not getting into recovery mode - ZenFone 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i was updating the zenfone 551ml to marshmallow so manually downloaded the update file and put it in the root of phone. phone detected the file and said to install update. firstly it was installing but after few minutes fastboot mode displayed on phone by itself and phone struck in it only no other screen came.
now i followed this guidehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/guide-brick-soft-hard-bricked-zenfone-2-t3284256
and used XFSTK load Downloader v1.7 downloaded the three files and clicked download in xfstk.
it completed sucessfully.
now my phone booted up on its own and is working fine.
but not able to get into recovery mode as before power+ volume down does not work, if i go to fastboot mode using power+ volume up key and select recovery mode the phone reboots back to andriod os.
Also tried to flash using the Asus flash tool but the device is detected for a sec and then diappears under device manger as moorfiled device.

How to Enter "Recovery Mode" on Asus Zenfone 2
Turn Off your Zenfone 2
Hold Power button + Volume up
When the phone is vibrating release the Power button
Then the Display change like this
You can select "Normal Boot" or "Recovery Mode" by pressing Volume Up/Down, to enter Recovery choose "Recovery Mode"
Then you will see sleep Android Robot, Press Power button and Volume up, after one second release the Volume up
You will see Asus Zenfone 2 Recovery Mode
after that follow these steps and BOOM BAM !! I DID IT
Download and Install ADB and drivers on your PC.
Download the latest Stock ROM from the Asus website by visiting the following links. If your device got bricked after a recent OTA software update, wait a few days while Asus uploads the latest Stock ROM. On the page below, select Android as the OS and then expand the Firmware section. For non WW devices, please check your regional Asus website for the download details.
Zenfone ZE551ML Stock ROM
Zenfone ZE550ML Stock ROM
Copy the downloaded Stock ROM to the folder where you installed ADB (Generally C://adb)
In power off state, press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power Key till the phone vibrates. Release the power key at vibration, but keep pressing the Volume Up key. Wait for the phone to boot into fastboot mode.
In the fastboot mode, keep pressing the Volume Down key till you see Recovery Mode. Press Power Key to select it.
In recovery mode, select Apply update from ADB.
Connect your phone to the PC and open the ADB folder. Right click while holding down the shift key and choose Open command window here.
Pass the following command in ADB. Replace file.zip with the name of Stock ROM zip (eg: UL-Z00A-WW-2.19.40.22-user.zip) downloaded in step 2.
adb sideload file.zip
Wait for the process to complete as it will take a couple of minutes.
Reboot the phone when it is all done and hopefully your Zenfone 2 will be boot up fine, alive and working again.

Does the zenfone2 have a fastboot mode to flash the firmware manually because flashing Ota updates bricks if you never unrooted you phone. So you should just flash the firmware you were already on then unroot then flash the Ota update

adb is not able to detect my phone. is there any other way to flash the phone ?
and i am just a bit curious to know if its possible to directly flash the phone with CM12.1 without having to go through all those steps (installing the older version and unrooting and installing the OTA) ?

Can't flash new recovery or exit bootloader

Hi, I use a Asus Zenfone 2 ZOOAD
A few days ago I decided to flash the CM13 (Marshmallow) ROM on my phone. My phone is rooted. Anyway, when I tried to enter the recovery mode using the bootloader screen ( I selected "recovery mode" by using volume up and down) I couldn't do it. So, I decided to use the adb method. I'd already done it to put the Xposed Framework. So I connected my phone to my Windows 10 laptop and tried to enter recovery. Same story. It got stuck on the bootloader. I even tried flashing the custom twrp recovery; twrp is getting installed (or so it shows on the command window) but I can't enter the recovery mode. Worst part is I can't even boot into my normal screen. When I connect my phone to my laptop, it's detected but when I try to use adb it says "device not found". I am able to execute the fastboot commands though. But all in all, I can't get out of the bootloader.
When you are in bootloader you must choose recovery then agreed (ON OFF Button) then when it reboots : "VOLUME UP + ON/OFF" *click several time*

Can't get into Download mode

Edit: I somehow could reach to fastboot mode and flashed laf.img to recover download mode but I get a boot certification verify error. I can access the phone and recovery but cant access download mode.
I decided to upgrade to MM from LP using kdz method. However I could not boot into download mode with any method. The phones just reboots normally. I tried hard button(volume up and connecting to pc), I tried adb reboot bootloader, I tried to reboot to bootloader from twrp and none of them worked. In every method I used the phone just reboots normally.
I have root + twrp with stock 5.0 rom. Any help appreciated, thanks!

Lenovo TB3-730X keeps rebooting and can't enter recovery mode nor connected to PC

Hi all,
I have a Lenovo TB3-730X tablet.
Recently I wanted to flash a custom ROM but it turned out it was not compatible and the tablet was messed up.
What I did before reaching at this messed up state was:
1) Flash TWRP recovery
2) Copied the custom ROM into SD card and installed it, the installation failed and boot failed. The tablet stuck in the logo screen forever
3) I tried to install the stock ROM back using PC and SP Flash Tool but the latter never managed to connect to my tablet.
4) I manually copied the system.img and boot.img from stock ROM into SD card and tried to install them manually using TWRP by selecting "System Image" and "Boot" partitions respectively. After this and before rebooted the tablet, TWRP reported that "No OS is installed". I went ahead and rebooted the tablet anyway and now it keeps restarting. It shows the logo screen for few seconds and then restarts over and over again. I cannot connect to TWRP recovery mode anymore as the Volume-UP / Volume-DOWN + Power button are being ignored. I am not sure if the TWRP was gone after flashing the boot with boot.img. Also the tablet cannot be connected to the PC at all because it keeps restarting and it doesn't get stable to the logo screen as before so that the USB connection cannot be established. This means I cannot use "adb" from PC to connect to recovery mode using "adb reboot recovery" command
I really stuck here and would appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance!
