the battery and it solves the power cycles.
If anyone wants help on this, I will try do take some pictures.
I also re-solder the power connector on the table PCB because it is weekly soldered...

If you zoom in my picture from above, you can see the soldered white wires on the small PCB from the battery.

Thanks. I have a different tablet (SM-T800) and the battery looks different. How did you figure out the pins for bypass the protection circuit.

I'm an electronic engineer, working in microelectronics testing, specialized in Power Management
But at the end, if you have freaking shutdowns, I decided to replace a battery by a power source, and then came out with the Idea of bypassing the over current circuit in the battery. Just a multimeter and a soldering iron and that's it!

1.if I enter force restore mode and after taking my finger off the power button it shuts down.
if I have my finger on the power button and use the arrow button in this menu, it moves up - down.
2.if I turn on the tablet, the logo appears and after 3 seconds it restarts and keeps restarting.
3.if I enter the software installation mode, it successfully completes this process and if finished it restarts and returns to problem 2.

I don't believe your problem is with the battery. The random reboots because of the battery only occurs when the battery is not full. If you have a charged battery and the USB Power cable connected, it should not have random reboots.

I charged the tablet up to 100% and it does the same thing, it restarts after a few seconds! do you think this problem could be from the motherboard or do you have another idea?

Downloaded a link from this article on XDA https://www.xda-developers.com/pixel-6-november-update-fingerprint-bug-fixed/
but didn't realise they had posted the wrong link and instead used the link for pixel 5a. Phone will connect and disconnect whenever i press power button or either volume buttons. Tried the usual force restart and bootloader button but still black screen and laptop not recognising phone except showing as USB serial device briefly when it does connect

I was messing around with my 6 Pro and ended up in recovery mode. None of the normal button combos were wrorking.
I ended up holding the power button / vol down for nearly 30 seconds and it rebooted back to the fastboot/bootloader mode.
Not sure if this will help you but the usual shorter time needed to boot wasn't working for me, but holding for 30 seconds did.
Good luck!
You could always try Official Google Pixel Update and Software Repair or Official Google Android Flash Tool.
Also, always go directly to the source Pixel 6 Pro Factory Images, don't trust anyone else's links.
didn't work but i can see it connecting and disconnecting constantly. did you have the device show up as USB serial device. Also what kind of cable did use (usbc to usbc?)

You might want to "Reply" or "Quote" the person you're responding to, so they get a notification that they're tagged and know that you have a question for them. I assume you're responding to @Az Biker.
When you have it plugged into your computer, do you see it in Device Manager? USB-C <-> USB-C or USB-A <-> USB-C shouldn't matter, as long as it's the original or a quality cable (Anker or from a previous PIxel or other quality OEM cable).
You can attach a screenshot of your Device Manager if you're not sure what you're looking for.

No sweat! And it doesn't have an exclamation point through it's icon in Device Manager, right? (which would mean you need to install the latest Google USB Driver).

Are you able to shut the phone off? If so, shut it off, wait 10 minutes, then try it again.
Follow Google's instructions exactly on the Official Google Pixel Update and Software Repair or Official Google Android Flash Tool web page.
Try another USB port.
Try another USB cable.
If a desktop PC, try one on the back instead of the front - although I think this has been making less and less of a difference in recent years.
Try rebooting the PC/laptop.
Have a spare PC/laptop to try fresh?

Try just power button for 30-45 seconds.
Long shot idea here.
Plug the phone into the charger, see if you get a charging symbol (indicating it is off).
If no charging symbol, should indicate device is still on, allow battery to run out. After a day or two, start plugging in the device momentarily to see if charging animation comes up.
Maybe after shutting down/running out of battery, you can recharge and get into bootloader?
Like I said, long shot idea..
Best of luck!

I agree. I have definitely had to do something similar, I believe with my LG G3 once or twice. Had to turn it off or let it die, then leave it alone for a while. Sounds crazy, but whatever works...

When they switched to non-removable batteries and you had to let it die instead of simply pulling the battery
Good times

Thanks will try this. I have spoken to google to get a replacement but hopefully i can get this current one working again
This isn't the kind of mis-flash I'd expect a phone to survive. Pixels tend to accept whatever firmware you throw at them with practically zero version or compatibility checks. In your case, going from a Qualcomm to a Samsung bootloader is likely fatal.
I'm surprised it even shows a device. Maybe a rescue path, but I wouldn't even know where to begin with drivers if generics aren't good enough. If you aren't getting a "fastboot devices" response, that's game over. How did you flash this in the first place? How far did it get?
just a heads up, that link under pixel 6 pro Global is still incorrect and is pointing to pixel 5a

wasn't familiar with the p6 pro codename so when i used the link under the XDA article i guess i didn't pay attention to the name of the file. Lesson learnt
Reported it and it's fixed now.
@muzab a
Kindly share the hardware ID of the USB Serial Device.
Since the Pixel 6 family's Google Tensor silicon is somewhat based on the Exynos chipset, it could be possible to use the Exynos hard brick recovery method to revive the device (context: 1, 2).
If possible, initiate the replacement process. But discovering a community-supported method for unbricking these devices would be great. For your information, we never got our hands on the low-level firmware packages for the older Pixels with Snapdragon family of SoCs.
