Is there a way to update the PRL from inside of CM 13? I'm trying to give this phone to someone else and Virgin Mobile won't activate it without it. I don't have a computer at the moment to use RUU so any help would be appreciated.

i've wondered this since acquiring the PRIMOC but have just assumed there isn't a way on VM. It was so easy on Sprint/Gingerbread, Eclair, or Froyo, at least with a Stock ROM
you probably figured it out by now but if not...search xda for the latest prl for your carrier, put it on your SD card, and then use EPST to update it. I think the code was ##775# (have your MSL ready).
To update profile (this assumes you are still on virgin mobile), just *228. If you flashed it to another carrier... PM me
If your phone's ROM is the official ruu ...
Phone inside usually upgrade information ...
However, if you use the ROM production ...
You will not havethis option ...
I have the same problem with my old phone Cricket which was active before they went to AT&T. I'm trying to use it for qlink but theres nowhere to 'update profile'. Can someone plz help me.
My mobile loss gsm signal when left ideal, Im not able to make/receive call neither able to send/receive sms.
If I restart my mobile Im able to receive call/sms, but than after some time again signal are loss but strange
thing is that My phone showing full bar all the time.
The sim Im using is working perfectly fine on other mobiles. I also tried re-inseting SIM
I tried restoring my mobile but it didn't work.
Anyone please help me fixing this problem

Are you able to switch the network type to wcdma only?
There was no option of changing network type in Setting
So I used the code *#*#4636#*#* and change it to GSM only, WCDMA
But it some times work for 5 to 10 minutes and after that even though my mobile shows full signal bar but i'm neither im able to receive call/sms nor able to send.

I'm not sure but maybe you could try to run an OTA update to update the ROM, bootloader, and modem to KK.

I dont know if Im running a stock ROM, but I tried to update software under setting but it says I have latest verison
Using ting, sprint samsung s3 and when I install the rom I always get the "no sim detected" after boot, I thought the 5.1.1 builds would fix the issue for me but so far no luck. Has anyone found a fix for this issue yet or is it just me? So far I tried CM12.1 and AICP version 9 both with 5.1.1, Stock android worked fine, but after installing lolipop I've had these issues.
hello, it happened to me, i have a boost mobile s3 and tried to update it to octos team 5.1.1 (cm12 based if im not wrong (sorry if im mistaking the cm release)) and i have downloaded the zip for sprint by mistake, and it give me the no sim detected message, i made a backup from recovery after upgradong, got back to 4.4.2, then ive downloaded the zip for boost mobile sph-l710t (triband) and it worked. doesnt ask for sim card and cdma carrier info (im on venezuela movilnet) and it works good!
Hello. I hope you can help me resolve some issues...
I have the samsung sgh-i747m version. I originally had it rooted on stock 4.4.2 and working with a knowroaming sim. The knowroaming sim would either connect to Rogers, Telus or Bell depending on the signal strength. Mainly Bell in my case. Anyways, I use the sim for whatsapp and it was giving me issues. Namely, notifications would stop working after the phone sits for a while. I read that it might be a problem with 4.4.2 so I decided to update it to 6.0.1. Reason I chose 6.0.1 is because the guide uses the same recovery as I do (CWM) and I'm guessing that since most development has moved on to 7.1, 6.0.1 should be stable?
Anyway, I flashed the ROM and everything seems to work fine except my knowroaming sim no longer works. In other words, it doesn't connect to any network Rogers, Telus, or Bell. For some reason, when I go search for networks, it always says no networks found. So I popped in my Telus sim from my other phone and it connected to the network fine but again, searching for networks shows no networks. I think knowroaming doesn't connect because it can't find any networks either. So I spent some hours looking to see what the problem is and some of the jargon is starting to confuse me and making me hate Samsung for the things they do.
I managed to download an app called Phone Info *Samsung* and I will list the information here and maybe you can tell me what is going on:
If you have any suggestions on what I should do to get the network providers showing up, then I'm all ears. If updating to a 7.1.2 rom will fix this issue, I'll gladly do it.

I tried the octa-m rom 7.1.2 and still the same thing. I'm going to go back to stock and try again.

I purchased my M8 recently and it came with Android 4.4 and didn't update so I installed marshmellow directly in it using a RUU. The installation was smooth but since after I can't seem to get 4G on my device even though it used to work.
Any help will be appreciated!
Check your settings, maybe 4g is disabled or you don't have the correct apn.
