Hi Developers.
This is my first post but I've used this forum for many devices before.
This is what happened:
Atfer update to android 6.0.1 (M), I got some "bugs" (freeze) after I tried to root the device (using this method). I failed the first time I got a bootloader loop. I googled it and found this method (same commands but adding a "fastboot splashscreen.img"), then my phone just got a blank screen loop. My next step was the xFSTK method (this one). My phone booted "normally" and then I tried to update it to 6.0.1.
After that, my phone just got stuck in ASUS logo. I tried the xFSTK method and in the middle of the Flash Tool process, I interrupted it, because it was taking so long. I tried xFSTK process again but I got a "FW+iOS failed" and the attached screen loop (like a broadcast tv).
Please... Help.
(note: I don't speak/wrtie english very well. I hope you guys understood me)

Solved, thanks to sukhwant717 for his post
And his quote:
those who are not able to keep device connected. take care of few steps
1. in xFSTK option menu change the flag override value to 0x80000807 not 0x800000807 ( don't forget to click gp value over ride)
2. while connecting to xFSTK attach usb to computer. hold power button for 20 seconds to make sure it power downs completely. then hold the power button down and click power button. wait till device vibrate or computer makes detection sound. leave power button but keep holding the volume button for few seconds

Hello everyone,
I am looking for help for my WS003SH. I did a hard reset yesterday after I was suddenly unable to browse anything on the device - only on the miniSD card.
So I did what some member here explained - hold the Reset button for 15 sec., then press Fn+F+PWR.
So when I started it it was all in Japanese but the Start button and clock and battery indicator etc were missing and the device Windows button doesn't work. The screen is not responding properly, only the keys work; the camera won't start either. So I don't know what to do.
I tried adding the Start Menu and Startup folders via ActiveSync but this idn't help either.
I am thinking of reflashing Windows but unsure about it all. Any help would be most apprecated!
Here's what it looks like now:

Thanks! Problem has been sorted (with your help of course).
It appears I did not properly do the hard reset - the instructions given by SOLIDGOD at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=378883 were not exactly correct.
So, for anyone who might need to do a hard reset, here's how to:
1. Open back cover,
2. Remove battery - not entirely, just the connectors,
3. Press reset button,
2. Place battery back - DO NOT release reset button,
3. Hold reset button for 15 seconds,
4. Power up device -- no need to press Fn+F+PWR -- just the Power button.
In order to properly hard reset your device, whatever make it is, it needs power, which you don't have if you take out the battery. Which was what caused my problem with the missing Start menu.
So, enjoy!
Hi cheeseus
I encountered the exactly same problem as you did, and I followed your instructions step by step, but it didn't help. The start menu is still not there, Can you tell me how you solved this in detail? Thank you very much!
Problem solved with the help of Cheeseus, forgot to mention it here.
There are times your Galaxy Y may start causing you problems such as hangs at certain points, apps force-closing, not allowing you to move forward and so on after installing a faulty app.
If you didn't know, Android can also be booted into Safe Mode just like how you boot your Windows PC and the main point of it is of course for troubleshooting issues. Thanks to Safe Mode, you will be able to uninstall unresponsive apps and fix your phone.
Procedure:
First Turn off your phone
Start the phone normally
You will see the Galaxy y logo
Just after it disappears...hold the menu key
Dont let it go until you feel a small vibration followed by a slightly bigger vibration
You have successfully entered Safe Mode

btw good guide
Hey guys,
I was just doing the process to flash the pre rooted update, I used the AFTV Utility.
The steps:
1 - Unlocked bootlader OK
2 - Changed the bootloader OK
3 - Change recovery PROBLEM
After I changed the recovery, it restarted and now hangs at white logo in startup. Tried the print screen/sys but nothing happened, the funny thing it's that it seems not to be powering USB connection since the keyboard just doesn't even light up or any of the leds when connected (like the num lock led).
Thanks in advance for any help.
The same thing happened to me with I used the AFTV utility,
Yeah I think it's bricked. I returned it for a replacement then manually rooted/unlocked/rboxed following the AFTVnews guide and and it all worked.

Snap to the above.
Tried following the method outlined here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2799779
However I'm not getting any power via the USB at all so can't use a keyboard.
Any ideas?
Can you guys who've bricked plug a USB device in and have it powered?
Cheers
Can someone help me get into recovery mode on my Verizon G4? I want to clear the cache.
I have read to turn it off, then press & hold Power and Volume Down, until the LG logo appears. Then release only Power, then press & hold Power again, until the recovery screen appears. And I'd swear I'd gotten in this way on a previous Verizon G4.
But I can't get it to work on this phone. Either on software 610B, or having just upgraded to 611A. It either just boots up normally, or if I keep holding Power, it seems to just reboot again.
What am I doing wrong? Sorry for the basic question, but I've tried it a bunch of times, with no success.

It's probably the same as the g3. I would just hold volume down and power until the stock recovery popped up. Not letting off at all.
That did it, thank you! That was easy. And this was different than what I had read elsewhere.

I originally read the way you described first for my g3. So you can only go with the info given. I just happen to figure out just holding them works best. If you have root access just get quick boot from the play store. Makes it easy to get into custom recovery.

Soft-Bricked
UPDATE : I fixed this by using http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...orial-how-to-flash-factory-images-lg-t2713833 thanks to whoever tried helping or did some research
Okay so, I was fiddling around with some applications - user installed ones. Then The device blackscreened I though no biggie It just locked then it went into the boot animation so I waited a few mins then I realized I had softbricked my phone. Now I have a tot file, I have no recovery installed, I was about to install recovery the next day. My device specifically is the E98020h AT&T model. I was not flashing any roms of any sort I have tried flashing stock ROMs to get out of the softbrick and I am a "newbie" to flashing ROMs and Kernals. But most of the guides on here for my phone the links are dead, and the links for the pictures in the tutorials are also dead. Thanks for your time. I would appreciate any help or ideas. Thanks.
Note : I can get into download mode, I have tried Hard Factory reset I get the infamous Boot
