[Resolved] HP IPAQ rx1950 Semi Dead (Briked) !

When i was flashing my HP IPAQ rx1950 wioth hpRUU .. Then at 70 / 80 % aprox... Shut down The Computer .. So the Flash has interrupted ....
After restart the device result :

Just the last Digits do not show properly..Whats That ?
SO now it always boot just as the image !
Can Flash completely from SD card, But when finish and restart, still the same problem !
i have tested the MTTY.exe and its work (Tested "r2sd" command )
SO MTTY work , Flashing from SD Card Work ..

Download the latest HP iPAQ rx1950 Pocket PC Series ROM Update from here :

then plug the device to computer ...
Run The "sp31892.exe" in my case .. Extract ....
Then Run "hpRUU.exe" Then Choose "Boot Loader" And then Update ... When done the device is restarted Then You're Done !

could this work if i have the korean rom in my device??? the rom only works for english when updating..how about if the device whick is bricked is korean?

I too have a semi-bricked rx1950 trying to install 6.1, stuck on the same loading screen as the picture. Trying to load either 5.0 or 6.1 roms through usb results in a 402 failed to connect errors after 1/2 load. No button combination results in anything but going back to this screen (reset seems to be the only responsive button anyway). Can't find working mtty or bootloader.exe links anymore. Please please repost these files and instructions. There seem to be several of us with bricked rx1950s from reading several threads on this. Thanks.

Ok, its an old thread...but maybe someone like me, who like playing with those "old-fashioned toys"...
I have found some difference to get in bootloader mode with this rx1950 and make backup from rom.
While pda is disconnect, with a sdcard in it (fresh formatted fat16, best if all is written with 0) which works under win-mobile (so, not a hc one...), press power and reset to get a reboot, when pda reboot, press shortly after that contacts + mail + reset and watch screen to get a white screen with HP-logo.
Then press only the mail-button, hold it and connect usb-cable to PC.
Start mtty, select usb, wait until PDA cames up like "usb>" in the box and write r2sd in it. PDA should come with a message and two lines for status.
Wait, until its ready. Done.
PDA will normal reboot after backup is ready.
Note - The card will not be readable with normal PC and Win-mobile itself would like to format it.
Check card by putting it in PDA and start with bootloader. It will asked you, if you want to install rom. Press power-buton to don't let him, unplug card and reset the device.
Store your sd-card in a safe place...or make an image with winhex. For that, don't choose driveletter, but sdcard to copy from.

you probably need to update your recovery img version, easiest way is using fastboot or a toolkit, like wugfresh toolkit(Google wugfresh Gnex it will come right up)
you need to install the drivers.for windows to recognize galaxy nexus as attached, wugfresh can do THAT for you as well.
although I'm a proponent of using manual methods like adb/fastboot, wugfresh can help get you started in the right direction

You're right.My recovery img is old and didn't update since about a year and a half.
I install wugfresh but when I run the program, that doesn't recognize the device.
When I connect the mobile to laptop, I heard a sound about plug a USB Device.
The Mobile phone is on bootloader....
and becaue I didn't know device build number, I click Auto Detect Device + Build....
But doesmn't happen anything

if you aren't worried about losing any user data, first flash a factory stock image which will put device back to out of box state, then you can pick which build and such,
or, before that, do a quick google search for "xda, galaxy nexus, windows 8.1 driver issue" I think I recall someone having similar issues and getting them resolved and the thread should have the info you need in it.
let us know if you find the info you need.

Before that , I installed the adb drivers and also change my o.s from Win8 to win XP.

Let me explain my problem by photos :
I run nexus Root Toolkit
In advanced utilities , click on "Launch"
In apperaed window , "Boot Temporary" , I click on "Custom Recovery", then I must browse the file "openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.0-maguro.img"
After browse the file , this Message Appear : Reebooting your device into bootloader . . .
Then after afew secondes , This message blowes my mind : Fastboot Device Was Not Found . . . .
Also in other parts of Nexus Root Toolkit I have the same problem....
Is there anyway to solv ethis problem?

