Note 7 Issues - Note 7 Questions & Answers

I have a note 7 and i have recently noticed that the vibration of the Note 7 compared to the note 5 or even the galaxy s6 edge plus is different ? As well as i have noticed that the LED indicator seems to be dim when the ambient sensor ins't getting a lot of light and when it is the led indicator is bright ? I guess it controls the LED indicator like how it controls the screen auto bright function to save energy maybe ?

[Q] Light Pulse

I noticed in the galaxy nexus the notification light turns on subtle and soft but on the galaxy s3 the light turns on very instantaneous... how can i mimic that effect on the galaxy s3? (both are currently running jellybean, and the paid light flow app installed)

Is there away to increase the intensity of the notifications LED ?

I compared my note 2 with 3 others and have realised that my note 2's notification Led Is much LESS brighter then the others. I have no idea why. But is there a way to increase the intensity or can anyone shed any light to why this can happen.
Thanks!
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
The LED brightness varies on external light source, if you are out in sunlight then it will be bright but if you are in a dark room the LED will be dim.
I think the third party apps turn them to brightest possible always, like Light Flow or Light Manager.
I have tried both the above mentioned app they dont have a setting for brightness just for colour and blink rate. Also i tried covering the light sensor to see if the LED would get brighter or dimmer but no change occurred .

I have the same problem and also the ambient light doesn´t change the LED intensity

S9 / S9+ Ambient Light sensor disabled in stock... Ish rom

The notification led is connected to the ambient light sensor so in a dark room the led is dim, in a light room the led is bright.
However if you're out and about in even a slightly bright day and take your phone out of your pocket (which is dark) you can barely see the led because it's been in your dark pocket.
This isn't a hardware limitation, if you install Resurrection Remix or Liniage OS the led is bright all the time.
I'm running a stock based custom os because of the camera quality.
I just wondered if anybody has worked out a way to either disconnect the led from the ambient light sensor or even disable the light sensor all together... I don't use it.
I've tried the Xposed Sensor disabled but it didn't work on either BRF5 or ARC5

Turn off Automatic screen brightness? Is the LED not connected to the screens brightness level?
Ummm, actually when I said I don't use the light sensor, I figured it was obvious that I don't use automatic screen brightness (since it uses the ambient light sensor).
Anyway, no.. The led isn't connected to the screen, it's connected to the same sensor as the screen... The ambient light sensor.
You can tell the screen to ignore the ambient light sensor by turning off automatic screen brightness, that however doesn't turn off the sensor.. So the notification led is still controlled by the light sensor.
Have you tried any of the notification apps on Play or Samsung Appstore? There's quite a few free ones available on Play but I've never had the need to try any on this phone.
I've tried them all, I like lightflow the best.
They let you control the brightness up to 100%, but that's 100% of the brightness controlled by the ambient light sensor which in turn answers to the Samsung software.
*Sigh*, if I can't find an answer, I might take my balls in my hand and open one of the phones and physically disconnect the sensor.. It's only a cable with a plug.
I also have an S8+ and it does the same thing.

LOL, if you do let us know how it comes out.....the sensor not the balls.
Has anyone solved the troublesome problem?

Mi Max 3 LED Notification Light

Hi everyone,
I've noticed that the Mi Max 3 has an LED Notification that's a white light.
Does anyone know if it is an RBG LED? I can't seem to get Light Flow working correctly with it.
Unless I'm mistaken, or uninformed that the LED cannot be customized?
Thanks for reading.

Unfortunately, it's a white led only. Light Flow and Light Manager won't work.
yes, tiny led light is the only minus point when I upgraded to max 3 from max 1
Notification light is barely noticable, is there any way to use the front flash as notification?

Galaxy S9 always on display brightness adjust

Good morning. I had a S8 and always on display light was very visible. Now i have s9 and the light is very low, like lg g6 and g7, but those phones are not amoled! can anyone tell me from where setting menu can i adjust? the light of display is set as automatic, i hope there is a separate menu for aod....
thanks
Settings > Lock screen > Always on display > Auto brightness
thanks, did, but confirm it is more low than galaxy s8?
This is the S9 forum
i speak about s9 phone... is the aod brightness very poor or is a my phone problem??
in this forum many users, like me had both phone and my answer is for a paragon with s8 but i speak about s9
but is possible that with auto brightness the notifications icons of always on display are almost invisible??? is this a problem not solvable? i never saw a super amoled display aod so unreadble.
what can we do?
EDIT:
the problem is the notification icons coloured. is possible to make the same colour of time? infact in galaxy s8 this problem was not there....
The collored Icons are a feature in Android Pie. Now the brightnes of the Icon depends on the App
