NO INTEROP-Install Here Drive+ and Here Maps on Lumia Device WIN 10

Just install Lumia Car App on your Phone from Store . After finish instaled this , open it and touch the Here Drive on the screen and follow the steeps . No necesary interop or hacking your registry . Just installed on my Lumia 640
Update on 23.01.2016
All this app is again on store , so no neccesary nothing else , just install all Here app from official Windows Store

I prefer the built-in Maps app anyway, but I just tested this out anyway... it doesn't work on the 950XL.

yeah, we know that... can easy install from "My library"
i installed many missing apps on that way on Lumia 640 (installed Lumia Panorama, old TuneIn Radio, old Camera 360 in that way)...
but W10M devices (950, XL and 550) cant install Here apps.

another easy way is to use luminous links app or sysapp pusher. worked fine here.

I reset my Lumia 640 yesterday (keeping nothing, even erasing the SD card and not even restoring my backup) and was surprised to find that Here Drive+ and Here Maps simply re-installed. In fact every app that came pre-installed (including a lot of AT&T bloatware) got re-installed, even though I had since upgraded to Windows 10. So, I didn't need to install the Lumia Car App or sideload the XAP files. I don't know why it worked automatically and effortlessly for me when other people have lost these apps and have had to manually re-install them.

is problem is only with Lumia 550, 950 and 950 XL (W10M devices)

OK, that's good to know. Still, the OP said that he has a 640, so that's why I responded. I have a 640, too, and didn't need to use the method that he offered.

I reset my 640. (w/OS build 10586.29) and I have been unable to reinstall HERE maps and drive despite trying the numerous methods enumerated in related threads.

I think this metod function only if you installed on your Lumia device with win 8.1 these apps , moved on the sdcard ,before upgrading to win 10 . The truth is i have this apps on my phone before and i dont erase the sdcard when i upgrade to win 10 . After that upgrade , the phone , keep my backup and reinstall all my apps from my outlook acount on the store . Try this metod , and if that work , just push the thancks button

I'm asked whether I would like to "Install app?". After pressing Install, it blanks for half a second and then returns to the file explorer without having installed anything.

I wish I did too. Alas, I prefer the clean UI of the Here apps over the new Microsoft Maps. It's too small and too cluttered for me.

Did you have any friend with a 640 or another Lumia with win8.1 who want to help you ?? Just put your outlook acount on it and download the Here , put your sdcard on this phone , and move the app in . After that move the sdcard on your phone , and reset , but dont erase your card

That's a pretty good suggestion. Unfortunately, I don't know a single other person who uses a Windows Phone where I live, let alone a 640.

Lumia 640 can't update - Low storage space

I'm currently running build 14393.5 on my Lumia 640 LTE. Up until this point I've never really had any update issues. Now that there's some RS2 builds out, I tried to update but I can't download the update because my device storage is full. It's not personal files or apps either, it's over 2gb of "Pending updates and preview builds." There's no option to clear this junk out, and trying to update only made it grow larger. Now I've got less than 400mb of space free, and it wants about 1.5gb for the latest update.
Does anyone else have this problem? Searching for answers only turns up one "solution", hard reset. I'm not prepared nor am I willing to hard reset just to clear out old files that should have deleted themselves after not being used. It's a hassle having to sideload all of my tools again for unlocking and customizing. I've thought about trying SFTP browsing for the temporary files, but I'd be willing to bet they can't manually be deleted, IF they can even be found/accessed.
Has anyone been able to clear the pending updates without doing a hard reset?

Maybe you missed my point.. I KNOW I have low storage space. It's not my own apps and files, it's temporary update files. I'm asking if anyone has ever been able to clear them without hard resetting.

In the late WP 8.1 days, Microsoft enabled the feature to use SD card's storage for WindowsUpdate in case Internal Storage was not sufficient.

Anyone else have a problem on the 635 with windows phone 10? Apps refuse to load at times like Messenger, Kik, facebook, cortana, camera, photos etc. Never had a problem with windows phone 8.. Second time having windows 10 on my phone and same results.. ??

if crash, try remove SD and SIM card, and boot phone without and use only WiFi connection. see how apps run now?
if too long load, try increase virtual memory (pagefile size) but first, you need interop unlock

Don't use the Messenger and Facebook beta from the store, install the old ones and let them update. For VM use 512 512, seems to work fine
Just in case, you may also have some leaks, try making a hard reset first and then edit the VM and after that download the apps
When i got the w10m(lumia 635), my internal memory was almost full (not possible because i had all the apps on SD) so i made a hard reset and the new fresh w10m was only using 2.5-3gb of internal instead of almost 7 like before, you may have some leaks aswell so i would recommend the hard reset first, then the boost to vm and after that install the apps. If you need the apps just ask!

