What are people doing with this phone when random reboots continuously after a few mins on stock? Never dropped it. Not rooted or anything
First thing I'd do is do a clean install of the factory image. If it still reboots it's probably a hardware issue.

or for an easier start uninstall each app that has been installed at the time those reboots started to appear. if that doesn't help I'd factory reset / reinstall the device, too.

Hi, my problem started last month, by that time I was running MiNCO v5/ franco kernel , it started to shut down/ freeze if use a app more than 3 or 5 minutes, I lived with that until last week when I used the toolkit to flash it back to stock too see if the shut down / freeze problem stopped, everything flashed OK but when it rebooted it get freeze on the boot animation, then tried flashing again and still freezes on boot, then I tried flashing to stock with Odin everything flashed well but still gets freeze on boot, does I am doing something wrong? Can anyone help me?

Last night my phone was lagging, but I didn't think anything of it. This morning, it had turned itself off. I turned it on, it stayed on for about 5 seconds, then made a weird noise and rebooted. It does the same thing on reboot and keeps looping.
I booted into recovery without a problem, wiped everything, flashed an old rom, and rebooted. It turns on as if it is still running the old rom and does the same noise/reboot thing. I tried factory resetting with Odin, but it keeps failing. I tried pushing files to the phone through the Android Toolkit, but that's not working, either.
Any ideas? I have no idea what happened or why it's acting as if it's read-only.
GSM Nexus; was running CM11 Snapshot 6.
Just a shot in the dark, is the micro USB port clean? Maybe it's shorting out.

Im having the same problem any ideas how t fix it guys ?
My brothers Galaxy Nexus crashed two days ago and rebooted. Since than whenever you boot it again, it boots normally but after about 10 seconds crashes and reboots again. No matter if you unlock it, SIM installed or not, with external power or not makes no difference. Always keeps crashing and rebooting. So the first thing I did was a factory reset within the bootloader. When it restarted nothing was wiped. Wallpaper, unlock code and all apps were still there.
Weird.
So I decided to flash the the whole stock image again. Downloaded the latest version from Google and flashed it. Took a fairly long time (30 minutes), but had no errors or irregularities and had the same result as the factory reset -> nothing. Everything is still there.
How can this even be? The only thing I could imagine is a broke storage. Is this a possibility?
Thanks in advance
It might be a broken storage. One thing you can try is to flash an older version than upgrade via OTA. Assuming that you have 4.3, you can flash 4.2.2 than via OTA, you can update. I had a rebooting problem before, but it was because of my battery. When I unlocked my bootloader I was surprised to see that my data was still there but when I factory reseted, it was gone. My nexus 5x turning off suddenly (software crashing) while using camera or playing game. I have rooted phone before and i was using custom ROM. Problem of software crash started so i have unrooted my phone, locked boot loader and loaded stock ROM. Phone is working normal but as soon as i open camera app or ply game for 5 minutes it is shutting down. I have to start again using power button. Phone is running on latest stock software and i have recovered standard boot loader. Wiped cash memory and reset to factory setting three times. But nothing seem to working.
Is it hardware issue ? any application to check hardware malfunction ?
Any help will be appreciated.
Try to flash a previous version such as MTC19V or MTC19T
So, I had been using my nexus 5x for over one year
I unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP and rooted it, it worked fine for over 6 months, a week ago it started randomly freeze (didn't matter the app I was using in that moment), got stuck for 10/30 seconds and than rebooted it self, worked again for 20 minutes, than freeze, reboot and worked for 15 minutes, freeze reboot worked for 5 minutes, freeze reboot and frezee and reboot while it was rebooting again and again...
than I decided to reinstall it to factory img, 2 days withouth any crhash and now it started again doin that... It's driving me mad... what should I do?
I'm 100% sure it is not a malware or any app problem
flash a custom ROM and a custom kernel, see if the problem persists
