[q] sim card error

Hello. I've a new problem with my phone and thenSim Card. In the day, i have suddenly an error message saying that my sim card is missing. The phone reboot and after it can be good all the day or i can have the same message few minutes later, and same reboot. I've tried this sim card in another phone without problem.
An idea ?
I've made a recovery and i had sill the same problem
my Firmware is 10D
Thanks
Maybe it's hardware error?restore your phone to it's original state and send it to warranty.
Have you swapped the sim while it was on?the g don't support hot swap, you need to turn off the phone before changing sims.

Mine just started doing that around the same time yours did... odd. What ROM are you using? What LGOG variant?

stuck on bootloop -uk D855 what to do ?

I edited /system/etc/mixer_paths_qcwcn.xml to make the volume louder, and I forgot to change the permissions back, so now it's stuck on a bootloop.
What are my options now to get the phone back ? I'd rather now reset, wouldn't that make me lose stuff on the built in 16gb partition ? (i.e photos)
I'm running a UK D855 16GB and I was on v10a-EUR-xx , which was bought in carphone warehouse (but on o2 with no branding)
Am I stuck having to install a kdz with the LG tool ? and if so, which one should I use for this model ? and should I go to a higher version ? I saw 10g was available, but I'm not sure whether to go straight to that or not.
Is it possible to get in and repair the permissions ??

I struggled to find the right kdz file , so I ended up with the LG pc tools, I typed in my IMEI and S/N and stuck the phone in download mode. It detected it, and then upgraded my firmware from 10a to 10e, so now I'm upgraded and it boots fine. Just got to apply ioroot now and then not make that stupid mistake again !

This just happened to me.. Good thing I made a backup before.. If you did also or still have a rom on your SD card follow these instructions for the future..
Power off your device and wait for 5-10 seconds until the device is fully switched off or do a battery pull.
Press and hold ‘Volume Down + Power’ buttons together and release them as soon as you see the LG logo on your phone’s screen.
Now immediately press and hold the ‘Volume Down + Power’ buttons again until you see the ‘Hard reset screen’
Go down to yes on hard reset... Press power button once, and then again to confirm hard reset. If you have a custom recovery installed, your phone won’t hard reset and will boot into recovery mode.
If I had a custom recovery I would have made a backup, trouble is I'm on a European 855 with a locked bootloader, so waiting that be unlocked before i get twrp on there. I know there is a tethered method, but I'm in 2 minds whether to go down that route.

Software Problems

I'm from United Kingdom and I have a LG G3 D855 - made in Korea and basically what's happen to my phone is I restarted it and it ended up in a firmware mode and everytime I take battery out and put it back in it sends me to that firmware mode so I gave the phone to the shop to have a look and he says the whole software of the phone has been wiped off, I tried to flash it using your method if my phone gets messed up or something but everytime it would get stuck after 10% so I handed the phone to the shop and basically he put a software on and it says V10J-GLOBAL-SI. But before my phone went messed up it was something like V20I-EURR-XX, I've been searching for files so I could try and get my phone software back but I don't know how too, I heard of 'KDZ' but what is the difference between tot file and a kdz and will the Europe kdz get my phone software back to normal or any method that you know that will get in back,
please reply I've been proper stressed.

[Q] Phone keeps rebooting at LG logo without a charger

Hello everybody at the LG G3 part of XDA,
A friend of mine has an LG G3 and his phone broke. So he asked me to fix it. I myself am an Oneplus One user.
So the problem is really simple to explain. The phone doesn't work when there isn't a charger plugged in. When there is a charger plugged in everything is fine and the phone works normally.
So my friend tried to downgrade from lollipop to kitkat ( I don't know what he exactly did ). He doesn't have much knowledge about phones so ofcourse it went wrong.
Here is a video of what happens.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VP8MUPsANes
I already did a full reset with the LG flash tool and put the stock 4.4.2 Kitkat rom on it.
I have also checked the battery and it has a normal voltage of 3.8v. My friend also told me that he already swapped the battery in a store.
I do not know anything about a stock recovery of an LG G3, but I tried to acces it and I could get in to the hard reset screen but when opted Yes for everything it got stuck in that same "bootloop". When the phone is in the Hard reset menu then it wil stay ON without a charger. In all other cases it wil stay in a "bootloop"
I asked another friend of mine who has a lot of experience with phones. He said that it might have something to do with the a file that keeps the battery in check in the bootloader or the recovery, but he wasn't sure which one.
Update: When I am on the lockscreen and I disconnect the charger the phone stays on until I touch the screen than it shutsdown immediately
Try to flash lastest kdz of your g3 model

Replace your battery. This is what happened to my phone last september, I thought it was a software related issue, but when I tried to insert my friend's G3 battery, it just boot normally. I think this is a common problem of the phone/battery.
P.S. I tried running stock again, tried on CM, AOSP, etc. but can't make my phone to boot without being charged, until I replace my battery...

[D855] Blue screen/bootloop after changing APN setttings. Dead?

Running Fulmics 5.3 (since last Sunday, used since Version 1.0 without issues!)
Trying to get MMS working when a bluescreen popped up and I can't get the phone to boot, recovery or download mode.
A green screen came up once when trying to get download mode but I had to get my sim out, and now it won't come back.
Help! I need my phone

That must be some hardware problem. Are you sure that if your phone is not refurbished because after flashing a custom rom in a refurbished phone such problems occur. You better take it to some repairing shop this is your only option in my opinion because the same problem happened with my cousin LG G3 mobile. It was refurbished and after flashing a rom it was nearly dead.

Nope, it was brand new when it was first released.
Just got a D852 basically new for $100 so will try to fix it and sell it (unless any developer reading this wants it?)
