Just put CM11 on my Ouya using S-config's guide. All went smoothly.
So far, the issues I've seen:
-Can't pull down status bar on full screen apps. This would be useful when I'm trying to use something like tincore to set touch screen locations to use with apps that have virtual controllers (i.g. Arcane Legends...).
-Can't get a location to set. Google play store won't let me download certain apps. Tried Fake GPS (although I really don't want to have to do that...) but to no avail.
Any idea what to try next? I thought the status bar could be pulled down from full screen apps in KitKat and beyond? Is there another CM version I need to download? Are later versions even compatible with the Ouya?
Thanks in advance!

How to hide status bar
Great thanks it worked but this leads me to another question. Is there a way to temporarly hide or make transparent ISC status bar. This would come in handy while playing games but most importantly while wtching movies. Most of them do not need that because they thiner than 720 pixels but mowies with exact 1280X720p a cropped on the bottom.
Plese let me know if there is a way.
Ps. I would be nice to set button maybe longpress recent apps (the one on the right) to show and hide status bar.
Sorry for double post but i have noticed a new problem. I dont have a YouTube aplication and i cant download it from adroid market. Can someone share a newest apk file with tablet support. I wuld be greatfull.
So I have a unlocked Fire Phone, running 3.6.8 that came shipped.
I was going to follow the guide here to turn it into a normal Android phone (http://forum.xda-developers.com/fire-phone/general/guide-make-fireos-looks-feel-normal-t2898921), but noted that I will not be able to since I have 3.6.8 (please correct me if I'm mistaken). I ended up following this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/fire-phone/general/fire-phone-how-to-install-google-play-t2977237) to get Google Play Store running nice and smoothly, and installed the Google Now Launcher since I can't stand FireOS.
However I noticed that after setting Google Now Launcher as the default launcher, the status bar up top is no longer visible, so I dont see information such as notifications, battery. time, and etc, unless I pull down the notification center.
Has anyone else experienced this? If so how were you able to correct it?
Try going into settings, display, hide status bar and make sure your status bar setting is set to on. Might be as simple as that

Ah that was it. Thank you!
Do you by any chance use any sort of on screen nav buttons? I've yet to find one that works well with the GNL.

Damn, I feel like an idiot. I've been running without the status bar for a month. I had no idea it was so simple. You made my day,
My wife got a new Fire Phone running FireOS 4.6.6. I rooted it, installed Google Framework and Google Now launcher. At least most seems to be working quiet nice (still some things bug me, like Facebook not working, you can't install Amazon Underground, etc.). Concept of many things is nice - but often not brought to an end..
Now, I am stuck with a problem where I couldn't find an answer (at least not one I can accept, hehe).
When I receive a notification from e.g. Whatsapp or Telegram, it won't show up as a symbol in the notification bar. When I drag down the bar, I see the stuff like "Message received" etc. But it won't show me something when I am looking at my home screen or the lock-screen. Can't you see with just a short look that you've got a new message? Do I always have to pull down the notification bar?
Even system status messages aren't shown. When I connect the phone via USB to PC, a stock android shows me this neat little graphic that the connection is established. With FireOS - nothing
Read this thread here and tried this NotifierPro, Floatify, etc.
But it's not as small, fast and nice as the stock android thing.
The thread there is almost a year old, so has something changed lately? Any way to use the notifcation bar like I used to know?
Or maybe there is a nice Xposed module??
fire os does not support status bar notification's icons

What a pity..
Any way to achieve it with an Xposed module? I think the icons could be done in an overlay or something, or is this no alternative?
For the moment I am using Floatify.. I think it just takes some days to get used to it
Hi, i played around with the freedom os rom, but some things I didn't like. So I flashed back to official.
Now when I play Pokemon Go the statusbar is complete black (attached screenshot).
Also when I start the game. There are a notification for like 1sec that "immersive mode is activated, swipe down to deactivate". But I can't do this, because the statusbar is already there.
Anyone also got this problem?
I think I remember that the game was full screen with status bar and navbar as Semi-Transparent.
Appreciate any help
Edit: can someone who doesn't changed something on there OP5T just start PoGo and take a screenshot?
Edit: just found the Option Settings>Apps>Fullscreen Apps
There was a 16:9 compatibly mode activated. I don't know why.
Now it works like it should.
I have A Pixel 2 XL. It is up to date with all patches installed. No custom ROM. I am using Nova Launcher.
About a week ago, a persistent floating circular search icon appeared on my home screen. As I swipe from screen to screen, the icon goes with each screen.
When I tap the icon, it expands to to a transparent search bar showing the bing icon. I can type into the search bar, but it does not link to any search engine. It does nothing. I can type in another search term with the same result.
When I tap the arrow at the end of the search bar, it reverts back to the circular icon.
I can move the icon around the screen. If I tap and hold the icon, instead of giving me the opportunity to delete it like with any other icon, nothing happens.
I've deleted all Microsoft products except Office, refreshed the cache, run AVG Antivirus, and still nothing.
Nothing obvious shows in the Apps and Notifications area.
I'm wondering if it's related to Nova Launcher, but I can't see anything obvious in the settings.
I'm totally mystified.
Any ideas?
Alright, so here we go.
First I'd like to state that any antivirus on Android isn't a bad idea per-se, but with Play Protect it is pretty pointless. All apps are verified upon downloading them from the Play Store. Apps like AVG and Avast are renown for collecting data that they shouldn't be and add a lot of unnecessary features on top. You wanted an antivirus right? Not some app that can also detect through deranged means when your password is being used?
If you want something more effective (totally not an antivirus though), there is SD Maid. It will remove any files that are left behind by other applications, and clear out deprecated databases that are no longer being used. That's all it has ever done, and why I went out of my way to support the developer in their initiative.
Now, on to that bing search bar. I'd imagine that if the only MS app you have installed is in fact office, it may very well be the source of it all. Another possibility is an invasive application that might have been installed after allowing the installation of unknown sources.
Are there any apps you installed outside of the Play Store?
i dont have nova laucher, but i got the same problem.

I think this is malware / virus.
open google play store, click the uninstall button in any application that you have installed.
this search-floating-icon automatically disappears, as if it was also uninstalled.
then 30 minutes laters its appear again..
dammmn @#$%^&
I have the same problem on my samsung tablet and I share your frustration. I think it comes with the software upgrade...chrome version xxxxx143. The icon temporarily disappear when you do an apps force stop but it comes back again. I have chrome on my other android devices but not this latest problem.
Can you post a screenshot of this thing?
Figured it out
Faced the same problem. It was an app Free VPN proxy master com.free.fast.master.unblock.proxy.vpn
After its removal button disappeared
