From the manual: The highest SAR value for this model phone tested for use at the ear is 0.564 W/Kg (10g) and when worn on the body is 0.696 W/Kg (10g).
On the body it states it should be positioned at least 1.5 cm away to meet the exposure guidelines.

Are there any one know when 3.2.9 update will come to oneplus 3

I think there wont be a 3.2.9, 4.0 will come next imho
Is there anything special bound for 3.2.9 ? Cuz i keep seeing etas for newer versions of this and that but everything works just as it should. Is the higher number that impt compared to having a stable device?

I think they will focus on 4.0 as they are giving more priority to nougat than touch latency issue.

Because the touch latency is not sn Op3 only issue. The OP3 has pretty good latency compared to other devices.

I agree but I highly doubt there will be a 3.2.9
Direct 4.0 mostly
It's mid-December already and we'll get stable Nougat this year, so yeah, it's pretty safe to say that there won't be any more Marshmallow updates.
And touch latency fix is incorporated into Open Beta 8, so it's coming to stable branch with Nougat.

They removed the beta download saying they gathered enough feedback, so my guess is 4.0 will be the next release... Maybe Soonâ„¢

Maybe 3.2.8,1/4...
1 more beta may come within a week........ followed by official 4.0

Actually, op3 have bad touch latency compared to m8 and s7e. Had all 3 phones to test. I haven't tried latency firmware from op3t tho.

Compared overall to other phones it is just fine.. People have to complain about something.
1. ONEPLUS 3 had no 1440P display
2. ONEPLUS 3T launched (Overall no difference)
3. ONPLUS 3 has bad touch latency.

Anyone as came from the Oneplus 5 to Honor 8 Pro?

Anyone as come from the Oneplus 5 to Honor 8 Pro?
After having returned my OP5 i'm seriously considering H8Pro
Is it a good alternative performance wise? Better? Worst?
As an Amoled lover ... will I be disappointed with the LCD H9Pro screen as to it's deep blacks and vibrant colors?
Will the 2K display compensate for not being Amoled like the one in OP5?
Thanks :good:

I've used both the devices. I'm using the Honor 8 pro at this moment. Both the phones are very snappy but 1+5 surely has an edge plus Indian variant of Honor 8 pro gets warm at the back side with light usage too which is no the case with OnePlus 5 with the same exact usage! Display? I'll prefer the one on Honor 8 pro for the 2k res & it's very good looking too (it's very marginal difference, nothing noticeable)

Sadly it is having emmc! Is it safe to assume that all Indian Honor 8 Pros are having EMMC as the price is far cheaper than the Global variant! Plus 6+128 model available!

My opinon- Reviewers received the Global variant (maybe, just maybe) which had UFS! But yes that's not fair as I see many people asking about the same and they are also worried about the heating issue (not uncomfortable though) as they bought the device by watching those "early reviews"

A little but my major problem was that I could not connect to my home router
Only managed to connect to my Devolo 1200+ and not all the times.
Many people have other Wi-Fi problems like drops and speed.
Really bad the Wi-Fi quality on OP5.

All the reviewers have ufs variant and that's why they are getting better performance on their units. All others have emmc and thus, degraded performance.

Had the Honor 8Pro before the OP5 and OP5 is way better. '(Germany - Got the Honor from Netherlands)
Storage was EMMC - Which really enerved me + at that point in time (1 month after release) no root in sight little XDA coverage etc-
Sent it back within the 14 day period.
Both are nice phones but the op5 is IMHO better.
Joerg
If it would be about the phone only, I'd go with Honor 8 pro but, given the fact I value the development strength when ever I get the chance to get a phone, I'll go with OP5 (if I can buy it :silly: )

this phone vs pixel 4xl?

Just wondering if anyone else was struggling with the decision to get the 70 versus the 4XL. I am on Verizon, grandfathered unlimited data. All I care about is having an unlocked phone. I'm currently on the Pixel 2 XL, and ready for an upgrade, but not sure which direction to go. What are your guys thoughts? All I really care about is having a fast phone with a good battery

Just curious, why do you think that? One plus should have better or equivalent specs
Honestly if camera is super important to you, go pixel hands down. If you just wanna be a spec fanatic, OnePlus.
Personally, I'll always go pixel simply because specs aren't everything. Just something to brag about.
Pixel 4 will have the better camera. At least this time they're also going with 6gb ram. Just comes down to pricing.

People already complaining about the 7T. I might wait for Xiaomi Mi 10 tbh and use it until late 2022
If I can't wait I might just get Galaxy Note 10 (non plus).

For what it offers its fantastic, unless you are a camera enthusiast.
Camera on pixel will be sublime. Perfect colour reproduction.
But battery (so long as you can deactivate ,90hz)
Will be superior on the OnePlus.
Pixels always have crap battery.

