It's anyone else having issues with the Kindle app? Mine is freezing, crashing, and not signing in to my account or syncing. Thought I had it worked out after clearing data and deleting device from my account, but a few days after signing back in and it's messed up again.

I use the Kindle app regularly (at least a half hour per day, multiple times per day) and haven't noticed any issues.
Same - I use the kindle app, but mine is based on the Japanese store. Not sure if that makes any difference.
So weird, I still can't get it to work. Tried deleting some devices from my account, no change. Cleared data, reinstalled, installed from either the Amazon app or Google play, all no joy. Was working on Note 4 and is still working on PC and tablet.

I use my kindle app a ton - not a single issue with mine on the N7 (or any other device in the past for that matter). Odd that you are having issues with it.
So I found a solution. Uninstall all Amazon apps, clear the data and cache for the built in amazon app, reboot, then reinstall Kindle app. I found I was having same issue for Amazon Music, this fixed that too.

Ever since the latest update, well actually since the old version started asking me to update, the amazon appstore has been in the top 2 apps for battery usage. I don't remember this being the case before.
Just me?
Disable notifications and automatic updates, seems to have no effect after that

I haven't had it with Amazon Appstore but I've had it with random apps here and there. Generally something gets hung up in the app and keeps it running in the background. I've found that clearing the cache (and in some cases clearing data) will fix it.
Good luck!

Thanks
I cleared cache, uninstalled, and reinstalled fresh and that fixed it.
The app itself is much more responsive now, was really really laggy before so something was definitely off.
for a while now, i have not been able to login to the amazon app store app. i've used it since day one on numerous devices without issue up until about 2 months ago. now, when i try to login, it tells me to enter a correct email and password. the info i put in is correct and i even changed password to try that. it doesn't work. i can put that same info in the regular amazon app and it works just fine. i'm rooted and using blazer's rom right now. i used aokp prior to blazer, and i believe that's when my issues started. on a sidenote, i have the same exact issue on my hp touchpad running classic nerd. any ideas or suggestions? thanks!

For amazon u probably have too many devices registered. Go to your account details in amazon.com and remove some devices associated with your email login and you should be good.

that was it, thanks!
Man amazon apps has become real crappy
After a while the free apps started to suck
Also apps don't get updated that often

I had a problem a while back with the Appstore logging out daily, so each log in adds a new device on-line. It was "fixed" on a revC apk and working fine for a few weeks. Just started doing the same yesterday. Anyone else having this issue?
I haven't seen this issue since it was fixed except for once. The appstore was logged out for no reason. It hasn't happened since so I haven't thought about it again. Not sure of any cause though.

Ditto here. I think I'm done with Amazon apps. Combine the losing password with the fact that you can't see the version of app store without logging in (to see if you need to update) and you can't paste into the password box (since I keep my passwords in a safe and normally don't see/type them) it becomes way too annoying.
So you are giving up on an app that gives you a free app every day because you occasionally have to re enter your details?

I uninstalled appstore, and re downloaded and reinstalled from here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/mas/get/android seems to stick now. I have too many free apps to give it up, although I am replacing them 1 by 1. Play is so much faster at updating.

Well, not just that. The free app every day used to include some good ones, but I can't remember the last time I saw one that interested me. The re-entering of details (and situations where you can't do that, like if you're on a plane) combined with the lack of timely app updates (and occasional battery drain issues) just make it more hassle than it's worth for me. YMMV.
As of a few days ago, no matter which app I choose from https://play.google.com/apps, although it states that is being installed on the Android SGIII, the app never gets pushed to the phone. I'v used this method for a long time, for things I had found while browsing from my laptop (of course), so it's a bummer if this won't work, anymore. Any ideas / suggestions?!?
TIA,
Stefan
Weird... I pushed an app to my sgs3 and my sons from the website just a couple weeks ago.
May be a dumb question, but are you logged in to Google on your computer? Have you tried doing it from your mobile browser to see if it works that way? Are u on a custom ROM?

All of the above. As I said - I used to be able to do it before, including older phones, and the SGIII. I tried from the same phone (using Dolphin, FF, built-in), also, aside from my laptop, also using different browsers. Verified the account login (i.e. the Google account being used), etc. No go
Check the drop down list of phones linked to your account, occasionally when you flash a ROM the Play Store will recognize it as a different phone. Happened to me a while back, I went to the online play store and it listed 2 S3s, I just had to select the "other" one and it worked.

Good point - thank you, but unfortunately not the case this time. There was no change between ROM or version of such between "before" and "after". So frustrating...

Is google drive working for anybody? I click on it and a dialog box comes up and says "Unfortunately, drive has stopped" I've tried uninstalling it and rebooting multiple times. Maybe it's something with a new update because it was working not that long ago
Yup
I noticed it stopped working a few weeks ago. The current version on my phone is 1.2.228.32, and I think I remember the Kindle and phone versions updated at/around the same time. At this point, I'm just waiting for the next update, hoping that it'll be fixed...

That's the version I'm running without issue.
Try clearing data and cache and then possibly reinstall.

I did try that and several reinstalls. I also tried converting it to a system app in case it needed permissions it wasn't getting, but no dice. It gives me an option to generate a bug report like any other crash, but the Play Store crashes if I try to do that ("Google Play Store has stopped") without an option to report.
It's nice to hear that you can run it though. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this? I've also tried clearing data and cache on the Play Store, but that's about as far as I went. Would be nice to get it running again so I can edit documents...
I found a backup I had made about 4 months ago! It's version 1.1.470.15 and it seems to be working just fine. If anyone's interested, I can send you the apk via a PM (I don't think I can post attachments yet due to my newbie-ness).