I would recommend removing the drivers that are installed. it seems that the wrong ones, or maybe something just "borked" with them, happened on original install.
when you plug in device, go into device manager, should be able to right click on your device and uninstall drivers.
then I recommend putting device in bootloader mode. plug in, and see if it installs the drivers automatically for you.
there should also be an.option in wug to "install drivers" I think.
(in your pictures, window on the right side, "Full Driver install....", long button on the top)

I just noticed that you have chosen ICS for model/OS. it is probably trying to use the old fastboot binary for it or something, change that and try 4.2 or even 4.3, you could also try 4.1 but I'm thinking the 4.2or4.3 choice will work for you.

do you KNOW how to manually put phone into bootloader/fastboot mode correct?
if not, from powered down state, hold power, volume up, and volume down, all at the same time for a few seconds, it will vibrate, and bring up the bootloader.
I know on my machine, I befoee had to uninstall drivers, then plugged device in while in bootloader mode, and waited as it installed automatically the correct drivers needed.

go to your initial post, there should be button below it that says "edit" or similar. click that, then you probably have to click "go advanced" or "advanced edit" or something like that, I think then you will be able to edit the post title.

How to full backup any qualcomm phone (no root)

Hi every body, I had reviced a lot of question about how to backup qualcomm devices. So today I will show you how! (test in Obi SF1)
Because if your phone is not root, you can't back up your rom in case brick when you play with the phone. So you will need this!!!
1: Download all necessary files (in my video description) put all of them in the same folder and extract out!
2: in stall the right driver (make sure your usb connect type is MTP)
When your phone and computer are connected and in devices manager you see some thing with a yellow triangle and the QFIL software show “no port available” that mean you need driver!
To install the driver, run qualcomm_Setup as administrator! Restart your computer. If success, no more yellow triangle in devices manager.
3: now put your phone into download mode by: install QPST.2.7.437 to your computer. Then run eMMC Software Download, chose switch device to DLOAD…> chose your phone >ok, now you will see several new hard disks in your computer , and in device manager you will see something like qualcomm emmc or qualcom mmc... in hard disk field! now close the eMMC Software Download software.
4: Run HDDRawCopy1.10Portable, chose Qualcomm MMC Storage USB Device (your phone flash) then click continue > double click on file > browse to pale you want to save the backup file > name the file, in file type field, chose raw img file > save > click continue and wait to complete (it may took along time depend on your memory size)
To wake up the phone out of download mode, just press all three hard buttons same time in 2 minutes !!! (for Obi phone, may different in other phones).

Attention: this method no need root, and you will have the full rom back up. But be careful if you chose wrong field you may miss your hard disk’s data, and when you apply the back up again to your phone your phone will really hard brick if you break the process. So if you had rooted the phone, use another method for better!!!

Thanks for the video link. I want to use this so that I can get boot image and recovery image so that it can be ported . My phone is Gionee M6S plus Snapdragon chipset with locked boot loader. I would like to ask while In reading mode ,if by unforseen reason the readback gets interrupted ;is there any chance of hard bricking ?

Nope, in backup process just don't format or delete any any thing in your phone's internal memory, your phone will be ok. But when you restore the phone, if the process broke, your phone maybe brick depen on how many percen had complete!

When you using this method, it will backup all of your partition: boot, recovery, efs, system, and user data too!

For my device (Obi Sf1) just long press (may up to 3 minutes) all of my 3 hard buttons to wake him up!

Getting the 0x80004005 error also. Any suggestion? The phone shows up as qualcomm device just fine.

find another way to boot into EDL mode. usually you have a timeout ~30 sec

There is no other way to boot into EDL if your screen is completely blacked out and all what the computer recognises is a Qualcomm device in Device Manager.

I have a cable and it doesn't work.
I took my phone apart and did the test point shorting, that doesn't work either.
I have also been told that the phone is already in EDL mode but the problem is me getting that error message!

if it is already in EDL mode, just install Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 Driver

Done that from the start.

