I can't figure out how to enable USB debugging on this ROM. Could someone point me in the right direction ? Also for some reason the app black mart apk won't download. The play store has some apps I want that are only on that app and every time I try to install it I get the
"Not installed" notification. I allowed Google to "time to time monitor unknown apps for malicious activity" or whatever when I first started the ROM. Does that have anything to do with it perhaps?
Figured out blackmart problem. Now for debugging..
I'm guessing it's a 4.2 rom? If so, this is how you do it: How do I enable USB debugging on android 4.2.*? (The “Developer Options” menu item is gone!)
Huh. Weird. :sly:
I tried rooting my Nokia X according to Kashamalaga's guide, but I after extracting the Gapps APKs suggested in the 3rd step I rebooted the phone a bit too soon - failing to change the permissions options for the files. As a result, when the phone turned on there was a loading screen of "Starting apps", followed by looping popups saying : "Google Play services has stopped", "Setup Wizard has stopped", "Can't do this com.google.process.gapps at the moment", and other similar Google app failures.
Whenever I hit OK, another one shows up. I can access the pull down menu, but I can't access the Settings link.
I tried shutting the phone down and went for a factory reset (by holding the Volume Up button as the Nokia logo turns up on the screen and selecting said option), but that doesn't seem to change a thing.
Is there any way I can get it working again? I'd be really grateful for your help and feedback.
PS: I can't access the home screen, hence I can't access the Application Manager and it's like.

Let me know if that works, Naresh. Keep me in the loop.
Use Nokia Tool Kit my friends.
It might fix the error as well as install G-Apps. It has various options.

Hi, I'm trying to install an app on my unrooted and updated to the latest nexus 5x from a .apk file i have in the phone's memory and unable to do so.
I have the Unknown sources setting enabled so thats not that.
When I reach the installation screen the install button doesn't work but the cancel button next to it works just fine (screen shot attached).
Is there something I'm doing wrong? another setting that i should change?
Thanks.
EDIT: found the problem (screen filter) please delete thread.

Hi! I have a problem related to saving. When i want download something, Chrome says "Waiting for network", when i want to take a screenshot it says "a screenshot could not be made", when i want to take a photo, it says "camera error" and it closes when i press OK button. However installing apps from Google Play works.
NOTE: I never tried to do root or install Custom ROM on device. I'm running on official Android 8.0 update, and i only did hard reset once.
I am using samsung galaxy i9082, I rooted this device samsung galaxy i9082 and while uninstalling bloatware apps using TB I deleted syncmldm.apk. As a consequence I am unable to open system settings application, application is getting crashed with error message "Unfortunately, settings has stopped". Please could someone help me in solving this error. I tried hard reset but nothing helped, on top of that I lost "usb debugging" access as well.
I tried downloading rom of 4.2.2. But I don't know the procedure for extracting .apk file from it. Though I could able to file links for it, the process is too confusing for me. Great if syncmldm.apk is provided.
Android version is 4.2.2