If I can get a new OnePlus 7 Pro 6GB for the same retail price as the new OnePlus 7T 8GB (₹38k), which one would be better? At the same time I can get the new 7T for less than ₹ 32k. Please note:

The McLaren edition will have 12GB I'd assume and that will affect battery life, complete overkill, 6GB is probably more than enough, 8GB is the sweet spot and honestly the most I'd get in a phone for now at least, unless the battery was substantially larger and apps actually utilized it which at the moment they just don't.
If it's also 5G then it'll greatly affect battery life.
The range on 5G and ability to pass through walls etc is awful, so if the phone is forcing power to the antenna to get a good connection your battery will deplete a lot faster.
4G and 8GB is perfect.

Mate 20X 5G EVR-N29 & EVR-AN00 EMUI 10/Android 10 Release & Experience Questions
Hi! I am in the process of getting my new Mate 20x 5G EVR-N29 despite its disadvantages over the 4G version and would like to know if the EMUI 10/Android 10 Update is released or releasing anytime soon.
Also, please share your experience and bugs as well as there does not seem to be any dedicated threads for this device.
Not sure why but hope this will change as I think there should be dedicated sub-forums for this model to help users with device specific guidance, customisations and news.
In particular, I would like to know if display density reset issue remains or whether call recording can be enabled by default on EVR-N29.. Comments on Battery Life, Loudness of Speakers, M-Pen use and 5G performance also welcome.

may i ask why u went for the 5G version? summary of disadvantages:
- smaller battery
- no stereo speakers (earphone is now used as second speaker, thus unequal loudness)
- no 3.5 mm headphone jack
- higher battery consumption at 5G / basically non-existant coverage as of yet
- significantly higher price tag
- sound not as loud / good as the 4G version (headphones)

Great question! Very accurate list of disadvantages. Thanks. I was one of the first to post about the disadvantages of this model in this forum when the details of its features were first leaked, subsequently officially announced. I was and still very upset with Huawei for what they did to Mate 20 X.
I am getting a very special discount on the price of the 5G model which I could not refuse so I am buying it. I love large phones and currently still using my Zenfone 3 Ultra and very happy with it despite the lack of NFC and 5G but want my next phone to be 5G ready and larger than my current phone as a future investment and to protect its resale value. Until proper folding devices become widespread, I think I could manage with the 5G Mate 20X. Besides, it also has large memory (compared to the European non-5g model EVR-L29) and Google Play Store and GMS is pre-installed so not need to sideload like on the non-5G 256Gb version (China Version).
I will share my experience with it when my phone arrives next week and really hope I could upgrade to Android 10 as hopefully the display density reset issue will be solved so I could make better use of the screen space.
@AWFRONT I am in same boat as you, waiting to get it next week!
same reasons to buy it, I had 20x 4g china almost year...
Phone is very close to 4g, however i like the below advantages.:
5G network is becoming common in Dubai so it is great to have 5G phone
Ram is bigger 8gb
Performance is slightly higher
Storage is 256gb
Didn't realize any difference in battery performance compared to 4G
SPLASH, WATER, AND DUST RESISTANT
SuperCharge (Max 40 W)
Yes you can install call recording in global phone
The only thing i can highlight is:
Sound is not as 4g
We didn't receive EMUI 10 yet even beta
---------- Post added at 10:50 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:42 AM ----------
But if you want a very nice 5G phone i would recommend mate 30 pro 5G uf a big screen is not important to you .
I had a mistake that i bought mate 30 pro 4G recently and i have mate 20 x 5G.

how can performance be higher if hardware is exactly the same in terms of SoC?
8/256 also in chinese 4G
battery performance should be significantly different at 84% battery capacity plus 5G eats more battery than 4G, especially with a separate 5G modem, so more hardware to power.
both 4G and 5G models are rated at IP53, no difference there.
supercharge at 40W is indeed different / higher than 4G and of course its nice to have global version
not criticizing here folks, just keeping the facts straight!
Sent from my Xiaomi Mi Max 2 (Oxygen) using Tapatalk
Yes, like this. Good is 8gb on global sw and faster charging. Bad is smaller battery and worse sound.
Other same.
I hope it will serve me one day whole on 4g, until 5g come to Serbia. Then I will see..
I got it yesterday, played just a little for now.
Of course, all is same.
I noticed that screen is maybe little better calibrated (easily can be just production variations). Less green tint and a fraction stronger saturation on normal mode. Goes a little to red, not perfect...
No option for flicker reduce (as I remember on al00 it was introduced in 9.1 emui?).
Today I will set it usually for me, battery analysis in few days.
Charge is incredible : went from 40 to 95 percent in 10 or 15 minutes!

You know that super charging and fast charging reduces battery longetivity. I personally 5W charge my device and try and use the 80-40% charge regimen.

This is another short coming of EMUI, there is no place in software to turn off " fast charging", unlike Samsung which you can. My current charger , charges at approx 23% per hour / 1023mA. , Device temp doesn't even exceed 24C while charging. Sometimes , I do use a Samsung charger which charges at approx 1800mA.

We must wait. Don't flash manually
I installed the Huawei Recording app and it works perfectly on the EVR-N29. Tested and the quality is excellent.
