Can i flash the .200 firmware from this website onto my "generic LAM" international?
I have an "international" model that i believe is the LAM (Latin American Model) and i want to downgrade from .224 to .200 (for ivoryroott to backup DRM before bootloader unlocking) The only place i can find any .200 software is from the linked site below. I want to make sure its safe for me to follow this website and flash this firmware so has anyone used this website before? What gets me concerned is that at the end of the firmware file that you download to downgrade your phone, it has "_NCB" this makes me worry its for a particular model... I have plenty of experience with android and development but this is my first sony phone. Also, ive already checked XperiFirm and it doesnt have any software for any of our models BEFORE the .224 or .254 firmwares which i thought was weird.

Thank you guys for any help!
SOLVED: yes i can lol
Oh forgot to add that it is the 6853 model

You can find firmwares here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-T805/

The Brazilian variants are SM-G9600 (S9) and SM-G9650 (S9+), same as the Chinese version, using Snapdragon 845 and 128GB of internal storage. The Brazilian firmware country code is ZTO, if you search the firmware using SamFirm it will point you to ZHU firmwares (it is considered a Hong Kong/China firmware but this is a generic firmware).

You mean, flashing a G9600 ROM in your G960U device?
I'm not sure if that will work.

I saw the 9600 rom is a 128gb and dual sim version, but the 960F is 64gb and single sim as the 960U is.
Do you think the 960F ZTO will work in the 960U?
thanks

I don't have experience with flashing Roms from different variants in Samsung devices.
I recommend searching this information with users who are experienced at flashing with Samsung devices before doing any action.

What I found is that It could or couldn't work.
I want to try but I'm afraid of bricking the device.
Hi all,
1- I have S20 ultra G9880 model. But I'm using it in Egypt so my provider csc is different than the firmware's csc. Since then, I never recieved OTA updates although there were multiple updates and I had to download the whole firmware and install it with odin. So is there a way to get OTA updates back to work?
2- I read on some other websites that there is a way to flash firmware from different model (for example G988U) on any snapdragon based model (like the one I had) but this has to be done with a patched Odin so it will ignore the model differences. My question is, is this correct? if so can some one post the link to this patched odin ? or is there another way to flash a firmware of different model but with snapdragon processor in it?
Thanks in advance
I've not heard of this being possible before. But even if it were possible, flashing the firmware for the US model, wouldn't do you any good either, since that firmware doesn't have support for Egypt either. On top of that, the US model supports different bands that your phone doesn't, hence the difference in the modem.

Well, I wanted to install the US firmware mainly to be able to use the One UI 3.0 beta.
If there is another way to install it on my phone without flashing the US firmware then I'd be grateful to know
Sounds like a recipe for a disaster...

Did you flash the same Firmware (CSC) to get OTA's? Samsung sends updates, not your service provider regardless of your location so it's odd you're not receiving them.
On the SM-G9880 there are only 3 FW's compatible for flashing, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China. Android 11, One Ul 3.0 isn't yet available for your device however the Source Code is online. Likely you're better off waiting a bit longer, it should be available for your device by the end of the year.

With respect to updates if you own a PC often times Samsung's Smart Switch platform will distribute these before OTA's become avaliable which eliminates the need to flash your device.
I unlock My Note 10+ 5g(At&t) SM-N976U from At&t..But it won't give me software update.. It stuck on anroaid 10 one ui 2..and i live in Bangladesh so i can't use At&t for software update..so how can i update my phone to one ui 3 any solution?? Thanks
You won't get automatic updates outside US.
You can download the firmware and flash it yourself using Odin software tool.
There is plenty of threads in this forum that explain the process.
Latest firmware for your model can be found through this thread.
Flashing is well explained here, although it is for another model so don't flash the firmware referenced there.
All at your own risk. Inform yourself well before starting to flash!
