When i'm having a phone call, I can't minimize the window anymore. The navigation bar is greyed out, unresponsive, and i also can't swipe down the status bar to get the notifications panel. The only way i can access the nav bar is by tapping first on contacts.
I'm rooted since a few weeks and everything works like a charm except for that detail that take much importance. (Stock rom v20g, imperium kernel)
The only bloatware i freeze in Titanium backup is Agenda, Email, Exchange, FmService, GCUV, File manager, Google apps (music, +, Films, Games, Kiosk, Photos), Internet, Mirrorlink, Smartshare Cloud, Smartshare Mediaserver, Smartshare Provider, Tasks storage, Talkback.
I tried to disable Xposed and all the modules, call recorder, G4 tweakbox.
Any idea or help will be much appreciated

Hey everyone I’m switching from a jailbroken iPhone 4S to a Galaxy S3 AT&T. What similar apps and tweaks are available for the Galaxy S3 that I currently use on my iPhone? I also plan to root my S3 so any apps that are similar that require rooting are fine. Also any recommendations of cool tweaks, apps and ROMS are welcomed. I am new to this but I have read quite a bit. I like my phone looking totally different then everyone else’s. ☺
Any help is welcomed,
Thanks
Tweaks & apps I use on my iPhone:
Bite SMS – One can push the volume button and then tap the screen where it shows that volume being adjusted and quick composes a message. One may also quick reply without having to go into the native sms app, such as replying to a text message while in a game or in the music app.
- Features: “Quick Reply, Quick Compose, Passcode Lock, Delivery Reports”
Activator – One can set short cuts by customizing what a certain button or certain screen gestures such as pressing the home button three times and the camera flash turns into a flashlight. Another example is pressing the sleep button twice while listening to music and the phone will go to the next song in the playlist. Also one can set a gesture such as “pinching” an icon on the home screen and the email app will open in the compose new email window.
SBSettings - Simple shortcut utility allows you to access all of the system settings you toggle daily with a quick Activator action. For example, you could double tap your iPhone’s status bar to trigger a panel of settings, and adjust settings such as Bluetooth, wifi, 3G, brightness, kill background apps. Also have a toggle setting for the flash setting it as a flashlight on and off at an ease.
Tethering – Using the cellphones 3G or 4G to give out internet access by setting a wireless hotspot, Bluetooth or USB cable.
Folder Enhancer – unlimited amount of apps in any folder
Applocker – passcode apps and folders
Fake caller ID app
Lock screen quick features - camera app toggle and people you’d like to speed dial, flashlight
Remove running apps in the background with one touch
3G unrestrictor – run or download apps that are limited to only use while on wifi
Most of those things you can do without root.

Just go to play store and look mos of what you post is there w/o rooting. BTW.. welcome to S3 forum. I switch around year ago and i never look back...
I highly recommend reading as many guides as you can (twice) before you destroy your phone. There are a thousand ways you can end up with a 600 dollar paperweight.

Phone is rooted but stock ROM. I can't get incoming text messages or emails to be read via TTS no matter what I try. I remember it worked a long time ago. I'm using Widget Locker for lock Screen with slider and Nova Launcher and GoSMS Pro for SMS. Checked settings under Accessibility and Google Text-to-speech engine is selected and Driving Mode slider is ON. So here's what I've tried and it has made not difference.
- Put phone into Driving Mode via toggle
- Put phone into Driving Mode AND "Car Mode" via Llama event
- Freeze GoSMS Pro via TB to force use of stock Messaging App
- Check stock Messaging app settings: Notification=ON
- Turn Widget Locker OFF (so no slider or passcode needed)
I tried all of these things in various combinations and nothing would activate the TTS for incoming text messages.
Any other suggestions?
I stumbled across a thread from last year and some others had the same problem and found it worked when they ran S-Voice. I have my double tap home mapped to Google Voice Search instead of S-Voice so I never use it. I launched S-Voice, and then TTS works. However, if I do long press and swipe S-Voice away from the open apps list, the TTS stops working.
Having to remember to keep S-Voice running seems ridiculous. Guess I'll have to go with a third party app and hope it works with GoSMS.
So, as the title says, I do not get the "heads up" (pop up) notifications for most apps. I have them for whatsapp or youtube, but other apps notifications' (gmail, instagram, etc) just appear in the status bar... Is it the normal behaviour for this specific device or am I missing something?
I'm on 6.0 stock, not rooted
Recently purchased the s9 (GM-G960F). However, I've noticed that the notifications are really buggy. I don't receive ANY notifications for my Gmail, Instagram sometimes works but when it does, 80% of the time it only vibrates with no sound. With WhatsApp, I only receive notifications for every 10 or so messages, and most of the time it only vibrates.
Twitter, WhatsApp and Instagram are unmonitored from the battery
All notifications are on and set to urgent (so I get sound and pop up on the screen)
Notification sound is set to "skyline" (default notification sound)
I've tried using other notification sounds but no luck
I've looked in advanced notifications and I can't find anything wrong
Reset phone twice and still nothing
I've cleared the cache a number of times for each app that notifications don't work
Any help?

Thanks, I installed it this morning. However, there is no difference. Notifications are still buggy
Check that you didn't enable any battery saving feature or install any on your phone including those that stops applications from accessing the internet or updating in the background. Also check the status bar in the settings, "Show Recent Notifications Only" should be turned off.

I've checked and no battery saving features are activated for WhatsApp, Twitter and Instagram. (I've even turned off the save data feature in Instagram and Twitter), As for Gmail, nothing shows in the battery settings to unmonitor it.
Show recent notifications is off (it's one of the first things I did when I set up the phone)
My current Apps that I have installed are:
WhatsApp
Instagram
Twitter
Google Authenticator
Spotify
Snapseed
The rest of the apps came pre-installed on the device (Youtube, Gmail, Drive, Maps...)
I've started to uninstall one by one the Apps i've installed to see if it fixes it. So far I've tried Spotify and Instagram, but no fixes were made.
I've even gone into recovery mode and cleared the whole cache.
Hi all. I have CN rom (Tencent Games label). I previously had a Galaxy S21.
I have discovered that many of the frequent apps I use don't notify me well on this RM6. For messaging, I expect a sound, a screen wakeup, and a badge on the lockscreen for apps like FB Messenger, WhatsApp, Outlook Email, etc. How can I get this happening on the RM6?
I also note that when I am in a voice-call on Whatsapp, that after the lockscreen timeout ends, the headphones (speakers and mic) stop working through the lockscreen. But if I unlock, the app (and open voice call) are still there.
I feel like the lockscreen is main issue, but I cannot see any suitable options to change the settings.
Help?
Regards, Sirdiver
i've the same issue in EU Rom, it's a software problem and for sure it will be fixed in the upcoming updates.
Same issue here.
Has this been fixed ?
The biggest issue i am facing right now with this lockscreen is not able to see who is calling me through normal phone call and WhatsApp call. The screen does not showing any details of the caller & keep blank until i unlock the screen. The notification settings on redmagic is so confusing with so unnecessary options. The worst part, after cracking my head configured with so many settings only for the notifications, it doesn't working as expected. Waste of time
Do any of you guys face not having notification icons on the Always-On Display? Not able to fix this issue after tweaking most of the settings and the phone has already been updated to the latest version.
