Thanks. I hate Verizon

Yes it is DT Ignite. Good thing is we can now disable it from Application Manager.
Yep shag is right. Just go in the application manager and show system apps. From there just usable DT Ignite. It's what I always do.
For reference: there were no apps pushed to my phone on VZW.
I disabled DT Ignite anyway.
Mine didn't have any pushed right away but as I did with other phones first thing I do is disable dt ignite. I can't remember which phone it was but one had dt ignite but waited a but bit before pushing apps. It seems to be a race with me when I boot a phone for the first time to get past set up and disable that thing before it loads apps lol

The ability to wipe your device remotely is already offered on Android, it's under the google settings. As far as if it will be annoying, it would drive me nuts but it may not bother you. I find it to be far too intrusive and it's just something running in the background consuming resources/battery. It is possible, but an anti virus is not truly needed. Just don't download sketchy sh!t and stay away from untrusted websites. I personally disabled it immediately.
I had auto updates on so my phone only told me that three updates were done in the Update Center. No log of what they were.
Anyone know?

Those are not system updates, they are the LG apps that got updated like lg keyboard and other stuff from LG. Not sure why they can't put in the play store like HTC, Motorola instead of having one more useless app store like Samsung.
No one said they are system updates.
Software updates from the LG Update app. I already did the Keyboard update days before, so it wasn't that.
3 other packages were updated.

It's not an app store like Samsung, it's just an internal update system. The two are really different.
I don't care for the keyboard update. It messes up a lot of the auto correct.

I find the update did better for autocorrect than it did before plus I love seeing the word I am swiping go through the transition.

Try typing the word "you'd". Does it recognize it? Also, try ending a sentence with the word "at" and then type a period. Does it switch it to e.g.?

Why would we want a keyboard to decide what you should be saying?
I have an English degree and I frequently use intentionally bad grammar for various reasons. This is a huge reason I can't use Swiftkey either. Both of them are hell-bent on turning your typing into a single style with a concrete set of rules and patterns. Let ME decide what I want to say.

What the best way to be able to remove bloat wear from Samsung and ATT? I know a specific ROM would help but If I want to stay with stock, can I get ride of this?
Thanks

This is all I could do also.. you can disable most of the bloat.. but it's still there taking up space.
I wonder though.. does disabling really disable everything ? Without extensive testing and monitoring.. one can only wonder..

Ok. I thought you disabled the apps using the Settings>Application Manager route. In the application manager you can see many other apps also which are not listed as your apps but are running in the background and can be disabled. Also, using this method, for each app you can first clear the data and cache before disabling / turning off the app thereby freeing up some more space taken by these apps.
I would love to know this as well, specifically the ones not found in the app drawer
Is disabling the app like freezing the app?

Without root you probably can't freeze apps. You can probably only turn them off
Anyone have a list of AT&T's Bloatware that comes on this phone and what can be uninstalled or disabled?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using XDA Free mobile app
The usual stuff is on it...I got mine 2 days ago...but all of it can be disabled but not uninstalled.
Is the stage fright update there or will they push it out later.
Lol...I don't know how to check for that...tell me how and I'll check
Can't u use Package Disable Pro to freeze all unwanted bloat along with AT&T OTA software. Shouldn't have to be root as I done wife S6 Active & it worked fine.

Did you find any apps/.apks that are CheetahMobile/CleanMaster crapware?
I didn't see anything obvious (on my T-Mobile variant),but,I suspect some of the apps with the "Smart" in the app/.apk name may be their garbage.
I'm hoping this crapware,if it's installed, isn't hidden as it is on the AT&T/VZW models of the Note 5.

I pretty much just clicked anything that had the word Verizon in it or didn't look horrible. Lord knows what I managed to screw up doing it but everything is running fine until I get a verified disable "OK" list. I didn't really hunt for any apks or apps in particular -- I figure I'd let the pros do it ;P

Yeah it's not the greatest but it still works well in chrome. Also you get to use everything that you normally do. I personally set up a button widget to turn the VPN on or off.
FWIW, I have the paid version of adguard and find it works extremely well. With paid version you have https ad blocking, in-app ad blocking, and some other useful features. I forget if these additional features are available on free version. But for non rooted phones, I think this is a great option.
Also, Crystal for Samsung Browser will block ads in their app. I don't really have a need for it but it's there anyway lol.

It's super important that you reenable all apps that you've disabled with Package Disabler before you do any update. I learned that the hard way once and my phone was all screwy until I did a factory reset.
