Hey, so I bought myself a used LG G4. The guy selling it, claimed that it is the international version, I too check it through out, underneath the battery and in the software, it said that it is the international version H815, however today I was trying to unlock the bootloader (which i couldn't) and discovered through the ADB that the LG G4 I have is not the international one, but the sprint one, LS991. I so very confused, above that when I used some random app to check my bootloader status, it is always 'unknown'!
WTF is the problem here! I am so confused :crying:
Anyone? Please help me!!!

Hi guys in urgent need of your opinions. When I went to an LG service centre after my phone died they replaced my mobo (E988 Singapore) with an E980 one. Soon after before I managed to root and unlock its bootloader I checked through the device details and the funny thing is that I realised it doesn't tally with any AT&T or non-AT&T E980 models as the model number was just listed as E980 and if I remember correctly the version number for the firmware listed it as an EU device?
I went forward with modding the phone and everything went well until recently when I tried to switch recoveries from CWM to TWRP. Unfortunately due to the confusion regarding my hardware (whether it was really an E980 or E988) I mucked up the process and am left with soft bricked device. Any ideas how to fix this? I don't know which KDZ file to flash for my situation. Please help me solve this as I really need to use the device urgently.
I think you'd be fine just treating it as an e980 and flashing back to stock
So I should just use any of the E980 kdz? I don't wanna risk hard bricking the device but I'll try it when I get the chance.
Hello everyone,
i know there are a lot of tutorials out there to unbrick the LG G3, but none of them seems to work for me.
I got mine from aliexpress, as a D855, but the IMEI shows a LS990.
I soft-bricked it trying to update with a euro D855 rom.
I could use some help, it's me been one month and i'm still pulling my hairs out of this, even the repair store could not unbrick it.
Update
User kp263 tried to help me in private, without success, but at least i learnt that my LG G3 is refurbished. I got it from aliexpress, if it helps.
I will try a new tutorial i found on androidbricks.com and keep in touch. Sorry i can't put the exact link, due to new user restrictions.
In case you know someone in france who's able to unbrick it, i am interested.
I have a phone which I bought from a used market, it's rooted and it has Verizon VS986 rom installed on it but when I take of battery it has H811 sticker. I am confused as I was expecting VS986 on the back of the mobile. So now I am wondering if someone has flashed the wrong KDZ on the phone? because with this rom I can't get this bootloader to unlock and now if I use LGUP or Bridge it doesn't flash the H811 kdz ... any ideas? have been searching for two days now.
Batteries from other LG G4s can be used. The sticker wouldn't matter. Only 5.1 can be rooted
If it is vs986 it can't have the bootloader unlocked.
This is the problem, my hardware info shows it's vs986 but sticker on back says h811. Also in software info it shows modified.
Its rooted but bootloader is blocked, can I flash international kdz ?
If yes how? Coz I tried using LG up it doesn't work.
Did you download the LGUP with the new DLL file? (on my phone and will post link soon). Does anywhere on the phones back cover in or out say that model? Where'd you get that phone from?

Hey everyone! About a year ago I bought an AT&T LG G4 of of ebay with the intent of using it as a daily-driver phone. The seller listed it as Unlocked, and only mentioned the model number at the bottom of the page. I didn't look at that first, so I ended up with an AT&T G4.
It's unlocked, so I can use any sim with it, but the amount of AT&T bloatware on it is INSANE. So I used it as a primary phone for a few months, but than ended up shelving it, and using it a secondary, playarround phone.
And now as I'm not using it, I'm looking for a methood to unlock the bootloader and get rid of the AT&T bloatware. So today I looked arround and found out that the AT&T G4 was indeed unlockable but, you need to have AntiRollback V2 or lower. But my phone has AntiRollback V3. Is there any methood you can unlock an AT&T G4 with AntiRollback V3?
If I lose the simcard funcionality it doesn't matter. I just want to get rid of the bloatware, and update to a never version of android.
Any help would be appriciated.

So i bought a lg g4 second hand.
I opened the phone to check which variant it was. And on the motherboard it shows H815. But once i go into the settings and check it, it shows its a H815TR variant
Am I screwed or can I fix this?
I hope somebody can help me.
You have to use usuunlocking if you want to modify your devise

Explained in post # 1666 in the UsU unlock thread.
Every motherboard from any H815x model shows "H815" even if on settings shows H815TR, H815P, H815AR, etc. So there is nothing to fix... and if you want, you can Unlock the Bootloader following the steadfasterX's guide for every H815x.
