My girlfriends Nexus 7 (2013) razorg has TWRP recovery and is rooted by flashing superSU. Firmware is 5.0.2, Build Nr. LRX22G and OTA to 5.1. is announced.
Now I want to update it to 6.0.1. and root it again. As I read about this device the best way would be to use a factory image and flash a superSU again.
Now my problem is to find out what version of superSU is the right one. Some infos are outdated and differ a lot.
I want to flash razorg-mob30x-factory-1cb173c1.tgz factory image.
Which version of superSU is the right one to use?
Thx in advance.
The latest 2.76 works fine.

On razor that is, I don't have the mobile version. Probably doesn't matter.

I just purchased a 2013 Nexus 7 and was intending to root and install custom recovery today,{TWRP}, I mistakenly applied the JSS15R update last night. Before I proceed is there anything different I need to do to unlock the bootloader, flash TWRP 2.6.0 and install SuperSU JWR66N or V 1.55 ? Please let me know if there would be any alterations to the procedure. Thanks in advance !!
Rooting JSS15R is same as previous versions
I have a several times tried to upgrade my Nexus 7 (2013) from stock Android 4.4.2 to 4.4.3. but I can't get it done.
My first attempt was a Nexus 7 (2013) with stock Android 4.4.2 + MultiRom v.2.6. + twrp 2.7.1.
When I got the OTA, the OTA was downloaded and Installed on my Nexus. Then my Nexus rebooted into twrp (without asking my to). After I rebooted twrp to system, I found out my Nexus was still on stock Android 4.4.2. I did not get any messages.
My second attempt was a upgrade with the tool Unfathomable.exe tool (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53680093#post53680093). My starting situation was again Nexus 7 (2013) with stock Android 4.4.2 + MultiRom v.2.6. + twrp 2.7.1.. This I attempt ended in a upgrade with no working WiFi. I recovered from this problem by flashing Google Factory Image stock Android 4.4.2. Is there someone how has a suggestion how I can upgrade my stock Android 4.4.2. to 4.4.3. on a Nexus 7 ((2013) with MultiRom v.2.6. + twrp v.2.7.1. ?
Please help?
Thanks in advance.
Why not flash the 4.4.3 factory image? Or even the 4.4.4 one (if you have the wifi only version)?

I got 2013 nexus 7 WiFi with ,5.1.1 lollipop, I rooted it with chainfire, its rooted now and unlock boot. Working all good, I have not got a custom reocvrry? Is that fine? And also will ota updates work? If I update will my root go ?
You don't need a custom recovery. You will only need it if you want to flash a zip. You will need to do that to for example install s custom Rom og kernel.
Since you have rooted your phone you will no longer be able to get OTA updates. If you want to get them you will need to unroot first. To do that open the SuperSU app. Then choose settings and then full unroot. After you do that and reboot you should be able to get OTA updates again. If you install a custom recovery or ROM tho, you will need to go back to full stock as well to use OTA.
If I unroot then I need to do root again by auto root chain fire? And also the latest update is 5.1.1 so when next update? I mean on the nexus 2013 7 is there no last update?

in less than a week the nexus 7 2013 will be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. as long as you have an unlocked boot loader you should have no problem getting root again. you could try cf autoroot but I would either use the Nexus Root Toolkit or fastboot to obtain root again
N7 2013 LTE -> I was using factory Marshmallow and just unlocked bootloader, rooted and installed TWRP.
Can I flash any ROMs now? eg going back to a Android 5.1.1 ROM? Is it just a simple ROM flash?
Yes. Do check the bootloader version anyways. It should've been updated to marshmallow version, shouldn't be a problem

Thanks. So as the boot loader is updated for marshmallow, I don't have to downgrade the bootloader or radio when going back to lollipop?
S-ON Rooted device is on 5.0.2 on Android Revolution HD 5.0 with TWRP version 2.8.6.4
want to update to the newest version of the Viper Rom since it is on Android 7. What steps do I need to take to get it to successfully flash?
Thanks
Flash back to stock and take the ota updates is the easiest way.
