Turn off Vibration when fingerprint Scanner is used - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

Anyone knows how to turn off vibration from the Fingerprint scanner ? I thought its not possible, but realized that after the battery falls below 15% and the phone goes into Battery Saver mode, it automatically turns off the vibration ( and you can use the scanner, ofcourse). Any way to disable it under normal usage ?

I dont think so, only with xposed and GravityBox or a simillar module i guess

Use these settings in xposed module Gravity Box, Lockscreen tweaks.

Super, thanks man.. working perfectly

[Q] Force-enabling the proximity sensor while the phone is asleep

I use the Gravity Screen app to turn my phone's screen on and off automatically. It works almost perfectly, but I have run into a problem: It seems that the Xperia Arc S disables the proximity sensor automatically when the phone is in deep sleep. This only happens if not connected to a charger though, if I connect the phone, it works perfectly.
My question is: Is it possible to force the phone to keep the proximity sensor on in deep sleep when the phone is running on battery? The app offers several work-arounds, like keeping the cpu awake (not very battery-friendly obviously), or combining the proximity check with a gravity sensor check for the phones position before turning the screen on, but the better solution would be to just enable the sensor.
I have tried creating an empty profile in tasker with the task "stop" and the state set to proximity, then enabled display-off monitoring in Tasker, but sadly this only seems to conflict with Gravity Screen's ability to read the sensor.
This whole thing could possibly also help make pocket mode work more reliably on our phones. I noobishly suspect that this change would have to be made on kernel level?

Faster fingerprint unlocking ?

So one day I was just using my phone and when the battery saver popped at 15%, I noticed that the phone unlocked noticeably faster using the fingerprint scanner than it did before the battery saver kicked in. After playing around with the settings, I figured out that the thing that caused this was the vibration that occurs when you unlock it using the fingerprint scanner, which when the battery saver is on disappears. I tried to disable " Vibration on touch " from the settings, but although it disabled most of the vibrations, it didn't disable the one when you unlock the phone. Is there any way to disable that without having to turn on the battery saver ? ( I'm not rooted because I don't have a usb type C adaptor yet, so if you find something that doesn't involve root, it would be excellent )
I think it has more to do with the animations. Battery saver turns off all animations, so try that and see if it works.

Weird Always on Sensor Condition

Hello guys
I have bought my pixel 3 xl recently
Today i tried to take a picture for my phone and it is locked ( screen off)
I noticed the sensor is always on in the notch
It is infrared sensor
I think it is the proximity sensor
I think this caused a huge battery drain in my phone
Maybe 2% per hour
Do you have the same sensor always on condition ?
Looks like the sensor is always on whenever the ambient display / double tap to check the phone is triggered
I have turned it off and i will monitor battery behavior

You shouldn't have to turn off AOD, and double tap does not use the proximity sensor. AOD is a key feature of the phone and I'm not seeing this. Try setting it back the way it was originally and running in safe mode to rule out a possible errant user app.

Double tap to wake needs proximity sensor to detect if the phone in your pocket
I have disabled AOD and double tap to wake
My battery has improved, also the phone now has less battery drain.

Dialer app with Proximity Sensor Option ?

My phone's proximity sensor is not working. Long story short, I had a guy change the display and after that when I call the display always blacks anyway probably he put something in front of the sensor. Anyway, I can't go to a proper technician because they are in another city far from here. In the oxygen os, if I press the power button, the display comes during call but in custom rom like Pixel Experience, Skydragon, Havoc it doesn't. However, in skydragon rom, I found a option in dialer, Disable Proximity Sensor which is actually life saving for me. But I want to use the Pixel Experience rom. Is there any way to get the Dialer app from Skydragon rom ? Or, any way to disable the Proximity Sensor ? I tried the Xposed app; didnt work though.
Right Dialer and Simple Dialer have the option to disable use of the Proximity Sensor. I was using the Sensors Off QS tile (under Developer Options) option previously automated under Tasker but it was kinda hit/miss. Unfortunately these apps don't support call recording it seems.

Tasker doesn't allays work with screen off, even without battery optimization

I would like to turn the torch on when the phone is shaken. This works, with event" motion left-right, action: toggle torch.
The problem is it does not always work when the screen is off. It sometimes works, which is really annoying. I've turned off battery optimization already for Tasker.