Since when? i had it before my last hard reset and that was a few months ago(2-3)

The apps crash and are slow to load, I just hard reset my phone and same problems, removed the SD (no sim) and rebooted and had same problem.. I tried increasing the virtual memory from 256mb to 1024mb still same problem. Now more apps are deciding to do it too Microsoft edge, Outlook, Groove music, Store, instagram, FM Radio, Phone, Skype, vcREG, and wptweaker..

then your device have problems... facebook and mess is slow but is stable (never crashed on lumia 920, 925, 735...)... sometimes hard reset not solve anything (had one time similar problem, after hard reset still same problem with no WiFi)... hard reset just delete apps and settings but if some problem in system wont help... try use WDRT to flash again device, and upgrade to W10M and see how work... if this not help, maybe something with hardware... if possible, in official repair servis ask for hardware diagnostics

i think you are changing the VM value but you are not checking if the value is actually changing from storage sense, you probably go to 0 vm but don't worry, 0 vm has a fix without having to hard reset. Check if that's the case

So you changed the VM and also made a hard reset and the problem is still there? then dxdy is right, your device has problems...

I think my problems are gone now My phone updated to redstone and it stopped crashing in most apps it's only big apps that are still doing it

I had w10m with insider long time ago, i got off the insider program and my device now has w10m by default instead of 8.1 so i guess the answer to that is yes.

I just apply this method to my sdcard located in d:\ like this :
1 ) format SD card (NTFS)
2 ) create a folder in this location : C:\Data\PROGRAMDATA\SOFTWAREDISTRIBUTION
3 ) create a folder in SD card : D:\Data
4 ) open cmd as administrator
5 ) type : mklink /j D:\Data C:\Data\PROGRAMDATA\SOFTWAREDISTRIBUTION
6 ) plug the SD Card into mobile and go search for update
the update dowloaded on sdcard then it will install to internal storage.
Now my phone lumia 530 have latest build 15063.251 without removing apps from c:\

it's just folder to store SOFTWAREDISTRIBUTION files in it and can be any name.

sorry for late response , this method is what i use to download all files on sdcard and its slow.

this error i get it before and i think the problem is that you havent space on your phone.
There is a different builds from windows 10 . and creators build in lumia 950 xl it not the same creators build in other phones .
just hack you phone with lumia 950 xl like what i did before , follow the method and you will get it on your phone.
don't forget to do reset before apply this method.

Guys this method just store build files on sd card ,so if your phone have no space the installation will fail after downloading the build files

I do not recommend installing the build 15063.251 512 RAM
Works slow on these phones
If it is a daily phone it is not the best idea

there is some problems in this build :
Microsoft edge not stable and will crash every time (This can be solved by installing any browser from the store)
the screen bigger than device screen when you rotate the phone to the right
all games will crash
this build need more ram and devices with 512 ram will not be good on this build

Had a right nightmare with Lumia 950xl so I given up on that then tired Lumia 550 with no issues didn't even needed this trick to get it working. Thanks for your help but I surly probably using this in the near future

Nokia 3.2 pushes broken official update to Android 11

Several people have been reporting that on various Nokia phones (at least on Nokia 3.2 and 4.2), the latest official Android 10-to-11 update is broken.
Cannot download files, images or watch videos on my WhatsApp, had to reset my phone(Nokia 3.2) for the third time. This started after I updated to android 11.

Yes, I confirm that I have issues with the SD-card as well. The phone was several time stating that I had to insert it again. All my photos were lost, probably other data as well.

Yesterday my Phone asked for an system update. Since than I have problems. In WhatsApp it is't possible to download pictures. It says download failed ore something like that in Dutch. Ik After reinstaling I have now the problem that the backup hasn't set back. When taking pictures it isn't shown in the gallery. Can anyone help me? Thank you in advance.

I have the same issue with my Nokia 3.2, down to every detail (missing photos in /DCIM/Camera, WhatsApp unable to save any photos even though it has all file access permissions it asked for).
The specific setup I had was that I used a SD card as "internal storage" (photos and apps were installed on it).
After the upgrade I don't see any of my old photos, I can't access the card at all when I try to load it in another Nokia phone or insert it in my Windows laptop, I can't even navigate the filesystem with adb shell.
Is there any hope of fixing this or getting another update that will restore access to the files? Or can we simply consider that the data is lost?

I confirm that I also lost all files on the SD card that was configured as internal storage after upgrading my Nokia 4.2 (TA-1157) to Android 11. In my case it s is a 64 GB SD card.
I did a dd on Linux in an attempt to recover the files, but without success. I'm afraid that the upgrade repartitioned the SD Card. After some reading it seems that the internal storage extension on an SD Card is encrypted. How can I get access to the key? Did anybody manage to recover the lost files after the upgrade?
