Anyone have a list of AT&T's Bloatware that comes on this phone and what can be uninstalled or disabled?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using XDA Free mobile app
The usual stuff is on it...I got mine 2 days ago...but all of it can be disabled but not uninstalled.
Is the stage fright update there or will they push it out later.
Lol...I don't know how to check for that...tell me how and I'll check
Can't u use Package Disable Pro to freeze all unwanted bloat along with AT&T OTA software. Shouldn't have to be root as I done wife S6 Active & it worked fine.

Received my GS6E+ yesterday and forgot to compile a list, I will say there's a lot of Bloatware from AT&T and while most of it can be disabled only a few can be completely uninstalled

Attached is the list of everything I disabled, the only bloat I kept was the My AT&T app

It looks like ATT's S6 Edge+ has one stagefright vulnerability still. I checked with the app below.

That would be Knox. If you use TiBu to freeze KnoxAgent, you should get rid of that prompt.
Since yesterday getting these popup ads...very annoying...can't find which app is causing it. . Tried airpush detector already have trustgo installed.. checked with Norton as well. .can't trace it. Sometimes its annoying ads and some times it opens a Web page showing solo media website.
Anybody experienced these kind of issues... Any fix. .. Please help .

Done. But no use. 2 more screenshots..
I have had the same annoying pop-up ads that looked like this "your Android memory is too low, please clean it up" or something like that, when I pressed "OK" button I just was redirected to "Du Booster" app. So Ad-blocking app is your friend, and for me the best is Adaway.:good:
I had these starting yesterday. I just had to restore my phone to a backup in the end. I got rid of lots of apps and the aware ones didn't find anything

adblock plus is what i use and it works perfectly.
Adblock Adaway or the xposed mod minminguard. As long as you are rooted they should all stop the adds and pop ups

I am not rooted. Can somebody help me.

One more new popup.

If you are not rooted the only option is to uninstall the app which is giving you the pop up. I don't know of any pop up blocker that doesn't require root

Yes... I am trying to do the same .. but unable to find the app that is causing it .. most of my apps installed are from reviews from top Android forums and few games only.
I have uninstalled almost 10 apps in suspicion .. but still can't trace the culprit.
Hurray... Finally got hold of the culprit.
It was named com.scloud.... (Didn't remember the full name)
Initially thought it was system app but when going thru all suspicious names found that there is an option to uninstall which is not available for sys apps.
After I installing it alk these ads are gone.

I have had all these removed from my device since 4.4.2 was released - knox stuff I just removed today
I have turned my device on and off and put it through its test to make sure its running correctly
Everything that is in this list is what im comfortable removing and I have no need for
**NOTE **- I take no responsibility on you following this list , this is just what I have removed and having Zero issues at the moment and sharing with you all
Remove at YOUR own risk !!!
I also have several things frozen and I will update what I have frozen once I have used my phone for the week making sure it is ok

There's already a list and a tool that removes them here-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=52455864
This app has allowed me to freeze so much bloat it is unbelievable. You can even disable KNOX which may lead to Root???
Should we start a list of disabled apps and services with no issues on AT&T Note 5?
I froze a lot off apps and did the silent Uninstall for a few too. Just simple apps I knew wouldn't mess with anything.

Does this app work any differently from the built in disabling ability?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
Yes! You can disable anything you want
Did anyone disable KNOX related services? If so, did you notice any side effects?
I froze everything Knox related and so much more! This is pretty cool to get rid of bloat always running

Does it actually add any benefit by freezing these apps? Does it make the device faster?

I disabled a bunch of system apps and the note 5 started restarting randomly every 2-3 hours. Anyone else have this happen? I disabled all of the apps automatically disabled by Package Disabler Pro.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
Nope, I think you have a defective device. Try unistalling the app to see if you have reboots
Sorry noob question, why are we disabling knox? Also will it affect Samsung pay?
I already disabled all bloatware including knox and some at&t bloatware, hancom office, s voice and some others using same app .
Samsung pay doesn't work until September 28th anyway I think so I assume we won't figure that out until then. I would like to give it a try. I thought it was just like Google Wallet and used NFC, but it's different.

In the Play store marketing video, the disable feature stops 80 apps. The re-enable feature starts 89 apps. What.

How does this play with the built in "disable" function? I have disabled all the att stuff via the default touchwiz / app manager. Package disabler shows them as bloatware with the option to disable, but they are supposed to be disabled already. Do I need to go through app manager and enable all in order to disable them (and more) with "Package Disabler"?

I didn't, just disabled them through the app. Not sure exactly what the difference is.

The OS allows you to disable the bloat
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
I know is allows you to disable some of the bloat, which I have done. However package disabler reports those same apps as "ready to disable". I would have expected it to recognize them as disabled and report that status.
There is another discussion in the Note5 forum

Yes it is DT Ignite. Good thing is we can now disable it from Application Manager.
Yep shag is right. Just go in the application manager and show system apps. From there just usable DT Ignite. It's what I always do.
For reference: there were no apps pushed to my phone on VZW.
I disabled DT Ignite anyway.
Mine didn't have any pushed right away but as I did with other phones first thing I do is disable dt ignite. I can't remember which phone it was but one had dt ignite but waited a but bit before pushing apps. It seems to be a race with me when I boot a phone for the first time to get past set up and disable that thing before it loads apps lol
