Best ROM for oneplus 3 in terms of battery life? - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

With so many Rom options available for the Oneplus 3 it becomes difficult for the users to decide which rom is best for which purpose. For example , Resurrection Remix ROM is the best in terms of customization options. I am looking for a ROM that has the best battery life. So any suggestion guys?
Thanx
Mod Edit: Moved to Q&A.

There is no "best battery rom". But i would go with oos or h2oos since the others camera quality isnt that good atm.
And you should ask questions in the questions & answers section

people still ask this question... its subjective and pretty hard to give anybody a correct answer for a subjective question

It depends on one's personal taste. But i am a stock oos liker so i come to use Freedom Os on my op3.Freedom os is basically stock rom with some polished additions. It has a beautiful AROMA installer. Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/development/rom-freedomos-1-0-t3409348

Sultan just released his op3 rom. I've had for a month as a beta tester and it's been fantastic.

Thinking of using a custom ROM?

Hello guys! I'm currently on OxygenOS 3.5.2 Community Build and the battery life sucks! I'm wondering if I should switch to a custom ROM + kernel, and if I should, which combination is the best?
There are so many options to choose from and it is very confusing.
1. What ROMs are suggested for best battery life?
2. Which kernel is suggested for best battery life?
3. What is the difference between the FreedomOS based on Stable and Community Build? Which is better?
4. How's the battery life of FreedomOS like?
5. What are some bugs that I should look out for?
I'm kind of leaning towards OxygenOS based ROMs for the stock camera quality. Is there anyway that the other non-OxygenOS based ROMS can achieve similar or equal quality?
I hope you experts can assist me, kind of new to this device and the custom ROM/kernel scene.
Thanks!
NucleaROM has the best battery life, it is smoother than any other ROM I have tried, it has the OOS camera port availability etc.
The $1m question, there is no one answer to this. Best advice would be to try out ROMs for yourself, personally I would stick with the kernel provided with the rom as once you start mixing and matching the chances of hitting the best combo for your unique usage becomes less and less.
Two bits of hard advice though, 1. Backup your current rom before starting and transfer the backup to a pc. 2. Judging battery life of a new rom is a lengthy process so give it a good 3-4 days for your usage pattern to settle down before passing judgement on the expected battery life.

suggest a stable Rom

Post it own opinion
so for the usual "this month's" question...i suggest freedom ce and experience os. tho each of them have their own quirk, but it's stable. maybe the issues's with me, but some custom rom really have some daily usage/stability problem like dialer app crashing or alarm not ringing while they list the rom as "bugs free". obviously i have not tried all the roms or done extensive performance testing on them, so this is just my opinion.

Please post your opinion thank you!
I personally don't use OOS since ages because of the terrible android system drain I got back then. Not sure how it is now but I basically fell in love with VertexOS. VertexOS has been the stablest rom I have tried. Even the Testbuilds on the Slack channel are really stable. The dev definitely knows what he is doing and is putting blood sweat and tears into optimizing the rom. if you are looking for a stable minimalistic rom, with great peformance and decent battery life Vertex is the way to go.
You can basically never go wrong with a Sultan rom
I sugest Sultans Nougat build(if you want theming through Substratum use Matssas builds, for me it was just as stable). Other then that AOSPA, although I sugest you wait for the next build since high idle drain is a known issue.
Both Sultan and AOSPA is known for high quality camera by custom rom standard.
Phoenix aex is the best right now. Best performance and battery life without any modifications
Go with ...Phoenix AOSP ?
Yep, Phoenix AES.
Sultanxda lineage OS is working perfectly.
Have tried RR, Phoenix, Freedom and a couple of more.. Loved all of them to be honest.. But felt experience lite was the best of them..
Yup.. Just a personal opinion..
try Paranoid Android, tons of features, great battery life and (ALMOST) bug free and stable, but keep in mind that OxygenOS or OxygenOS based roms have the most stability ...
Using freedom os + bluspark kernel + akt hawkpepper! Moderate use but too much of voice and duo calls! This combo is perfect one
And full day wifi on! Plus when not using wifi, 4G was on!
I've personally been using vertex for a few weeks now with a gapp prop tailored just to my liking for adding in just stuff I want and debloating of things I never use to clear up wasted space and absolutely love the current setup. Minimal, battery friendly, and zero issues with stability.

In search of the perfect Rom

Good day everybody,
I'm looking for a Rom for everyday use.
I dont want to modify much, but stability, performance, camera and battery life are very important to me. I would like something in the direction of Pixel Experience, Lineage, Resurrection Remix, etc.
I'd like to get away from the original MIUI Rom.
What are your experiences related to my criteria?
Thank you for your help!
I think your answer can be both lineage, omni and abc. All of them are solid roms and you can get them work with minimal amount of initial setup.
Edit: But there's no such a thing as "perfect rom". Luckily you've specified what you want to have as your daily driver or else my answer to your question would be definitely "you tell me" lol

Who is the fastest ROM ??

Hello,
I have a brand new RN5 pro yesterday, and i feel that MIUI is a bit laggy.
I see there are several alternative ROM, i do not how whick one to choose. I hesitate between LineageOS, PixelExperience, AOSiP as they appear to be the purest one, but maybe i am wrong.
Well, for those who have installed an alternative ROM, could you tell me if they are faster, more fluid than the MIUI one ?
What are your return of experience ?
Thanks in advance
All of them are good, flash away and try for yourself like everyone else. I'm tired of seeing a post like this everyday asking about which ROM is fast. They're all good and fast, in the end it all depends on personal preference when it comes to custom features.
I tested all of the roms you mentioned and im happy with AOSiP, i think that is the best, if you want a good performance in games use a kernel editor and change the governor to "performance" i do that only for gaming purposes
Use the p semi gsi with derp

Looking for a rom

Hi guys i know this is NOT the rom section, but is a question and i think the thread belongs here
i'm looking for a custom rom with these features
- extended battery life (mine is awful with the stock rom)
- increased brightness under sunlight
- smoothness (i hate the lag of the pixel)
is there a rom with these features? thank you
This is not a forum where you're spoon-fed information. You have to try a rom/kernel and see what you like. Or at the very least read each description.

You can read their features list in their OP (Post 1).
Wow.. spoon fed. Asking for user feedback seems like an appropriate use of the questions section of the forum, no? Every rom claims great battery and smoothness.. what's wrong with a little user input?
