Hi. I was using G3 D855 on stock V30H (rooted, with TWRP) Yesterday i've connected my LG to pc via USB, but it only charges. When i disconnected phone it still was charging (flash on battery icon)need to reset. Same on original G3 charger. I was thinking thats a Rom error so i've flashed newest clean Fulmics, but the effect was still the same! Next step was flashing KDZ with LG Flashhtool. Phone was not detected when i plug usb when phone in DOWNLOAD MODE. My phone is on warranty.
Here's the questions:
1. Can i fix that, or is that hardware problem?
2. If it's hardware problem can i go back to stock with stock recovery via TWRP without using LG flash tool?
3.If no, can LG cancel my warranty because i'm rooted and on custom rom?
Sorry for my english.
Please help me
Try USB OTG cable, if the usb doesn't get powered/recognized then the usb port is probably dead. Also under dev settings theres USB options, check if its not on charging only.

So the story goes as this:
ATT G3 accidentally flashed a D851 rom... phone rebooted now its a hard brick
I have tried every method to restore it to stock (lg flashtool 2014 and old flash tool method, tried enter TWRP nothing happened)
My phone is detected as it were in Download mode, but it doesnt let me flash anything.
I downloaded the "generic" LGUP8794.dll and tried to flash stock D850 and stock D851, jeez I even tried to flash LS990 stock rom... same error every time.
Downloaded stock D850PR20A_01.kdz and tried to flash it through Flashtool 2014 and just getting error...
I'm really out of options now.
I dont have warranty so its out of question the "return my phone" thing.
Thanks in advance for any reply or suggestion.
PD: I get no "QHUSB" or "fastboot" mode either.
Try using a different usb port. LG flash tool hates USB 3.0 so use USB 2.0

I have tried with 3 different computers, one with XP, Win7 and win8.1
I never use USB3.0 unless its with a memory stick
Can you go into download mode??

No, No Download mode, but my phone is connected as it were in download mode.
My screen is good, I know cuz when i connect the usb without battery it lights up and shows an image of "missing batt"
No TWRP either
Any update on this? I just rooted my D850PR and then used AutoREC to install TWRP, then I turned it off to reboot but it never booted...it also lights up the display when connecting the USB cable without the battery but that's all it does

i cant believe there is no clear solution for the LG G3 brick.
There is a solution
I have faced this issue with my LS990. accidentally flashed D855 ROM then bricked. THere is a unbricking method which is very hard and you have to do it with patience.
Try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/unbrick-lg-g3-qhsusbbulk-qualcomm-9008-t3072091
You might want to short 2 pins of G3 motherboard. message me if this method didn't work.
Good luck matehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/unbrick-lg-g3-qhsusbbulk-qualcomm-9008-t3072091
I had that problem, flashed d855 rom on a d850pr, and it went into bootloop, but I just went into recovery, flashed a D850 rom and everything worked fine. I did have your problem once, but with a LG Optimus L2, I tried on windows 8 and 7 but the LGflashtool always stop with errors, until I tried on XP, i could restore it. (sorry for the english)

Hey guys, just want to root my LG G3 (never rooted before) these day but failed for many ways. But computer said the MTP is not working while I entered download mode (code 10 error). I have tried a lot of way to solve the problem but still not success. Mine is in 5.0 with software version V21A. Someone told me V21A is unable to root. Is there any solution to it? Wanna downgrade back to kitkat cuz 5.0 drains battery in really a short period of time.
Hi, be sure to install the right mtp drivers for your phone. Do a quick web search on that. Also, disable any antivirus on your phone and make sure that you use the right usb cable. Some usb cables are not designed for data transfer - just for charging. The stock cable should work.
I have installed incorrect firmware on my G3 D855.
After uploading the firmware for G3 D858 (Dual SIM) I don't seem to have any WiFi connection, nor SIM card can be connected. The biggest issue is, however, that the USB is not recognized anymore on my computer.
I have tried installing the latest LG drivers but this does not help. Download mode can be started, however, due to the USB issue phone does not appear in the device manager. I am afraid I have messed up the phone completely. Is there any possible idea how to recover to D855 firmware?
Thanks

Your phone is running....right....try to install driver manually.....or you can do one thing try to install twrp and flash stock rom twrp
Hi guys,
Please bear with me as I'm new to this scene.
My LG G3 Cat.6 (F460L) is currently stuck in bootloop, can't enter recovery mode as well but it can go through download mode but my PC won't recognize it (tried different usb cables and tried it on another PC, still no luck). I made an error when I was trying to flash twrp into recovery but accidentally flashed it to boot (I was quite unsure about what I did but I think I flashed a wrong version of twrp for recovery and tried to reflash the right version but accidentally flashed it to boot, if that made sense). I was able to get into the factory wipe screen and after pressing yes it goes right into bootloop again. Was also able to get into another screen with turn on, turn off and cancel options but I'm not sure what it does because it's all in korean. My PC can't recognize my device right before this happened so I think that explains why it also can't recognize it while in download mode. I saw something about Qualcomm stuff but I'm unsure as to how it is done (the shortpin part) and i don't think my PC would even recognize it as it can't even recognize my device in the first place (faulty micro usb port I guess). Any fix that you guys can think of? Thank you very much!
Hi everyone! First i'd like to apologize for any english mistakes, since i'm brazillian! Here's the thing... Recently, i`ve updated my LG G3 with a 6.0 Marshmallow rom (from lg-roms website), and after some tests, i've decided to go back to 5.0 Lollipop. But here's the problem: when i tried to load the new room via lg flash tool, i get some errors, saying that my phone is not connected (just when i'm in the download mode). When i try to flash with the phone on, the lg flash tool recognizes him, begins the installation and reboots the fone to the download mode, but when the download mode initializes, the software shows the same message (that he is not connected). Also, i`ve tried to root the phone with kingroot (a bunch of versions) and i never get succesful. Can anyone help me with a solution so i can go back to 5.0?
Thank you gustavorossy for your post,
Same problem here. In addition, to make the phone recognize the pluged usb, I have to :
1- turn it off
2- plug the usb cable
3- turn it on with the cable pluged
Otherwise, if I turn it on without the cable pluged, or if it reboots during utilization, the phone don't detect the charger nor the PC or any other connection, till I follow the steps above. So it makes it impossible to go stock for exemple.
Except it, everything is working well and I tried to install various custom ROMs none of them fixed the problem.
Thanks a lot for any help.