Clear-simple method install W10 on <4gb ROM

I get it done with more than 1Gb of free storage !
-I have lumia 530 Dual SIM (1019) previous build was 8.1 I don't recall OS version but it was the latest, so yeah I searched for more information and I found this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/win...date-t3527340/ of this glorious man @hikari_calyx
-I tired to install W10 even the method says that not supported for 4gb devices, and it was really a fail because following his steps ended up with fail to update due to low storage, then I tried to delete anything I could, but again it fails for just 140mb or so... an idea pops up in my head which updating after a hard reset so the OEM apps won't get installed, and
here are the steps
1- go to the link provided for @hikari_calyx and follow the steps (make sure to download the .cab files) until it fails to update.
2- perform a hard reset to your phone (power off, press vol - and power button together after the vibrate release ur finger from power button and keep pressing vol - then in order : vol - vol + power button vol - )
and don't pass the language selection screen just keep it there.
3- Now go and update it like you just did before hard reset, it will take a lot of time just plug it to a power source and keep it cold, maybe more than 1 hour.
4-hurry it boot up you might face a problem in "Almost done.." screen, so the solution is : lock the screen and turn it on again, once u slide the lock screen up and before the app reloads keep pressing the "win" button it will open "one handed mode" then bring down the notification center and press anything (maybe win button I don't recall) until it goes to home screen (not 100% sure what I have done it was so random lol)

That seems tricky ,I LL try that for I have a lumia 530 and there isn t another way to get W10 on it. I didn t read the Hikari thread yet but which .cab files did you download? Lumia 535 one? Thank you

oh. sorry for that, didn't use xda for a long time now.
i just let the program works by it self. if I recall. sorry again xd

While at least now it does copy the files to the device, I can't get past this. Do you know how to fix this, or alternatively, give me the backup files (EFIESP, MainOS and Data) for WPInternals? I'd probably prefer a solution to fix the update software over your firmware dumps though.
PS: I'm also using a Lumia 530.
Update: if you're getting the error attached below and trying to do this on Windows 10, I found a solution. What you want to do is to make a Windows 7 VM which is not updated, or to Jan-2016 at maximum and follow the steps of the OP. The error below here is a syncing error, which is probably because of the amazing Windows 10 driver support . Also, if stuff in the W10m OS isn't working properly, you could try a factory reset first

Requirements

Realme GT Master Edition and USB type C cable
Device should be on RUI 2.0 or RUI 3.0 based in Android 11/12 with Latest software update.
Steps
Simply Install the
For RUI2 DeepTestApkOld, For RUI3 DeepTestApkNew or DeepTestNew2
Open Deep Testing App , read and agree to TOS
Click on Apply Now button it will say Application Submitted please wait
After 10 minutes open Deep Testing App and go to Query Approval Status
Skip to step 8 if adb&fastboot already installed on systemNow hopefully it should say DeepTesting approved .
Install adb-fastboot setup (Windows only)
Go to C:\adb folder , press shift and right click open Powershell window here .
In deep testing app after selecting query approval status , tap on start deep testing button Now your phone will reboot to fastboot mode
Connect phone via USB to PC
And in the power shell window opened in step 7 enter fastboot devices then press enter key (It should show your device name , If it does not then reinstall drivers)
Now in powershell enter fastboot flashing unlock then press enter key
Your device will reboot and show warning use volume button to select Yes Unlock Bootloader
After this phone will reboot twice don't do anything and after 5 to 10 minutes your phone will restart with fresh installation , wisely read and agree to terms and complete the setup
Now your device bootloader is unlocked .

Device should be on RUI 2.0 or RUI 3.0 based in Android 11/12 with Latest software update.
Steps
Simply Install the
For RUI2 DeepTestApkOld, For RUI3 DeepTestApkNew
Open Deep Testing App , read and agree to TOS
Click on Apply Now button it will say Application Submitted please wait
After 10 minutes open Deep Testing App and go to Query Approval Status
Skip to step 8 if adb&fastboot already installed on systemNow hopefully it should say DeepTesting approved .
Install adb-fastboot setup (Windows only)
Go to C:\adb folder , press shift and right click open Powershell window here .
In deep testing app after selecting query approval status , tap on start deep testing button Now your phone will reboot to fastboot mode
Connect phone via USB to PC
And in the power shell window opened in step 7 enter fastboot devices then press enter key (It should show your device name , If it does not then reinstall drivers)
Now in powershell enter fastboot flashing unlock then press enter key
Your device will reboot and show warning use volume button to select Yes Unlock Bootloader
After this phone will reboot twice don't do anything and after 5 to 10 minutes your phone will restart with fresh installation , wisely read and agree to terms and complete the setup
Now your device bootloader is unlocked .

DOES NOT WORK for Me (using both old deep and new deeptest). I am using RMX3363_11.A.10 . Attached is detailed info of my RMX3363 from dialing ( *#6776# ) Please help.
