Trying to use Quickbooks but it won't let me?? - Galaxy Tab 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I'm trying to use the Quickbooks app but it tells me that it doesn't work with this device? It's running the same version of android as my S5 (4.4.2), so whats the issue? If I root and delete some of the AT&T bs will it work? Does anybody have experience making it work? Do I have to make Google thing it's another device altogether? Or is it just not going to work at all? I use the QB app for all of my CC processing, and thought a small tablet would be easier, and look a bit more professional than my phone. Thanks in advance.

Quickbooks is very good software for small business. I suggest you to content Quickbooks support number for solve your issues Directly.

Using mapidotnet to Create messages (Email/SMS)

Hi all,
I am trying to write an app using the following component to access the message stores on the phone...
http://www.codeproject.com/KB/windows/PocketPCandSmartphone.aspx?msg=2742467
or
http://sourceforge.net/projects/mapidotnet
Has anyone else used this? Is there a way to actually create a new message and move it into one of the stores?
Cheers
Yes...you need to either do it Natively [CE MAPI] or get a wrapper class of the CE MAPI for the .NET Framework.

yes i have used it in 2-3 apps of mine. and to create a message u need to use native code as suggested by cyclone... PM if you need help on that... beware i m not good in c++. but i have written a wrapper in .net for it.
Ok, I might take you up on that offer thanks!
I am going to give the 'In the Hand' component a whirl in evaluation mode to see if that helps, so I guess I would have to pay for that eventually, but if I can get it done in eval, then I only need to run my app once.

[Q] ANT+ compatible?

I haven't been able to find an answer anywhere, and in the Nexus S forums nobody replied there either. Does anyone know if the Galaxy Nexus supports ANT+? Thanks for any help.
Programs like ANT radio player etc don't show up on my GN, so I imagine it doesn't have ANT+, or google haven't correctly updated their list.
If you know an easy way to check I don't mine running something on my GN for you.
thanks, I was afraid that it may not have it. However, it's not a deal breaker for me.
Unfortunately, I don't know how to check for it, but thanks for the offer.

[Q] I'm not in US and want to make in app purchase

I got my Note 2 about a month ago and could not be happier with it. I am an iPhone convert.
The phone is not rooted.
The model of the phone is a Note 2 internationally unlocked from factory phone.
When I got it, it had installed 4.1.1. Then it updated to 4.1.2 – where it remains today.
I have a US credit card and address. There's been no problem purchasing apps from the play store for quite sometime.
Then I found an app that I wanted to purchase the pro version as an in app purchase. Google canceled the order and refunded the credit that I had purchased.
Further, Google blocked any additional purchases even from the browser of my computer (using a proxy).Right now, I'm waiting 24 more hours as when I put in a service ticket, they said wait 48 hours and try to purchase again and if there was a problem they would try to help me.
The problem seems to be with the in app purchase more than anything.
To be able to make this and other in app purchases easier, I would be willing to root my phone if there is a safe way of doing it.
Has anyone figured out how to do an in app purchase with a Note 2? Will rooting the phone give me this ability?
Sure would appreciate any help along these lines.
PS I even wrote to the developer asking if I can send the money directly for the pro version via Paypal or if they could let me buy it in some other way. They wrote back a rather short letter that that was the only way I could do it. I tried one more time to write to them, and they just ignored me. I'd like to give them money and I'd like to have the pro version of their program.
You may want to try market access app, (google market access apk) and spoof a US carrier. You will need root for that.

Thank you.
I looked on the Play Store and do not find market access (apk) or anything similar.
Can you tell me where I might find that?
Is Market Access how you spoof a US carrier or is that something else too I need to do?
Also, I am on a Mac, not a PC. I don't find instructions on rooting using a mac. Everything refers to a pc. Any ideas on that?
Sorry for these questions - even to me they sound very noobish. I working to come up to speed on all this as quickly as I can.

You won't need MAC to do it. Just download it using your phone and install the app.
If I'm understanding correctly, the API's need root access to work.
My device is not rooted yet. And I have a Mac. How do I root my device using a Mac instead of a PC. All directions about rooting my device talk about opening a. exe file on a PC.

[Q] PS3 Modification

Hello Everyone,
My goal is to create my own ps3 firmware. I do not know how to go about doing so. It's pretty elaborate. I want to recreate the XMB design (The default is just.......unimaginative). , I also want to install drivers onto the ps3. Does anyone know how to do this. Im willing to learn what ever coding language and buy any softwares needed for this task. I just need to know how to go about doing so. I've searched the net and turned up nothing. :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying: Please help me. I really "cant" deal with the current XMB and it's hardware being underused. I'd even be willing to share my firmwares with anyone who wants them.

[Q] Could someone try installing Talkback?

Hi all,
I'm thinking of buying a Fire TV but before I do I was wondering if someone could quickly try something for me. I'm totally blind & all my devices (phones, tablets, laptops etc) talk to me - if they didn't I wouldn't be able to use them. Most versions of Android come with a screen reader called Talkback but my research suggests that the Fire TV doesn't.
I was wondering if someone would be able to attempt to install Talkback and let me know what happens? Unfortunately I can't post the link but you should be able to find it by searching for Talkback. NB: the description on its page says that you will need to enable Talkback in settings so if it doesn't start talking once installed this may be why.
If you do manage to get it installed, I'd be interested in hearing how much speech you get when trying to use some of the stock apps so that I can work out if I'll be able to use it or not. A quick video / audio file of you doing a few things with it talking would be absolutely amazing but no worries if not.
Any help with this would be very much appreciated; if it can't be made to talk I simply won't be able to use it so I don't really want to buy it only to end up returning it shortly after. Sorry if this is a bit of a newbe type question - the only Android experience I've had was on an old Nexus 7 a couple of years ago so I have a lot to learn.
Cheers,
Ben.
Bump. Anyone? A video is completely optional - I just want to know if it starts talking once Talkback's installed & enabled. Thanks.
installed thorugh Aptoide but I don't know how to set it up once it installs. Does it have an app to go with it or is it just a service to activating by the google settings page. If it is that way the Fire TV does not have the same settings options as other android devices.

I think you have to enable it via the settings - how annoying. Is there no other way you can think of? Thanks for trying anyway!
