Any way to boost the volume on HTC 10. Tried to adjust mixer paths. No change. Maybe different for HTC 10. Which files need to be changed?
I think ElementalX kernel has volume gain control with the paid app.
Only know of headphone gains currently available.
Although, I could be wrong.

I've tried to increase volume the android app volume+, but it didn't increase nothing....... how can i set it to obtain maximum and best sound?
my htc one x isn't unlocked and rooted, if i unlcock and root it i will obtain anything for my problem?
thanks to all
Hi, I bought Volume+ and it does increase the volume but I get some popping sounds with the speaker which is slightly annoying.
Go to either Speaker Settings/Headset Settings/Bluetooth Settings
Then Enable/Tick the Audio Modifications option
Then one down it says Simple Volume Boost
Change the 0 to something like 8 and back out, don't need to save.....
Mine is locked not rooted on 1.28 firmware with Three mobile UK....
You could try restarting the phone afterwards if that does not help you.
Can anyone try to get this working on our device? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2442883&highlight=speaker
for the speaker and headphone output volume this can increase the volume in our speaker or headphones or lower it.
Download Trickstermod in the Playstore and get the pro key for it. It has an option to increase the volume output for everything, right down to which side, left or right individually. You must be rooted though.
Also this wouldn't require porting at all. However the correct file that handles the volumes would simply need to be located but more than likely will not be the same name. I'll look into it tonight.
Hi,
I find that the headphone out on the HTC One M8 is actually too loud. When I am in a quiet environment, level 1 is still too loud for my in ear monitors. Any way to decrease the volume?
The 30 step volume mods don't actually do anything. Visually you get 30 steps but the actual changes in the volume occur every 2 or 3 steps, so there's really no difference.
Thanks!
You can install elementalx kernel&ex kernel manager and there u can lower the headphone gain
The lowest possible volume setting (before silent of course) on the M9 speaker is too loud for me. Is there any way to lower it further? Is there a specific file that controls the volume that I could modify?

Yeah, I already have it on Music mode. Still way too loud.
There must be a config file that has the sound levels in it that we can edit, no?
I just looked at Dragon-fi Audio, thanks. It seems like that has many more modifications that what I'm looking for. I just need a way to lower the sound level of the minimum volume.
you can edit a file called something with mixer_path.xml . but i forgot which exactly it was.. but yea Dragon-fi is really nice and awesome and really helps with static noise on m9...also anything else is much more improved *_*
As the title says, does anyone know of a way to add volume steps to the OP3? I am using OOS and have added 35 steps to the media volume using GravityBox but I can't find any Xposed modules or zips that increase the steps for notifications & call volume, I find both to be really loud and I don't want to use the slider to keep the phone on permanent silence.
No one has an answer for this? There's an Xposed module that will increase volume steps, to make it louder. But nothing to decrease sound.
Volumesteps+ works on my vzw HTC 10 I increase it too 15 now the in call volume is loud as hell

I wanted to decrease sounds. I found a solution, I just pulled the .ogg files and manually lowered the decibels, changed permissions and I was good to go.
With xposed there is a tweak
VolumeSteps+
Works for me. More steps. First less loud.
