XTREMEMusic™ SOUND MOD Installation issues

Hi to all,
I've decided to create this thread in order to discuss this amazing sound MOD and the possible problems/ difficulties that we got in order to install it in our G4.
Currently the MOD is in version 7.0.3 but it's not compatible with G4 MM ROM's.
I've tried several ways to install with no luck, sometimes it's stops starting system or after the phone boot, there is no sound app installed.
I'm running Genisys 3.4 ROM (because had a lot of problem with the installation on 3.5) and running the MOD version 6.0 (I've not tried 6.2 because of some report about bad bass, and 6.0 has an amazing sound to me).
When reporting our case, please mention SO version (LP, MM, etc), ROM (stock, CM, genisys), busybox app, SElinux profile and superuser version, in order to understand and help each others!

I'd love assistance/advice as well. I'm attempting to install Xtreme Music on my VS986 ( Verizon G4) and can't find any direct instructions.

Installing V4A or other audio mods

Hello everybody. I have Magisk and couldn't install Viper module, neither the usual viper .zip via TWRP.
Have you been able to install any of the available audio mods on your Z2 Play?

I too am interested.
I prefer the Atmos version, ViPERAtmos 4.8 Sony Beats Universal Edition, but I don't think it's compatible with Nougat.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks! I've looked at ARISE a few times, but it seems life meant steps to install. I guess I'm going to have to bear it.
Does it sound as good at Atmos?

I manage to install it. It's overall pretty simple. You can extract the installation .prop file to /emulated/0 and edit it there to get a 1 cycle install. Otherwise your first try will do just that and return an error (so you'll have to edit the file anyways).
I tried all versions of viper there but none worked (all showed abnormal status) also, remember to mark for installation the Magisk compatibility.
I'm using Atmos, working very nicely, but still wish Viper had worked...

That's weird, I have Viper and atmos working in my device. Previously I set SElinux permissive and installed Busybox

Oh that must be it. I have it on enforcing. Will test with permissive then. Thanks!

OP 5t Problem with any Sound-DSP Mod

Hi,
I have tried to install Sound-DSPs on my OP 5t via latest Magisk, like Viper4FX 2.5, James DSP, Sauron MK III and Audio Modification Library 2.1. Everytime, when I enable the DSP it works, BUT I get little sound stutters on Playback, No matter what DSP i try to install. No matter whether i Install a single DSP or a pair/bunch with AML 2.1. As far as I know, i tried all kind of workarounds/guides to fix this frustrating problem with no success. A fluent playback with no sound-interference doesn't seem to be possible for me.
I tried the following steps:
- wipe phone & Install clean Stock-Rom ( twice tried with OS 8.1 and 9)
- root with Twrp & Magisk (everytime)
- tried with various versions of Viper4FX
- tried combos via Magisk modules:
1. Viper4FX 2.5, Sauron MK III, James DSP, AML 2.1)
2. Viper4FX 2.5, Sauron MK III, AML 2.1
3. JamesDSP, Sauron MK III, AML 2.1
4. JamesDSP, Viper4FX 2.5, AML 2.1
- tried only one DSP from the above mentioned as single DSP
- tried with SELinux "Permissive" and "Enforcing"
- tried with Stock-Kernel and Smartpack-Kernel
- tried different Kernel-Governors ( Performance-Governors helped a bit)
The funny thing is, that i even tried it with Stock-Rom based on OS 7.1 Nougat. In this OS the DSPs worked fluently(!), but other Apps didn't work correctly. On my old OP 3T with OS 7.1 everything worked fluently, too. In my opinion, there seems to be a problem with OS Versions above 7.1 Nougat. I've read a few things about audiolatency-problems in Android-Versions >= Oreo. Could it be, that with every new OS-Version that is released, the developers try to make it even more difficult for mods, to work in the correct way? Are the Android devs just sloppy?
Is someone able to help me with this annoying problem, please? (Renounce of a DSP is not an option for me, because I need good sound on my phone)

[Mod/Magisk] Dolby Atmos™ [A9-12 ][OOS A10 + A11 Custom](Updated 6-25-21) full brightness fixes

So recently @guitardedhero release and version of Dolby atmos for android Pie and i was excite about it but it only for for android pie only,so i try downgrade back to 9.0.17 but apparently the mod cause the phone go straight to crashdump mode and like hour ago he release couple more version but i was already on android 10 but after messing around with flash script i was able flash it on OOS10 imma attach the file i mod here for specific only for OOS10 only since this the only version that work flawless on OOS10 other test version i try they either force close the app or audio loss, highly recommended flash it along with Ainur Narsil---haven't test with other mod yet but in my opinion Dolby itself already better

UPDATE: latest dolby re-port by reiryuki fixes full brightness issue working on (maybe)all custom rom available now for Oneplus 6t and maybe other device has FOD custom rom ! please head to his github repo link below for the download!

You had any sound mod install? And what magisk version you had?

I have install the Dolby atoms only and no audio mod. Latest magisk 20.3 and I try to set the storage it won't open the permission.how to get granted permission to the storage.

Like dolby ask you to granted storage permission or magisk? Cause dolby not require to Grant any permission as far as i know!there is couple people has successful installed it without any issue so far

Use Magisk 20.1 try it and test if works then update to Magisk 20.3 done

i wonder we loose modules or not after we downgrade to 20.1 ?
also dolby still works when we upgrade back to 20.3 ?

Can it work simultaneously with Dolby digital plus?
Also do I need to install anything (AML)?

I got working on 20.1 but i notice the Bluetooth not working after I install the zip file.

If you remove module Bluetooth is not longer working

Well guy there is a news testing zip... currently at work now but ill test it after work and let you guy know! I still using the same zip and don't has any problem with Bluetooth or anything but ill update the new zip here a little bit!

