Hello, everybody.
I don't know how, but suddenly my phone became kinda weird. The letters on the screen have some "edges". I really don't know how it happened.
See the attached screenshots. Hope someone can help. I really appreciate.
Stock Nougat (Agoust security patch), TWRP, root and using Franco Kernel.
Any tips or ideas?
Best regards.
Edit:
Just found what is the problem.. Somehow the option "Text in contrast" was ON, in Settings > Acessibility.

After rooting I noticed red lines flashing briefly on the edges of the screen when switching apps or when the phone looks to be doing something. Anyone else seen this or have suggestions what it might be? I have tried to switch off the Enable Strict Mode, which is what I thought it might be to no avail. It is very annoying and has only happened since rooting this device.

UPDATE: Ok I just did system restore and that solved the issue. Just needed to reinstall all the apps.
I guess you enabled one of developers tools.
Some kind of "Flash screen when screen updates"
turn dev. options off
Hey guys, im kinda new here, i've lurked and gotten help but this is my first post.
I was using Call&Note Recorder for a few days, everything worked super well was recording everything and all that, but last night i noticed that the icon wasn't in the notification bar up the top. So i went into it, reactivated it, but everytime the screen goes off, it disables it again, whether its from locking, or putting it up to my ear.
This (of course) is really annoying, i don't know if anything else is broken as this is just the start, but i don't know what i did in the last few days that i could of broken it. I did install Xposed framework and Keepchat, which didn't seem to work for me, so i've since uninstalled it. Besides that i can't think for the life of me what could be causing it.
So i am hoping someone here knows, and might be able to help without having to restore it.
Thanks in advance. Scott.
EDIT: ok it happens with Dropsync as well, if i start a sync and lock the phone, it shuts it compleatly down. I really need help
EDIT 2: Was unable to get into recovery either, the Galaxy Note II logo would come up and then fritz out and reset, and just keep doing that over and over. So currently re-installing stock firmware with odin, in the hopes that i fix it.
EDIT 3: When i flash the stock firmware, everything works as it should, if i reroot it, the same problems arise. Things turn off when locked and no able to enter recovery. I really hope someone has an answer for this, as its driving me insane working it out.
Is there ways to check what i've installed root wise and uninstall it?

Hi,
I have similar problem apart that the lines are in shades of grey.
AFAIK this could or should be caused by some problems with the display drivers in our ACE2 (two different drivers available WS2401 and S6D27A1).
However... while it has been reported that S6D27A1 causes the problem with the "black screen lock bug" and you need to either keep relocking or flash the kernel with the driver for S6D27A1... I seem to experience the same with the WS2401 driver...
Does anyone else have the same problem with WS2401 driver (and obviously WS2401 display)?
I don't have the problem on stock GB or stock JB (apart from the leak which aparently has "something wrong"
Probably its kernel problem, but.
I was have two times this (back lighted screen with greyed lines when wake up'ed device) and to test something, I'm removed from system/lib/hw/hwcomposer.montblanc.so (or you can just move up it to system/lost+found directory, just in case) and added to system/build.prop this line:
debug.composition.type=gpu
And wakeup time was less now, and doesn't expect "black screen bug"...but this is only solution which may help for you, I didn't expect from long time this bug and have WS driver.

@PolishVodka - Thanks! I'm just testing your hint at the moment. Wakeup time seems to be improved - as for the "black lock screen with bla bla bla bla" need to wait several hours as it appears few times per day but not neceserily "on demand" (P.S. Stary! Jak zadziala - wisze Ci dobra wodke!
Unfortunately this still did not fix the issue - the wakeup is slightly faster indeed but the "black screen with lines" occurs all the time every few hours (sometimes every attempt to unlock).
Any other ideas how to fix this?
Recently I found kernel for KK by PolishVodka and (as for now) it seems to resolve the problem (but I'll wait for couple of few days to find out if there won't be any "Gray lines strike back"
I described everything in the thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-ace/ace-2-help/black-screen-bug-ws2401-lcd-ace2-t2972752
Hi, I'm new to the forum.
I installed
[ROM][LOS][OFFICIAL][7.1.1]Resurrection Remix-N OnePlus 3[26/01] by sud.vastav
and it works very well at the first look. But sometimes when i try to unlock my phone (Oneplus3) with the fingerprint nothing happens. Then i have to tap it for 3 or 4 times and then it will unlock. There is no wrong finger or something, it just does nothing.
At the next time it works fine and without problems. I have wiped the phone completely and flashed it again, but its the same.
Does anybody know a solution?
Thanks
Its a ghost bug. I was looking for days for answers, maybe someday it will be fixed. What about the FW+Modem?
Can it depend on what kernel do you use?
I can not post a link to a pic
Baseband: MPSS.TH.2.0.c1.9-00078-M8996FAAAANAZM-1.81324.1
If that's all I can live wth that, because I realy like this rom

I have flashed now the ElementalX Kernel, but still the same, sometimes it will not unlock. Specially when i get a notification and i wanna unlock the phone. So It has nothing to do with the Kernel.
If someone has a solution i would be happy about it.
And by the way,
what camera apps are you using?
I opened the camera and sometimes it dont works, when i press the home button i see the camera on my homescreen. Now I installed "Open Camera" --> no problems any more

Hello everyone. Since the update through OTA to version 10.3.4, I am presenting several very rare problems, which had never happened to me before. One is that the smartphone now has ghost touches, but it is in a specific area of the touch, in my case it is in the lower right part of the screen and the other problem is that I already have the gestures on the screen activated, this is blocked by moments and does not react to me to return or go home and I have to lock and unlock it to make it work again. I already tried the factory reset and it remains the same. I would like to know if something similar happened to someone after updating to that version. Thanks in advance and excuse my bad English.
I am having the same problem in the middle of my screen. Did u find any solutions?
Yes, Bro.
The lag in gestures is normal. This is a bug in MIUI. Just use Bottons in screen and the problem is solved.
The ghost touch I never have this...