I was reading through a lot of that thread and it looks like it's still based for pie and there was a section in there saying that you have to change your build prop setting to SDK level 28 if you are on oxygen 10 and Android 10 you'll be SDK 29 so I was getting force closes and I took a big risk when do the build prop edited my SDK level 228 and went straight into a bootloop. So I had to actually do a factory reset. I then restore from twrp, but I screwed up and restored everything what I should have just done a system and data restore only because then I did a soft brick and had to use the MSM tool and start all over again at Android 9! Lol.. so I know guitardedhero was making special media files for audio library they were . so extensions... I'm going to keep digging because on Android 10 I've got ice sound working which is an Asus driver and I can even change the four configurations as well as the 11 different sound profiles fall through terminal emulator. I also have a flashable DTS 2.0

Yeah that what im concerned about to change the builprop SDK to 28 instead of that i change a code on the zip so it bypass the SDK check to able it flash on SDK 29....it was a test but apparently i didn't has any problem about a Bluetooth or anything! And there is couple people successful flash it as well but imma caught up with lastest zip and lemme see if i could mod it to work on OOS 10!and yep by default it only support Android pie only! So imma try troubleshooting as much as possible before releasing it!

Updated to latest Dolby Atmos 0.727 zip and it attached on the first page... I'll leave 0.64 zip there just in case anyone need it! And once 727 zip it work without any problem on 10.3.0 for me at least (testing on AAC,LDAC even aptx HD) but let me know

I would like to personally apologise to you for posting information that caused much frustration and inconvenience for you.
That was irresponsible of me to state workarounds to circumvent a restriction I implemented without knowing the risks that could be involved and not just taking out the restriction myself.
Thank you for sharing your experience. If I had not seen it just now, I would have still assumed such an action you took to be harmless.
I did remove this restriction many versions ago after learning that many were having success on Android 10 and the latest zip a couple hours ago seems to provide a much higher success rating and the support for existing audio mods and their effects seems to now be in place if you ever get an itch to try again without needing to do any hacky, ill-advised stuff like what I said last week.

Hi everyone. My name is Skulldron and for those of you who do recognise me, know me as the creator of Project Pixel, another one of the greatest ways to emulate the Pixel Experience, whilst keeping all the benefits of using OneUI and its stock optimized drivers as its base. Today I'm going to introduce something, different. 3. Flash the zip and flash Magisk.
Notes:
- To view Battery Stats and Storage, pull down the Quick Settings Panel and on the top right click the three bubbles button and then Button Order. Then move the new Battery and Storage icon to the Quick Settings.
- Set Trebuchet as default launcher, for better battery savings. OneUI Home was only included for its app switcher.

Yes it is running the base from a Note FE. In particular the SuperLegerra ROM

wow, ... and echo cancellation works perfect ... but two things that I miss so far
the option "kill app back button" in the settings -> developer options ... please don't forget to build-in
the possibility to mount the SD card in the file system

I have little experience with custom roms etc. I had installed LineageOS some moths ago as my phone was working poorly on stock rom and now with LOS 17.1 was starting to have problems again. Like an hour ago decided after some research to install this rom. However, after flasing the rom and magisk (I couldnt flash Gapps as error 20 appeared), my phone got completely stuck on boot picture (SAMSUNG GALAXY S7; POWERED BY ANDROID). I have both tried to get into twrp (previously installed) and download mode. No luck in any of the cases. I have tried to do the same from odin, to flash again twrp. However, as I cannot access download mode, I didnt work.
Now, I´m trying my best to figure out how to install some OS and continue from there, or at least be able to flash twrp and install another ROM.
I would much appreciate any advice in the matter.

I've installed magisk 21.1, riru core 21.3 , and riru YAHFA 0.4.6.4 EdXposed manager shows framework not active :/

Does mobile hotspot work?
I've been looking for a ROM that has kept the Samsung gallery and camera so I want to try this ROM. but I need to be able to use mobile hotspot so please let me know if it works fine. Thx

Hello, the ROM works great. There are some minor things. Like always on display does not work with option to tap the screen to show for 10 seconds. Also for some reason I can't instal Revolut from the play store. And lastly Titanium backup does not restore all the apps. I could not figure out a way how to make that work.

The hotspot works fine on mine.
I had the same issue with Titanium backup.
In the end I used split screen and installed each app from the play store, then restored data only.
Has anyone got xposed working?

Do I need to flash gapps or is it included?
I'm currently using lineage is 16 with gapps. Do I need to flash gapps again if flashing a ROM again? Sorry I'm a newbie.

@Skulldron, thanks for the ROM, works great and it's stable. Just few things. Could you please update the Adaway app? There is a newer stable version on xda available. I tried to update it myself but it was not possible. Also could you please fix the Always on display function? The tap on screen option does not work.

As I experienced from other ROM that based on Note FE base, the Galaxy S7 cant show AOD with tap to show mode due to hardware problem, so please choose always show option on the setting

Flashing a different rom, I do like this rom but need xposed and it's annoying that YouTube and adaway are system apps.

Youtube and Adaway can be removed with System App remover or Link2sd from Play Store. Then you restart the S7 and install Adaway from github and Vanced.app

I do like this rom, espicially the first boot right after install, which was really fast, made an impression. Probably the most battery friendly and lite-weight One UI-Rom one can find. One usability problem for me was the *missing feature that increased touch sensitivity*. With my screenprotector on, I have to push harder and several times before successfully pulling down the notification bar or when writing or selecting.

Is it just me or is SmartSwitch taking a long time/not restoring messages? I get to the part when it would start restoring messages but then it just never loads.. other then that, the ROM is great!
